Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

@brighteye3986 great news. I still think you deserve the spa day anyway after all you’ve been through.

I found out that 11 of my eggs have fertilised which is pretty exciting, although I know still a long way to get to day 3/day 5 for transfer. Also a lot less sore today!

Yes, I am definitely still doing the spa day. Just going to wait until Friday before I book it as want to know my plan dates for the next part of the process

Great news @brighteye3986 - i still say my friend was right when she said it’s the only time when ttc that we’re willing af to show her face. I’m glad it’s here now and you can plan your baseline scan later in the week. Good luck xx

Brilliant number of fertilised eggs, @womaninkent. We had 13 fertilised eggs out of 15 this cycle, down to 10 excellent and 3 slow on day 3 but only 4 useable on day 5 (or so we were told). Then, on day 6 we were told they’d biopsied the remaining embryo’s prior to freezing and made the decision that 3 were good enough. I’m hoping to find out the grading for our 3 Frosties when we go to the clinic tomorrow.

I’m having my first scan tomorrow after starting stim a week ago . The last few days I’ve been aching so somethings definitely happening . It’ll be interesting to hear what they’ll see tomorrow ...

Just had my stims scan and all is looking good, lots of follicles on each side, some large and some smaller. I can definitely feel lots of actively in there! Another scan booked for Friday.

How was your scan @Nordicmom?

Waiting to go in now . Interestingly had a tiny bit of blood when I just went to the loo . Don’t remember that happening before while stim .

Scan went well this morning, still had 30 follicles growing well! Egg collection is planned for next Wednesday so they’ve ordered me two more Cetrotide packs as I only had enough too Sunday. I’m wondering if they might recommend we freeze all due to how many follicles I have.

Back Friday for another scan!

apparently my body is taking its time responding despite the physical familiar feeling I’ve been having for a few days now . Does happen in ladies over 35 though apparently . Going back on Friday and I’ve mentioned I had Gonal f and Menopure last time so I’m hoping that they’ll increase my doze in some way !!!!
I just precooked the hotel for halfterm in Finland to go see my parents but now might not be able to if this all drags on . I guess we’ll have to see and just do flights right before if we’re able to go at all .

I had my first fresh cycle back in Sept last year, I had 28 eggs collected!!! Our clinics policy was to "Freeze All" when 25eggs or more are collected.
I did get mild OHSS, did not feel poorly as the gave me Cabergoline tablets to bring my ovaries down as they were measuring about 8cm each (normally about 2cm)

But I was REALLY BLOATED from the fluid, like I looked 9 months pregnant which felt cruel.

So keep your mind prepared for a freeze all, I was very disappointed but it is for the best.

We had 4 frosties, did our first FET end of November which unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy. Our next FET is Tuesday, so excited but also very scary.

Back from the clinic ladies and I’m no longer PUPO - I’m officially pregnant!! HCG was 99 which consultant says is a fantastic number for 7 days post transfer and could well indicate multiple pregnancy. We did have 2x 5 day blasts transferred so it’s entirely possible!!

@Nordicmom, sorry to hear your body is being slow to respond; I hope the scan on Friday shows more positive news and they come up with a plan to help things along xx

Heard back from my ivf doc and I’ll start Gonal F alongside Menopure from Fri like last time but it’s half and half of what I’ve been taking Menopure until now . Will have to hope my ovaries will wake up !
