I’m now 6dp5dt and have caved and tested this morning. I wish I’d waited a little longer as the test was £8!

I have been studying the test in different lights and I swear I can see the faiiiiintest second line. Am I just hopeful and imagining it?!

Got a few internet cheapies and a couple of first response didgital tests to tide me over the next few days. Which should I use?!

How people manage not to test throughout the 2ww, I’ll never know. It was never going to be me. 😜

You’re completely right,
It does just evolve. I’m terrified of seeing blood when I go to the toilet and every cramp sets me on edge! X

Hey ladies,

Not sure if anyone is still on this group now - I went for my scan yesterday and sadly the pregnancy is ectopic. It was a big shock as my HCG has been rising consistently. There was mention of surgery yesterday but they’ve settled on medication which they’ll give me today to end the pregnancy.

I feel so empty and sad.

The hardest thing is that I can’t try for at least three months after this medication :( x

@Elly1685 - I'm so sorry to hear this! This is awful news. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. Sending you lots of hugs. Hope you've got lots of love and support around you right now. Xxx

Oh Elly! That's devastating! I'm so, so sorry - I can't imagine how upset you are right now. This whole process is so painful and even more difficult when you have hope only to have it snatched away again.

I hope you're okay physically, and although it will be hard to see right now, there IS a positive here - your little embryo started developing and doing all the right things, just in the wrong place. Let your body heal and recover for the three months and be in the best shape to try again x

@Elly1685 I am so so sorry to hear this, and I am sending you lots of strength and courage for the coming days, weeks and months.
It's just so bloody unfair to have it snatched away from you.

Thinking of you Thanks

Hi ladies - I'll be starting my next donor egg IVF cycle in the next few days, just wondered if any other ladies are trying again?

@LoulaBell30 - did you go with CARE in the end? I'm with CARE Manchester this time.

Hi @RedPandaFluff we’re still trying! Switched from Clomid to another drug called tamoxifen this month. CD6 at the moment. Going to take a break for Christmas after 15 months of trying! Best of luck with your new cycle. What cycle number is this for you?

Report
RedPandaFluff · 31/10/2018 18:16

Hi Cardi Grin Good luck with the tamoxifen - if it works, what a lovely Christmas present!

This is my third cycle of IVF, and I'd love it to be third time lucky. I'm not massively optimistic though as we're egg-sharing, so we'll only get half the eggs that are produced. Hugely lessens our chances Sad

@Elly1685 - I'm so so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine what you're going through right now. It's taken so much for you to get to this point. It's not fair. Sending you lots of virtual hugs. Thinking of you. Xxx

Hi @Langpants Oooo 5dp5dt?! Have you tested yet? Are you planning to test earlier than OTD?

I'm on day 6 of the process, having a scan on Saturday to check endometrial thickness. I don't think it's going to be anywhere near thick enough - in spite of my protestations they've put me on a low dose of oestrogen

@langpants fingers crossed that this is your time 🤞🏻

I’m doing much better now thanks ladies. Had a rough few weeks of blood tests and waiting for hcg to drop. Emotionally I was feeling better and have a date to start my next cycle which is 28th December.

last night my best friend who I’ve told everything to about ivf told me she was 8 weeks pregnant. She’s told me early so it’s not a big announcement at 12 weeks which I really appreciate but it’s absoluteky killed me. I’m trying so hard to be happy for her but i just feel so sad. She’s been off the pill since August. This will be her second baby. Her first is already 2. We started trying around the same time.

It doesn’t help that DH is working away at the moment so I’m home alone and feeling pretty rubbish, and my only other person i talk to about this is my friend. So I can’t really tell her how I’m feeling. Thing is, I KNoW it’s selfish of me to feel sad about this and I know everyone’s different. But it’s just so hard 😞

Sorry for the moany post so early on, I just feel like I’ve got no one else to tell at the moment x

Aw @Elly. Moan away. I totally get this. I’m
Surrounded by babies at the mo - and pregnant friends who are on second pregnancies. It just doesn’t seem fair. I’m wishing you all the best for this next round. Looking forward to hearing positive news. Xxx

That's deffo a line, big congratulations!!! What day are you on?

I'm 10dp5dt and haven't tested yet. Had pains and started spotting yesterday. My test day is Monday but I'm waiting until weekend to do an early test xxx

@Langpants that's definitely a line! Ooooooo stick stick stick little bean . . . will you be testing twice a day every day from this point on?

@Elly1685 you've been through such a rough time. I'm feeling a bit down at the moment too so you're not alone, even though it does feel quite isolating. My sister's second baby is due five weeks before I would have been if my chemical pregnancy had worked out so it's a constant reminder - we were so excited to be pregnant at the same time! And both my close friends are due babies in the next few weeks and I'll have to do more baby gift shopping . . . it's really bloody hard.

And it's really hard work pretending you're fine all the time

@FingersXssd83 You have the patience of a saint. I tested at 5dp5dt

Thank you @RedPandaFluff and @FingersXssd83 - I'm on day 7p5dt today. And probably will tear twice a day now. 😂🙈

@FingersXssd83 - well done for holding back! You have more willpower than me. I've had no spotting, but I know that's a good sign to have it. X

Hi ladies

Hope it's okay if I join. I'm in the the dreaded 2ww.

Currently 2dpo5dt from a natural fet cycle. I had my first ivf cycle in April which ended in a mmc at 11 weeks. Really hope this works so I can say I'm pregnant in time for when I was supposed to be due.

Yeah we're 10dp5dt @Langpants, there's time for things to change but I know some places test at 9dp so I doubt it.

Is this your first cycle? How many eggs/embryos etc did you get? Did you get to day 5? Xxx

Report
Langpants · 08/11/2018 19:54

@fingers This is my second round with frozen. I had breast cancer so did egg collection before chemo. Fast forward 2 years and here I am. I have two 5day embryos in at the mo and just one left in the freezer. If this doesn’t work, I think we will try naturally for a few months before doing it all over again. I need to get back on the cancer drugs soon though so it doesn’t come back.

You still have time so don’t lose hope yet. Some people get bfps 11-13 days post transfer. Xx
