Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

@Nordicmom I will be starting 225 gonal f tonight along with 150 buserelin in the morning.

I was speaking with my nurse and acupuncturist about meds and they said it would be based on results from bloods etc to what dosages they give you.

@brighteye3986 thanks-I feel fine after the transfer-just tired from the progesterone!

@ginger951 hope you’re doing better today

@nordicmom I was on 150 gonal f reducing to 100. I wouldn’t read too much into it-I think they play with everyone’s dose to see what works.

Nordicmom · 28/01/2019 08:57

Yes I do know it depends on the person what doses ,I’ve done this before but wanted to have a general idea ! I’ve done short protocol before and it was successful so I will ask about that among other things if this is a cancelled cycle ...

Hope everyone is doing okay at the moment.

I am off the norethisterone (so glad that is over and coming off it has made me feel so ill). I am day 2 and off for my baseline scan later and then hopefully will start stims tonight if all goes well.

I'm hoping the bemfola isn't too bad and I'm not as tired on that as I am on norethisterone. I know I need to stop the caffeine now I'm starting to stim, but I really need it to stay awake at the moment!

CornishMaid1 · 28/01/2019 09:11

@nordicmom I'm on bemfola rather than gonal-f, but they are all the same sort. My starting dose is 150 I think and then drops to 75, but I am on a 'lite' cycle with lower meds due to the risk of OHSS.

Ginger951 · 28/01/2019 09:20

@nordicmom I'm on 150 menupor, long protocol. However I know they have big concerns of over stimulating me. Try not to worry or work yourself up to much. They will be making the best choices they can to try and give you the best chance possible. Until you have your scan it would be impossible to predict.

@womaninkent I am feeling better still spotting but not as badly. Will give them a call if it's still going on come 12.

Nordicmom · 28/01/2019 10:00

I’m just preparing myself for the possibility that I won’t respond which is new to me and thinking about what next ...

Justwaitingforaline · 28/01/2019 10:17

Good morning all, I’ve just come from the clinic. All systems go for egg collection on Wednesday but it does look like it will be a freeze all cycle due to how many follicles I’ve got over the ‘yes it’s time to collect’ line - I’m just waiting on the results of a blood test as that will determine whether or not I trigger with Ovitrelle or Buserelin

Positivity86 · 28/01/2019 17:15

I had my final stims scan today and egg collection is all set for Wednesday. Trigger tonight!

@Justwaitingforaline good luck with your egg collection too and @CornishMaid1 I hope starting stims goes well for you x

brighteye3986 · 28/01/2019 19:07

First gonal-f injection completed. It felt like it was going on forever with a dose of 225! Feels like I've done something wrong but I'm sure it's all ok.

How's everyone doing??

Well done @brighteye3986 😊

Justwaitingforaline · 29/01/2019 07:04

My god, I triggered last night at 9pm with Buserelin and I feel awful this morning. I’ve not had any discomfort all through stimms and today, I can barely walk Sad my stomach is so sore.

brighteye3986 · 29/01/2019 07:53

@Justwaitingforaline oh no that's not good. I hope it eases off a bit.

I ache today after day 1 of stims. My body seems to really suffer the side effects of these meds.

womaninkent · 29/01/2019 08:10

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well after triggering @justwaitingforaline. Take it easy for today and drink lots of water. I’m sure after egg collection you’ll feel like a new woman (once you’ve got over the egg collection!). Sorry to hear it might be an all freezing cycle-here’s hoping for lots of frosties.

Well done @brighteye3986. Those gonal F pens can be fiddly!

@positivity86 good luck with egg collection.

Hello Ladies,

I am doing a FET cycle, I am due to transfer this afternoon but I am in a dilemma I would appreciate any advice.

I had two early five day blastocysts, it was decided that they would thaw the embroy the day before in hope it would grow more overnight.
They thawed the first embryo which only thawed to 70%, they look for a minimum on 80%
We decided to thaw the second embryo to give us the best chance as advised by the embryologist, this thawed 100% so it was decided to watch them both overnight.

Embryologist called with an update this morning:
Second thawed embryo is looking beautiful and is now a 4ab
The first one has survived the night, but has developed much slower only being a grade 2.

I need advice on please:

If the grade two develops further they could possibly refreeze, anyone ever done this? If so what happened, would you do it again?

If the grade two is not suitable for the refreeze do I ask them to put it in along with the other embryo to give it a chance? Which means I will transfer 2 embryos, good or bad idea?

Has anyone else transferred a higher and low grade embryo with success?

Rememberallball · 29/01/2019 11:57

@Positivethinkingrainbow, not sure how old you are as that can have an impact on the number of embryos clinics will transfer. I’m ancient (47) and had 2 embryos transferred this time and am now 4+5. Blood results at 7dpt we’re quite high and consultant thinks it could be a multiple pregnancy. Last cycle (my 1st) I had 4 embryos frozen but only 3 survived being thawed and they decided to transfer them all.

The embryos this time were a 4AB and a 5BA and I’ve got a 3AB and 2 medium quality embryos frozen for possible future use.

I would be guided by your team and the embryologist especially. Good luck xx

Kay2705 · 29/01/2019 13:15

Hey ladies

Any one in the tww? Had a transfer yesterday so 1dp5dt and got cramps already. Hope this is a good

womaninkent · 29/01/2019 19:11

@kay2705 i’m in the 2WW (had 5 day embryo transfer on Saturday).Hard to tell if I have had some very mild cramps or if it is just my overactive imagination. How are you doing otherwise? I’m glad i’m very busy at work or I would have driven myself mad by now.

@positivethinkingrainbow hope the transfer went well whatever you decided.

Good luck to everyone with egg collection tomorrow!

Positivity86 · 29/01/2019 19:42

Thank you @womaninkent, can't believe it's nearly here!

Saltisford · 29/01/2019 21:49

Hiya, I’m also in the 2WW and 6dp5dt and I’m very bloated! It seems to be less first thing in the morning then builds up in the evening. I actually look pregnant! Is this a good sign? I have some mild feelings going on in there too. It’s nail biting!! X

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 30/01/2019 06:52

@Kay2705 @Saltisford @womaninkent
I transferred yesterday, so we can go symptom spotting crazy together!
Have you taken the week off work? I've got today off, but I'm undecided weather to go to work Thursday and Friday.
Half me thinks just to stay home and relax, then I think going to work will stop me over thinking.

Anyone eating pineapple?

BABY DUST XXX

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 30/01/2019 07:03

@Rememberallball
Thank you for your message, firstly I have everything crossed for your blood test high numbers and your embryos. It's such an emotional journey it's lovely to hear some good news to focus the mind.
I'm was 35 last September.

The small one was still only a grade 2 and they really doubt anything will come of it. But decided it would not harm to put it in too for peace of my mind as it was too small to freeze again.
What do you do with yourself on the 2ww? Xxx

Justwaitingforaline · 30/01/2019 08:25

Sat in a hospital bed, waiting for egg collection! I’m second on the list apparently so should get going around 9.15ish!

The hardest bit currently is not being allowed a tea. DH has just been whipped away to the andrology department to do his bit... Grin

Positivity86 · 30/01/2019 08:49

Best of luck @Justwaitingforaline. No tea and breakfast is the hardest part right! We are just about to leave for the clinic for ours x
