Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

Just had the call! Of the 13 eggs we kept, 10 were mature and 9 have fertilised!

I am over the bloody moon Grin

LIONA1990 · 31/01/2019 10:32

@womaninkent and @rememberallball thank you! I'm trying not to get too excited as I went from 10 to 1 in our first round but still taken back by the numbers. Still can't believe it. :)

@justwaitingforaline that's amazing! Well done!!! Fabulous! :)

Positivity86 · 31/01/2019 10:37

Wow @LIONA1990 and @Justwaitingforaline great numbers! Congrats!
Out of our 10 eggs we had 6 mature and all 6 fertilised naturally. We are so happy! 😊

Rememberallball · 31/01/2019 10:47

Brilliant result @justwaitingforaline!! We went from 15 collected from donor to 13 fertilised, 10 on day 3 and 5 on day 5. 2 were transferred and 3 have been frozen!!

womaninkent · 31/01/2019 11:00

@justwaitingforaline @liona1990 and
@positivity86 those are all fantastic results! Well done!

Saltisford · 31/01/2019 17:47

Congrats everyone on your numbers! So I’m supposed to pregnancy test on Monday and I’ve been so bloated this week. I still don’t know why so I rang the hospital and they told me to go home from work, rest and have tomorrow off so I guess I’ll just read your updates! Do you think it’s being on my feet that’s doing it? X

womaninkent · 01/02/2019 08:56

Hope you're feeling better today @saltisford. I haven't really had any symptoms until now although I've woken up today feeling like my period is on its way which might be a good or might be a bad sign. Keep your feet up!

Ginger951 · 01/02/2019 13:10

@saltisford could be being on your feet or it could be the cocktail of drugs that has just been through your body. I would use it as a fab excuse to put your feet up, drink plenty of water, have a nap. Try not to worry. How many days will you be come Monday?

Had my scan this morning and it's looking all good, 21 follicles at present and no signs of OHSS. Back on Monday looking at a Wednesday collection. Excited now and terrified that we won't get enough eggs or that his terrible swimmers won't be strong enough to fertilize what we do get.
Anyone else ahead of me, that has had icsi who can offer any hope?

Saltisford · 01/02/2019 13:36

Thanks @womaninkent and @Ginger951. I’m currently chilling and just watched Loose Women!

I think feeling like your period is coming could also be a sign of pregnancy from what I’ve read? Does anyone also know if the progesterone pessaries suppress your period?

On Monday, I will be 12 days past transfer. Also, if your clinic think that your partner’s sperm is not able to fertilise your eggs, they may offer you ICSI on the day. That is what happened to us x

Ginger951 · 01/02/2019 13:47

@saltisford oh yeah we will be need icsi already know that.
What were your collection and fertilisation numbers, if u don't mind me asking.

I don't know about the pessaries but I do know that the drop in your progesterone is what triggers your period. Which is y I believe they have us using them for so long. After messing with so much of our cycles we need as long a luteral phase as possible.

womaninkent · 01/02/2019 14:05

Hi @ginger951 my dh’s sample was about 3.5m and that was plenty. They only need to find about 20 good ones! Good luck.

@saltisford my understanding is that we don’t get a period until we stop with the progesterone. The issue is that any early pregnancy symptoms can just be the progesterone so i’m trying not to pay much heed. When’s your test day?

Rememberallball · 01/02/2019 18:02

Yesterday’s blood results are back and my hCG has more than doubled again - now 5,344. No more tests for me as GP and clinic in cyprus are happy with results - cyprus still think it’s a multiple pregnancy.

I have managed to organise a scan while we’re in Bermuda - on the 12th February so I will be 6+5 and will hopefully see sac/s and possibly even heartbeat/a!! I was so impressed with the clinic, I spoke to them on Wednesday and the managing director called me back today after checking with not only their medical insurers that they were covered under their insurance to do a scan for a non Bermudan resident. She also spoke with the island’s chief obstetrician to ask her if she would be kind enough, with the correct paperwork from this end to show what I’ve had done and dates etc plus something from my ivf consultant to say he wants a 6+ weeks viability scan (all of which I’ve provided) to sign off on both the scan request and also the results. I’m now provisionally booked in for the 12th February (6+5) with them for the scan!!

Kay2705 · 01/02/2019 18:30

Wooo @Rememberallball those are great levels!

Kay2705 · 01/02/2019 18:31

What trigger shot did everyone use? I used ovitrelle 250 and wondering how long to leave system.

Saltisford · 01/02/2019 18:48

@ginger951 and @womaninkent - thanks for the tips.

They retrieved 10 eggs for me, 7 fertilised and became embryos with ICSI, 4 became blastocysts, 1 was transferred and 2 frozen.

My test day is Monday arrgggghhhh! Xx

Rememberallball · 01/02/2019 21:10

@Kay2705, my cycle was donor egg so I didn’t have down regging, stims or trigger shot so was able to have beta hCG checked 7dpt. I think they reckon on being clear of trigger shot (whichever drug you use) levels by around day 10. Hence they state OTD as 12dpt.

womaninkent · 01/02/2019 23:08

@kay2705 I think I used ovitrelle but no idea how long it takes to leave the system, sorry! My OTD is Wednesday which will be 18 days after I did the trigger shot.

@saltisford-so close to the end of the 2WW.

@rememberallball that sounds great

Saltisford · 02/02/2019 07:54

I used Ovitrelle and the clinic have given me my test date as 12 days past transfer.

Justwaitingforaline · 02/02/2019 08:21

Morning all, sounds like lots of great progress and news on here!

Is anyone else struggling to sleep post egg collection? I had mine on wednesday - the first night was fine but my god, I have not been able to get to sleep until 1/2am the past two nights - I am exhausted Sad

Positivity86 · 02/02/2019 09:57

Morning, we've had our day 3 embryo update and all 6 that fertilised are still going strong...transfer will be on Monday afternoon!

@womaninkent and @Saltisford sending lots of luck ahead of your OTD.

@Justwaitingforaline I've been fine getting to sleep, but getting up early to do my pessaries means I don't then get back to sleep! I have to do 3 a day 8 hours apart. Hope you can get some naps in!

Ginger951 · 02/02/2019 10:43

Been doing some research and looks like it takes around 12-14 days for ovitrelle for leave your system. Which means if you test 12 days post transfer, any result you get won't have anything to do with your trigger shot. As you would be 17 days post trigger.

I'm glad I know as I'm going to find it so hard not to test!

womaninkent · 02/02/2019 10:53

Thanks @positivity86. Sounds like really good news with you!

@justwaitingforaline I have had a couple of nights when I’ve woken up early in the morning and struggled to get back to sleep. I’ve been blaming the progesterone!!

@ginger951 good luck resisting testing. I don’t have any tests in the house which helps as if they were here I think I might give in in a moment of weakness.

Justwaitingforaline · 02/02/2019 11:18

womaninkent I’m not taking progesterone because of doing a FET so I can’t blame that! I think it might just be anxiety - I’m still waiting on a call from the chuffing embryologist
