Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

@Wupiny - This is so weird! I first went to my GP in Feb last year and then CRM in May. It took a while to have the hycosy then a laparoscopy in October. They didn’t want to operate on my tube just referred me straight to IVF. Maybe because they’re not swollen or anything?

I have exactly the same feelings - I’m excited as I feel like a mother of seven but unsure as to whether I will get a BFP!

I had a lot of cramping type pains yesterday evening like extreme period pain but it’s a lot better today. The bloating doesn’t seem too bad. How do you feel about the suppositories LOL? I had to wake up at 7am to put one in and hadn’t thought about weekend lie-ins!

I’m trying to take it easy too. Usually I’m rushing around. I’m going to stop going to my Zumba class I think? I’m planning on eating healthily too but it depends on our definition of healthy - I don’t want to cut out an essential food group and just try and eat a balanced diet? What type of diet are you considering? X

Afternoon from Cyprus, where I’m now 3dp5dt x2 embryo’s. While it’s ridiculous to be symptom spotting (or not) this early, I could swear I’m having crampy, achey tugging feelings in my lower abdomen, somewhat like the early signs AF is on the way but not - if that even makes sense. Reading the paperwork the clinic gave me my transfers were a 4AB and a 5BA which, from what I read online (Bourne Clinic website) is pretty good.

Great news on the embryo count @Saltisford and @Wupiny. Good luck for your transfers on Wednesday. We will be having our first blood test then - because we’ve used a pan egg donor they can test earlier because there’s less likelihood of false reading due to residual hCG from the trigger shot.

How is everyone else doing at the moment?

womaninkent · 19/01/2019 22:05

Great numbers @saltisford and @wupiny

Sorry to hear AF hasn’t showed up @brighteye3986- hopefully your scan on Monday will clear up what’s going on.

@rememberallball those sound like great grades- good luck

It’s been a weird week here. At my scan on Weds the clinic decided I was very overstimulated and got into a bit of a panic. After a blood test they calmed down and just cut back on my gonal f dose. By Friday they decided a load of the eggs they’d seen on Weds weren’t there after all and everything had slowed down due to cutting gonal f dose. Not sure how you can lose a load of eggs Hmm. They rang me on Fri asking me to take an extra dose of gonal f but i was at work so couldn’t. Still, just done my trigger shot and egg collection on Monday. Not sure if there’s any eggs big enough to collect!! At least i’ve finished with the injections.

Good luck on mon womaninkent!
Only on stim day 4 here and going a bit crazy here now that kids are away for the weekend . I continue to be insanely tired and am having headaches but I have vestibular migraines so could be that not the Menopure . I’m really worried we won’t get anything to put in my numbers were so low last time and I was 7 y younger then . There’s no way I can be positive I’m just going through the motions but trying to rest as much as I can and take my vitamins and eat my fruit and veg ...

Positivity86 · 20/01/2019 10:21

Best of luck @Saltisford, @Wupiny, @womaninkent and @Rememberallball. Exciting times!

I'm on day 5 of stims and feeling fine, just a few twinges in my ovaries. Scan on Wednesday.

Nordicmom · 20/01/2019 15:48

Correction since it was past midnight I’m
On stim Day 5 as well and scan on Wed like Positivity ..

Justwaitingforaline · 21/01/2019 12:38

Morning all! I had my first follicle scan this morning ( day 6 of stimms) - I have 30! 18 on the right, 12 on the left. The nurse said they all look great, just a touch on the small side so she’d going to talk to the consultant and see if my dose of Gonal F needs to be adjusted. Back on Wednesday and Friday for more scans!

brighteye3986 · 21/01/2019 13:25

I had my investigation scan today. I still need AF to come as my lining is too thick. Although I have had a little spotting since last night I am hoping the prodding from the scan will be help it come along. Knowing my luck it will turn up tonight or tomorrow now. I'm thinking of booking myself a spa day to help me relax a little.

@justwaitingforaline wow that's a lot of eggs! Good news though!

@brighteye3986 hopefully it will start very soon for you so you can get the process moving along.

How is everyone else doing?

womaninkent · 21/01/2019 16:24

@vikkid2007 thanks for asking. They collected 18 eggs today. Obviously doesn’t mean any will actually fertilise but very pleased. Feeling pretty sore!

@justwaitingforaline great numbers. Keep drinking the water (as I’m sure they told you lots of times!)

@brighteyes3986 sorry you’re still waiting-I’m sure it’s so frustrating! A spa day sounds entirely deserved.

Kay2705 · 21/01/2019 16:42

Hi all,

I commented a while back but I'm sure it's lost somewhere down down below.

Currently doing my first cycle ivf. EC on Wednesday so triggering tonight. I'm on a somewhat mild ivf plan as that's what my clinic specialises in.

Just got a call from my clinic to say my blood work was quite high so when I have the EC on Wednesday it might be a freeze all plan as I may have ohss. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Not telling family about ivf so literally got no one to talk to about it :(

Vikkid2007 · 21/01/2019 16:56

@womaninkent well done that's a great number! Make sure you rest up and drink plenty. I didn't feel normal again until 5 days later. I was so bloated!

Fingers crossed plenty fertilise overnight x

Positivity86 · 21/01/2019 17:34

@Justwaitingforaline and @womaninkent great numbers! Fingers are crossed for you.

@brighteye3986 i hope AF is finally on her way for you, sounds promising. A spa day would be perfect.

@Kay2705 best of luck for Wednesday.
It can be a lonely journey all of this...You can talk to us on here anytime! Do your clinic offer counselling? If so, that is someone else to talk to who understands 😊

@Vikkid2007 how is the 2 week wait going?!

Vikkid2007 · 21/01/2019 17:44

@positivity86 it's going ok. Feel like I'm constantly googling my lack of symptoms! I had cramping for first 4 days after transfer but now nothing. I know it's normal, some people have them and some don't but I can't help think maybe it's not good news. Test day Friday!

Rememberallball · 21/01/2019 18:08

Hi @Vikkid2007, I’ve found I’m having a few crampy aches every so often since Saturday 3dpt and today I’m 5dpt. I’m having a blood test on Wednesday but I’m also wondering if it’s a good thing - I’d almost be happy to start getting nausea (not that I want it!!) so I would know it’s good news!!

womaninkent · 21/01/2019 18:08

@positivity86 and @vikkid2007 thanks! My husband is being a fairly strict nurse so just rested all day.

@kay2705 sorry to hear about that. When I went in last Weds for the second scan on stims they told me I was overstimulated and they might freeze everything after egg collection. Obviously I was very disappointed. However after giving it some thought i decided if I ended up with quite a few decent frozen embryos but not one put back this time that would be a good outcome because the odds are better on a frozen cycle anyway (according to my nurse). I think frozen cycles are a lot cheaper. Plus it might mean never having to do a fresh cycle again if there were enough decent embryos. Anyway after they altered my meds they decided I wasn’t so overstimulated after all so things might still change. I know it’s rubbish when you’ve worked yourself up to trying this month but i guess you just have to try and see as much positive as is possible. Best of luck for Wednesday!!

Kay2705 · 21/01/2019 18:31

Thanks guys. I'm really hoping for the best. Having to pay for another frozen cycle is a bit of a bummer also :( let's see what happens on Wednesday

Positivity86 · 21/01/2019 19:51

@Vikkid2007 keep the faith! Got my fingers crossed for you and @Rememberallball x

brighteye3986 · 22/01/2019 06:37
