Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

Day three results just in! All 9 are still growing!!
They score them 1-4 ( 1 being highest) and we have...
1x grade 1
And 8 x grade 2! I am over the moon Grin

brighteye3986 · 02/02/2019 13:56

That's great news @Justwaitingforaline

I'm feeling very crampy today with my first scan since starting stims booked for Monday which is also the first scan DH will be with me for due to his work schedule. Luckily he is able to come to all of my appts this week with the anticipation that EC will take place on the 11th.... 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Hi all,

Have been reading this thread and keeping my fingers crossed for you all since December. I’ve just finished my first round of IVF and have just got a BFP on 9dp5dt, I cannot believe that it worked, I feel so so so lucky.

I started on norethisterone then bemfola and cetrocide. Started off with 12 follicles at my baseline scan, collected 7 eggs of which 4 fertilised and 2 made to blastocyst. We’ve had one frozen and a 3AB grade embryo put back which has amazingly stuck.

I did do a few things which may or may not have helped. (They most likely we’re just a distraction from all the stress!). Had acupuncture, drank loads of pure Pomegranate juice, had MacDonald’s french fries after embryo transfer. Ate loads of vegetable, avocados, berries, wild salmon, Brazil nuts and water.

I Cannot believe it, I just hope this sticks. Fingers crossed for you all xx

Rememberallball · 02/02/2019 14:49

Congratulations @Ilikehamsandwiches. If you head over to the Pregnancy board there is a blossoming group called Due October 2019 and we’ve all recently got our bfp’s!!

Rememberallball · 02/02/2019 14:50

Fabulous news about your embryo development, @Justwaitingforaline. Fingers crossed they all keep going to day 5!!

miamiibiza · 02/02/2019 15:19

@Ilikehamsandwiches congratulations on your BFP.
I'm 2dp5dt. Any advice for me? What can I do to increase the chances of this working? I'm so hopeful for it to work.
When did you start to feel like it had worked?

Ilikehamsandwiches · 02/02/2019 15:26

miamiibiza Thank you. I had a slice of pineapple (including the core) for 5 days after transfer. I think it’s an old wives tale but I did It mostly to feel like I had some control over everything (if that makes sense). Brazil nuts and Pom juice are supposed to be good too. And I relaxed a lot.

I started to feel like it may have worked on 7dpt5dt. I had pressure In my pelvic area and slight cramps, pulling. I had a really dry mouth and dry lips. My boobs stopped hurting at around 7/8dpt but felt fuller if that makes sense. Apart from all that I’m feeling okay. Good luck fingers crossed for you x

Ilikehamsandwiches · 02/02/2019 15:26

Rememberallball thank you 😊

womaninkent · 03/02/2019 10:08

@ilikehamsandwiches great news, congratulations. Plus it’s alwys so nice to hear a good news story on here.

@justwaitingforaline great numbers!

Ginger951 · 03/02/2019 11:18

@justwaitingforaline those are great numbers! U must be very happy!
@brighteye3986 how did your scan go? My hubby went with me for my stims scan Friday, for the first time. Made him finally feel more involved and excited about it all.
@ilikehamsandwiches congratulations!

Question for those in know. What does dp and dt mean? And how is it worked out?

Next scan tomorrow, had to reduce my stims as im developing too fast apparently! So looks all set for a Wednesday collection. So scared of the collection, I HATE needles! And I'm terrified of having a canular! Trying not to think about it but concentrate of all the other bits.

Positivity86 · 03/02/2019 14:58

Congratulations @Ilikehamsandwiches 😊

I've got my transfer tomorrow and am I'm still feeling quite uncomfortable from egg collection. I feel well in myself (no temp, sickness etc) but still have bloating and pressure, especially when I need the toilet. Did anyone else still have this by transfer? Not sure if that's normal or not! I was going to call the nurse in the morning if I still feel uncomfortable.

womaninkent · 03/02/2019 15:00

@ginger951 as I understand it ‘dp’ means days post and ‘dt’ means day transfer. So 8dp5dt means someone who had a transfer of 5 day embryos 8 days ago. 4dp3dt would be someone who had a transfer of 3 day embryos 4 days ago.

Ilikehamsandwiches · 03/02/2019 15:03

Positivity86 Yes I had pain and pressure at transfer and I was also still bleeding a little bit, it did settle down after though. Good luck with your transfer xx

Ilikehamsandwiches · 03/02/2019 15:04

Still call your nurse to double check though xx

Ilikehamsandwiches · 03/02/2019 15:06

Ginger951 good luck with egg collection, and take it easy after! The drugs are great so you won’t be awake for it.

Positivity86 · 03/02/2019 16:07

@Ilikehamsandwiches thank you! I've just had some acupuncture and that has helped a bit actually 😊 x

@Ginger951 best of luck for your egg collection!

Justwaitingforaline · 04/02/2019 07:36

Well, I have my period! 5 days post Egg collection. I’m actually really happy to see it because it should mean 4 weeks until getting on with our FET Grin TTC does weird things to a woman...

Im due to speak to the clinic today regarding our eggs/how many we can freeze - is it premature to want to get booked in for our FET consult and order meds?

LIONA1990 · 04/02/2019 09:48

Day 5 results in! 7 so far made it to blastocyst and freeze quality with a couple being top quality. Expecting a call later to see if any make it today and we should get a full run down then of grading. So happy!!

Can't believe the difference still between cycles.

@justwaitingforaline oh fabulous!!! We are doing the same! Praying for MN to come so we know then it's only 4 weeks from then!!! So chuffed for you!!

Calmed down and less stressed about FET now. Still suffering pain wise x

Justwaitingforaline · 04/02/2019 09:58

LIONA amazing news!! 7 blasts is amazing, you must be so happy. I’m still uncomfortable too - I will call clinic later to ask if I can use tampons but I’m pretty sure the recommended is pads only which is fine except it’s a bit of a blood bath Blush

womaninkent · 04/02/2019 10:54

Great news @justwaitingforaline and @liona1990.
Good luck with your transfer @positivity86.

brighteye3986 · 04/02/2019 11:41

So I've just had my first scan after starting stims.... had 11 follicles on my right with the biggest being 11 and smallest 7. Then had 15 on my left with the biggest being 13 and smallest at 5. Booked for my next scan on Wednesday to see how they are progressing.

Great news @LIONA1990

Good luck @Positivity86

@womaninkent Thank you. Can't believe the day is finally here!

@LIONA1990, @Justwaitingforaline
and @brighteye3986 great news 😊 x

Ginger951 · 04/02/2019 17:02

All sounds like we are doing so well!
@brighteye3986 those are some good results!
@LIONA1990 & @Justwaitingforaline sounds like this are going great!
@positivity86 good luck for the transfer!

Final scan this morning, things are looking good. Got my trigger tomorrow and then collection Thursday. Little disappointed as earlier I was told it would be Wednesday. Which is silly, it's one day. But getting uncomfortable now. Lol just want these eggs out, want to get started. Silly really.

Positivity86 · 04/02/2019 17:26

I had a grade 1 blast transferred today and it was starting to hatch! Very happy. 3 have been frozen too 😊

Rememberallball · 04/02/2019 18:06

Great news @positivity86. One of our transferred blasts was a hatching 5BA (along with a 4AB). We are now 5+4 and I’m off for a viability scan next Tuesday to see if just one or both have lasted!!
