I’m now 6dp5dt and have caved and tested this morning. I wish I’d waited a little longer as the test was £8!

I have been studying the test in different lights and I swear I can see the faiiiiintest second line. Am I just hopeful and imagining it?!

Got a few internet cheapies and a couple of first response didgital tests to tide me over the next few days. Which should I use?!

How people manage not to test throughout the 2ww, I’ll never know. It was never going to be me. 😜

I just wish I knew why I was getting bfp’s on all these tests. They never suggested why it was happening - just said it was a ‘bad batch of tests’?! Makes no sense

@Elly1685 what a horrible time you've had being on edge like that. So sorry to hear what they've now said.

I really don't understand it either. There looks like at least three different types of tests you've used, all showing a line, so no idea how they think it's a dodgy batch...

Did they do a HCG test for you and give a numeric result? I would have thought two of those a few days apart would have been needed to give you a definitive answer - either the level is going up, or going down.

All my best wishes and to other BFNs for your next steps. I'm on IVF4 so will hopefully be on a 2ww thread in October. Maybe see some of you there.

@botanica - yes I did use 3 different types of test!! It’s so crazy!

my clinic said that they don’t do bloods because they are ‘not reliable’ so they did a urine sample which they said is 98% reliable and that’s what they are going with. I am not too happy with their response to be honest and although I accept the bfn - it’s their explanation of the repeated bfp’s that I’m struggling to accept. I am going to try and contact my consultant tomorrow for reassurance or some kind of answer.

Hey @elly1685 I agree, that does sound a bit off for them to say dodgy batch.. I would definitely get a second opinion. Our clinic in Prague gave us 2 tests to do, the first date to test on 14pt and then also a second for 16pt. Just in case. It’s so hard, hang on in there xx

I haven’t had any pain or cramps since the weekend, but iv woke up with really bad period pains which has worried me as this would be the normal with my period due this Sunday ☹️ Iv had a really faint line yesterday but not counting that now as anything can happen, and these period pains do not seem good xx

Loula are you on progesterone/utrogestan? You won't get your period until you come off that (if you're not pregnant) so any stretching/cramping you're feeling right now won't be period-related

@loula, thanks! I’m 16dp5dt today and I already feel like they’ve written me off by not giving me any more meds. I’m ringing my consultant later. I just felt like they should have said ‘take meds for another few days and test’ but they didn’t. So I’m guessing without the meds my AF will appear soon :(

I also had af type cramps all of last week and read this is a good sign!

@sophieb13 This is great news! Have you ever had a BFP before? I had a BFN yesterday and wouldn’t allow myself test again today so this gives me a glimmer of hope

@elly1685 I would definitely agree with getting some clarity from the doctor! My scans were all messed up last month because a nurse made a mistake with my dates. When the doctor arrived he was baffled and couldn’t explain her mistake!

Oh ladies I am going MAD please please give me some words of advice. I tested one last time with a digital this morning and LOOK!!!! No denying those words. I’m 17dp5dt today (but I did have it transferred at 5pm) so technically 16 and a half dp5dt

Is it really possibly this late?!
