2ww torture

I’m now 6dp5dt and have caved and tested this morning. I wish I’d waited a little longer as the test was £8!

I have been studying the test in different lights and I swear I can see the faiiiiintest second line. Am I just hopeful and imagining it?!

Got a few internet cheapies and a couple of first response didgital tests to tide me over the next few days. Which should I use?!

How people manage not to test throughout the 2ww, I’ll never know. It was never going to be me. 😜

I'm out - tested again this morning with a FRER, it's not happening for me this cycle :-(

Hi redpandafluff I’m going to try and wait however otd is 10th which is a Monday and not ideal. We have DH’s sister staying over that weekend though so wouldn’t really want to test then either? 5dp5dt is still very early, a couple of cycles back I tested on otd and got a squinter that was practically a negative, my clinic said wait 3 days and 3 days later it was a bfp (day 18) ended up miscarrying but still not a proper positive till day 18

Welcome, @Spongebob79 - yep, waiting is the hardest part. Are you going to wait for OTD or test early?

I caved - BFN at 5dp5dt :-(

Hello, can I join you? I had 2x 2dt yesterday after a slightly disappointing ec monday. 4 eggs collected, 3 mature and 2 fertilised normally (using picsi this time) both embryos transferred were slightly off, one being 2 cell and the other a 5 cell. But the embryologist was putting a positive spin on it. And now we wait, it’s the hardest part. This is my 4th fresh cycle following 4 miscarriages and possibly our last try as my response is getting worse each time.

Hi @LoulaBell30 ! I'm 4dp5dt with similar symptoms to last time (chemical pregnancy) - lower backache, mildly tender boobs. I think I might test in a couple of days. I feel oddly numb, emotionally . . .

@LoulaBell30 we got my bfp. We are very happy but because of what happened last time we are trying to guard ourselves at the same time. My first scan is next Thursday.

How are you?

@LoulaBell30 HELLO! So nice to see a post from you! I'm going to have to google uterine septum as I've not heard of it before, so I don't know what it is and what the implications are. I'm really hoping it's something that can be 'fixed', so to speak - good luck with the HSG.

We just got told today that we have 11 eggs, so it will be the old numbers game over the next few days. Hoping for an embryo transfer on Saturday.

How is everyone else doing?

Hey Ladies, sorry iv been quiet this last couple of months, I hadn’t had email updates so hadnt come on to check updates. Good to hear you’ve all cracked onto next cycles. Wishing all the very best and I’ll be looking out for those positives 🙏🏼

With me, I haven’t planned my second one yet, iv been for more tests here in the UK, turns out I may have a Uterine Septum, basically a separate Uterus, which the Doctors didn’t tell me about after my UK scan in March and nor did Prague tell me, so yeah bit annoyed we’d paid out that money without knowing all this then 😞 iv got a HSG scan to see what’s what on 29th Nov... so who knows about what the next steps will be 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s a strange old worrying time all this fertility stuff xx

Hi ladies

Glad to see this group - I’m in the 2ww too - I’m at 7dp5dt. I haven’t really had any symptoms at all. I sometimes think I might feelings something but it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s in my head. What I did feel today though is cramping - my period isn’t due in a couple of days, and I usually get cramps just before they start, so I’m feeling a little sad. I’ve been tempted to test, but I’m trying to hold off until test day...not sure why!

Any way, good luck to you alll - sending positive vibes!

Thank you. I won't be testing until day 7 now. I am a serial tester and I know that I get upset when it shows negative but I need to have that journey rather than have the ultimate no at the end.

I wish I could remember when I got my positive last time. Anyone felt sick on the cyclogest before? I hate that they mimic early pregnancy signs just makes this rollercoaster even more difficult.

@Emsie1987 - it's still so early! Try not to fret. If you take a look at the stages after embryo transfer, you'll see that only at around 7 days past a 5 day transfer, will there be a smidge of hCG to detect:

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.conceptfertility.co.uk/2017/05/31/what-happens-after-an-embryo-transfer/amp/

I tested at 7dp5dt and the line was so so faint. It's only slightly darker now at 11dp5dt. I know it's hard as I'm a serial POASer, but try to not test for a few days. At least until you are 7 or 8dp5dt. x

@RedPandaFluff - it’s still there. And still faint. My afternoon lines are always stronger so may test again later. They’ve gotten a little darker since the first test, but not massively so. X

My clinic said we could transfer two I think they even had the option for three on the form.

I think it should be the couples choice but I think the decision needs to come from their heads rather than their hearts. Which is a really difficult to do.

Langpants · 10/11/2018 09:09

@fingers thank you. I would definitely push for 2. At the end of the day, it should be your decision. Good luck - looking forward to seeing your positive posts. Xx

Gosh I'm sorry to hear you've been through that @Langpants My clinic will only transfer one 5 day embie, might push for two next cycle if we get that far! Can't help but wonder if the other one may have implanted. Best of luck for the rest of your TWW and I hope you gave a happy and healthy 9months xx

@fingers This is my second round with frozen. I had breast cancer so did egg collection before chemo. Fast forward 2 years and here I am. I have two 5day embryos in at the mo and just one left in the freezer. If this doesn’t work, I think we will try naturally for a few months before doing it all over again. I need to get back on the cancer drugs soon though so it doesn’t come back.

You still have time so don’t lose hope yet. Some people get bfps 11-13 days post transfer. Xx

Yeah we're 10dp5dt @Langpants, there's time for things to change but I know some places test at 9dp so I doubt it.

Is this your first cycle? How many eggs/embryos etc did you get? Did you get to day 5? Xxx
