I’m now 6dp5dt and have caved and tested this morning. I wish I’d waited a little longer as the test was £8!

I have been studying the test in different lights and I swear I can see the faiiiiintest second line. Am I just hopeful and imagining it?!

Got a few internet cheapies and a couple of first response didgital tests to tide me over the next few days. Which should I use?!

How people manage not to test throughout the 2ww, I’ll never know. It was never going to be me. 😜

@Elly1685 I feel for you so much!! One thing I don't understand with ivf is that they are so sure after however long it's positive. My sil didn't get her first positive until she was 5 weeks! Maybe the hospital had a dud test not you! I think you should call the clinic and demand a second opinion! Holding out hope for you xxx

@elly1685 Aww Elly you’re not going mad at all. I’d be doing the same. And yes, as Sophie says, my sister in law said the same, she tested for a whole week with actual negatives then a positive at 5 weeks too. I Read a really good blog last night, it gave me so much more insight into the reason we get faint lines, yes can be chemical but also due to the low level beta (American) I’m thinking hormone level, some as little as 15, which then doubled each day.

Iv just tested and well this morning it was a flat negative I’d say, I can’t even see a faint line ☹️ I’m on day 10pt. I’m feeling a bit emosh with it all this morning xx

@elly1685 you need to contact the clinic and request a HCG blood test. Are you in the UK? It’s amazing that they want to stop the mess without being 100% certain.

I know re the false hope and whatnot but pregnant is pregnant and you’ve had quite a few positive tests.

@Elly1685 I am convinced you are pregnant from your results and I would continue to act as though you were. Ignore the clinics view.
You're not done until AF arrived and I don't think its planning to.

What medication did they stop? Was it the progesterone? If so your embryo should be fine without it as most pregnancies progress fine without additional progesterone support.

Keep up with any vitamins etc and keep yourself well nourished and well rested.

If your clinic refuse to be open minded about this you may need to do this without them. You could try your GP for an HCG test, but otherwise I'd keep going as you are on the assumption you are indeed successfully pregnant as that's what numerous tests have told you!

Elly I completely second what the other girls are saying - I'm convinced you're pregnant too. I don't understand why they're not checking your blood or telling you to keep taking your meds as a precaution though - that's really strange.

Loula it's still early but I understand how emotional it is. We're only 10dp5dt so test again in a couple of days? Something I've noticed is that lots of people treat the first cycle as a practice run, where they figure out how much of each drug you need, your body has a bit of a trial run etc. and then on the second go, there's more confidence in what will work.

I'm getting a positive digital now so I'm praying and praying this little bean continues . . . I've done 14 tests in the last few days, I've clearly lost my mind!

Right girls, I’m on a mission now to get my clear blue by Tuesday 🙏🏼 And if not, well back off I go walking the beautiful cobbled streets of Prague until mission is complete ❤️ Xx

I rang my clinic this morning and my consultant. They called me in for a blood test which I’ve just had, they are marking it as urgent and hoping to get the results today although it could be tomorrow. They said if the levels are high enough they’ll
Repeat the test on Monday ...! The nurse this time was much nicer. I told her about the other nurse saying it was a ‘bad batch’ of tests I was using and she couldn’t believe it. She also said it’s fine to get positives this late and it doesn’t mean anything bad that it’s late and if anything it’s a better sign! I just hope that the last few days of emotion and stress and no meds haven’t ruined my chances.

I’ve also been given a few days worth of meds to keep me going until Monday! X

Results are in - beta is 49! Anything over 25 is considered ‘pregant’. Obviously at 17dp5dt this is extremely low.

They are going to repeat the test Monday to see if it has increased. But even if it has, it’s still going to be extremely low. 😞

Elly that's so bittersweet - you must feel relief that you ARE pregnant, but worried about the low levels . . . I don't know anything about what the levels should be, but I hope they take off over the next couple of days and you get a great result on Monday

I feel a bit low today. I did another digital this morning and it was positive, so I was expecting it to have gone up to 2-3 weeks (it was 1-2 on Wednesday). It brought it home to me how precarious a BFP is. I feel a bit emotional and pessimistic, and painfully conscious that this could all come to nothing. And that will be devastating.

@RedPandaFluff when is your otd? And when was your eyes? My digital from this morning says 1-2 weeks otd is Monday. Which is only 14 days post transfer so I am assuming it is right to say 1-2 weeks.

@Elly1685 hope your levels have shot up Monday what a rollercoaster it has been for you :( xx

Sophie OTD is Tuesday, which is 14dp5dt - embryo transfer was Tuesday 4th Sept; so that's reassuring then, if you're only a day earlier but getting the same result. Thank you!

@RedPandaFluff just been researching and lots of people get weeks earlier than they actually are so fingers crossed for us both :)

Yeah, I think this is just my new obsessive worry. I think even if this isn't a chemical pregnancy and it progresses, I'll find something new to fixate on at every stage . . .

Have you told anyone yet, Sophie?

@RedPandaFluff I am the same I have also done 8 fr tests since Thursday so taking the obsession to another level haha luckily all have been positive! I wouldn't even carry the washing down the stairs just incase. I'm hoping that if the pregnancy sticks I will get sickness so at least I will have a daily reminder. Symptoms so far are sleeping more than I'm awake and blue/ extremely sore boobs! Have you had any symptoms?

I told my parents today, and my close friends that know we've had IVF, and we'll tel DH's folks tomorrow.

I've had frequent headaches which is unusual for me, and a really achey lower back - but then, that could just be bad posture rather than ligaments softening etc.!

I keep researching chemical pregnancy statistics too

It has been a massive emotional rollercoaster and no sign of it ending anytime soon!!

At least my clinic now accept that I was getting BFP’s and I wasn’t a crazy lady 🤦‍♀️😂!!!

I will see what happens Monday BUT the nurse wasn’t very optimistic and my friend who is a doctor said it’s extremely low. It’s fine, I’d prefer honesty than being strung along. Watch this space I guess?!

@sophie and @red you’ve both been having consistent BFP’s! I’ve read a lot about cb digital’s showing the wrong weeks so I wouldn’t worry!! I bet it all depends on the time you do it, and the concentration in your urine too (whether you’d drank a lot of liquid the day before) etc! As long as that BFP is there, then you should be happy :) xx

I'm shaking - did another FRER today and the line is getting fainter. FMU on 12dp5dt . . . I'm thinking all the excitement might come to nothing. I'm so upset. I've attached Thursday's test and this morning's.

Maybe your pee is too diluted, Sophie, if you drank lots of water? I didn't drink anything before I went to bed so I don't think mine is.

@RedPandaFluff I have no idea what to do either. So gutted to get that the day before we are due at the clinic my fr test has come up positive and have ready so much negative things about cb digital so really all over the place!! My wee was the first of the day but really clear! Going to hold it as long as I can and not drink too much today and try again
