I’m now 6dp5dt and have caved and tested this morning. I wish I’d waited a little longer as the test was £8!

I have been studying the test in different lights and I swear I can see the faiiiiintest second line. Am I just hopeful and imagining it?!

Got a few internet cheapies and a couple of first response didgital tests to tide me over the next few days. Which should I use?!

How people manage not to test throughout the 2ww, I’ll never know. It was never going to be me. 😜

@Elly1685 that's a line!

@mel
I just tested again with fmu. Frer line was just as light and CB digital said not pregnant. Today is OTD and clinic asked me to test with cb digital. I’m guessing that’s because they think by this point I should be getting a bfp on a digital test. Which makes me think I’m out...

Thank you @mel - next one planned in already. I’ll be starting another thread early Nov. 😊🤞🏻X

Sorry I haven’t replied to you all lately! I’ve calmed down a bit now. Still in limbo about whether I’ve got a bfp or not...🤦‍♀️

@Langpants - November will soon be here! You have a short amount of time to prepare yourself and get ready to start again! 🤞🏻 Something to look forward to! X

@Sophie - that must have been a horrible letter to receive. But you know what, you did the injections and egg collection once, you can definitely do it again and you’ll probably find your much stronger this time as you know what to expect. HOWEVER lots of positive thoughts for your test on the 17th!!! Hopefully you won’t need to go through it all again 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@redpanda thanks for your message -
Sorry I’ve just seen your posts - try not to worry about the lifting of your case. You can’t change it now and there’s no point worrying! Just get plenty of rest and I’m sure you’ll be fine!! When is your OTD? X

@mel how are you doing ? X

Elly I read somewhere that CB digitals are nowhere near as sensitive as FRERs so I guess it's a case of trying again in a couple of days?

OTD is Tuesday 18th but I can't see myself holding out that long . . . I'll probably test 9dp5dt, which is Thurday. I'd rather realise gradually that it hasn't worked rather than the cataclysmic disappointment of last time.

Has anyone ever got to 8dpt or 9dpt and still got a bfp?

Elly1685 · 09/09/2018 08:55

@red I tried a clear blue digital early today and a early clear blue non digital - the non digital had a faint line within the 3 minutes and the digital said ‘not pregnant’. I checked and they both measure the same about of hcg levels.

I think I need to face facts that at 12dp5dt this should be clearly positive by now if it has worked, and it’s not. I think I’ve probably had a chemical pregnancy and the tests are picking up the tail end of the hcg.

Thursday isn’t long for you to wait! It will soon be here x

@mel, sorry I’ve never tested that early

Elly that's so confusing Sad Have you been in touch with your clinic?

Report
Elly1685 · 09/09/2018 10:28

Yeah I spoke to a nurse yesterday and she said ‘generally clear blue are reliable’ but this was before I got a faint positive on a clear blue - yesterday it was negative. But I think the clear blue I did yesterday was less sensitive?
I think I’ve confused myself more than anything! 🤦‍♀️

I'm 9dp6dt and getting negatives and "not pregnant" on clear blue. OFT is Tuesday. No sign of AF yet and was due yesterday. I'm feeling low.

I'd love nothing more than a vodka and Diet Coke and a break.

Sorry to be so negative, just not coping as well as I thought. Resenting my partner and we get married in 6 days :/ also this tww killed off our sex life. Feeling sorry for my self

Mel, it’s still really early days. I’ve seen posts where people have got bfn at 9 days and positive at 10!!

How exciting that you are getting married!!! Is it a big white wedding or a smaller affair? I’m sure your wedding will be a special day! Try and plan some lovely things this week with your partner - cinema trip, a romantic meal home cooked/out with them. Something to take your mind off it xx

@Elly1685 thanks! Really small affair, we planned it in 7 weeks haha. Kind of hard to be excited, I really am praying for it BFP xx

I’m praying it’s a BFP for you too! It would be a magical wedding secret if it is xx

I really want to test tomorrow. I'll be 6dp5dt. Should I? Or is this the road to madness?

I held out to 14dp5dt last time on the instructions of the clinic, and it was cataclysmic devastation. Maybe gradual bad news would be better?

So it's Sunday and I don't have anything else to do so I tested - I know, I know . . . but I'm getting this.

I THINK I CAN SEE A LINE.

LoulaBell30 hello there! I'm so pleased you've joined us Grin

Yes, I didn't sleep a wink last night because all I wanted was for it to be morning so I could test again! I was hoping for a stronger line with FMU but it's not; so I'm not getting too excited. But I have hope instead of despair and I'll take that any day of the week!

How are you? Have you been all virtuous and strong and managed to resist testing? How have you been feeling?

Hi All

Hope you don’t mind me joining in now. I’m the same as RedPandaFluff, we were at the same clinic, Embyro transferred the same day. So I’m 6 dpt. I haven’t tested yet, this is my first round so trying to hang it out as long as I can, but now seeing your feeds I might test a little early to prepare myself gradually.
Systems the same, right side cramping, period pains in the night. Extreme tiredness, iv been going to bed at 7pm, and I have a cold, sore throat. So overall.. yes just IVF fabulous 🤣 All Iv read is the norm either way, so I’m just going through the motions hoping that this week will go by fast x

@RedPandaFluff I know I found you. Thank you for recommending, made me feel a bit at ease knowing we’re all going through the same. I too lifted my case 🙈 but I’m sure that would be ok. Can’t wait till you get your dark clear line 🙏🏼 I’m really going to try to hold out till the end of this week but god knows if I’ll manage 😬 x

Welcome @loulabell! Best of luck on your journey.

So I’m still here in limbo.... 13dp5dt and has another faint positive this morning. I know it should be darker. Clear blue digital says ‘not pregnant’ I should ring the clinic too but I don’t want to ...!

Arh thank you @elly1685 and they are definite faint lines, so there’s definite hope there 🙏🏼 Let us know if the clinic recommend a different brand PT, iv seen quite a lot that the first response one is very good. Best of luck x

@Elly1685 that sure does look like a positive to me!!

@LoulaBell30 I'm not sure, I don't want to be an absolute state at the clinic if it's negative :/
