Hey,

I've had my appointment through finally to start my first round of IVF. Our consultation is September and hoping if we start on CD21 (no idea if we will, just what I'm presuming from research) then we will be good to start just after the middle of the month. Anyone else the tentatively waiting for a September start?

@tryingtobemum that’s a great number. That’s how many I had collected. Are you having ICSI? Put your feet up and rest. Look forward to hearing your news on the morning.

@crittertamer thanks so much for sharing those scans. They’re just magical 😍😍😍

Trying2bemum · 31/10/2018 14:06

Wow amazing pictures critter 💗

Thanks peanut yes we're having ICSI xx

FingersXssd83 · 31/10/2018 17:17

Awh @CritterTamer those images are lovely and you've given me hope that IVF can work after a few miserable days. I'm on TWW for our first cycle, we had two embies on day 5 they implanted one and the other wasn't good enough to freeze on day 6. Really wish they'd have popped two in. I'd love twins. Massive congrats! Xx

Finally got a call from clinic - hcg came back at 67mIU - the nurse couldn’t really comment and said she’d pass on my note to the doc to call back and discuss. Still waiting for the call but I’m sure they have shut shop and go home.

Absolutely shit “care” from Care Fertility.

Peanut1980 · 31/10/2018 20:01

@dia12 that’s still a good number. My clinic said anything over 5 is a positive. So I’m guessing they’ll want you back in for another blood test in a couple of days to make sure it’s increasing? Mine was 120 to start and then 440 a couple of days later. I know it’s soooo hard when you don’t get a strong result but please hang in there 😘😘😘

CritterTamer · 31/10/2018 21:53

@Dia12 I’m sorry your clinic are being so unhelpful - it really doesn’t sound very caring to keep you waiting all day, then have someone call you who couldn’t discuss the result, and then not bother to call you back! I really hope you get some answers soon but 67 is a definite positive and I’ve read lots of stories of ‘slow starters’ that turned out just fine so keep the faith for a while longer 😊 Have they booked you in for a follow up blood test?

Dia12 · 31/10/2018 22:21

Oh guys it’s been such a horrid day - I’ve had a full on bleed and also passed a decidual cast (almost the entire endometrial lining) which was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. So my story comes to an end here. Not sure what to do next except for giving my body and mind a break for a while.

I wish you all the very best in your individual journeys - you have provided so much support and reassurance during the most challenging time of my life - thank you.

Trying2bemum · 31/10/2018 22:26

Oh dia I'm so sorry, that sounds really scary. I hope you are being very well looked after. So sorry your cycle has ended like this. Take good care of yourself x x x

ginandtonicformeplease · 31/10/2018 22:45

@dia I'm so sorry to hear that - I've been keeping up with the thread from afar - and I'm so sorry to hear that.

Peanut1980 · 31/10/2018 22:50

@dia12 oh I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m sending you my love and strength to support you xxxxxxxx

CritterTamer · 01/11/2018 06:30

Oh @Dia12 I’m so sorry, and that sounds so traumatic. There are no words that will help right now I know but I hope you and DH are taking care of yourselves. I really hope that after some time you will be able to decide on your way forward, whatever that might be, and truly wish you all the luck in the world with it xxx

Dia12 · 01/11/2018 06:59

Thank you all for the lovely wishes.

LopeyLopez · 01/11/2018 07:43

So so sorry @Dia12 that's horrible. Hope you and DH are looking after each other. Take time to heal and decide what to do next. All the best whatever you decide xxx

@CritterTamer thanks for the interesting scan photos, and descriptions! Not seen what early twins look like before - very cool x

Trying2bemum · 01/11/2018 09:32

Of 11 eggs, 7 were mature and 6 have fertilised. So we've got 6 embryos to cheer on. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I think maybe I should be on the October November thread but never mind...

ParksAndRecreation · 01/11/2018 10:05

@Dia12 - I’m gutted for you. What an awful thing to happen. I’m so sorry. Must have been absolutely terrifying for you. Sending you love and support.

PinkFootedGoose · 01/11/2018 12:29

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Dia12, how heartbreaking. Hoping you're feeling a little physically better today. x

CritterTamer · 01/11/2018 14:55

@Trying2bemum - congrats on your 6 embryos 😊 fingers crossed they all make it to day 5 for you 🤞

Peanut1980 · 01/11/2018 15:58

@tryingtobemum that’s great news well done. How are you feeling? I was quite sore for a couple of days after my egg collection. Hope you’re well and finishing some time to put your feet up. So are you booked in on Monday for a transfer? COME ON EMBIES!!! 🙏🤞🙏🤞

Trying2bemum · 01/11/2018 18:30

Thanks girls xx feeling pretty sore and more bloated today than yesterday. Think am gonna work from home tomorrow, can't face the train feeling like this.

If they are looking good tomorrow then I reckon they'll push for day five transfer Monday.

I feel pretty anxious if I'm honest - it's our third cycle and we've never had a bfn xx

Trying2bemum · 01/11/2018 18:33

I mean we've never had a BFP!!

Trying2bemum · 01/11/2018 18:33

I mean we've never had a BFP!!

Peanut1980 · 01/11/2018 19:27

I pray this is your cycle for a BFP @tryingtobemum. Look after yourself and drink lots and lots of water (or squash in my case as I don’t really like water!) xx

ParksAndRecreation · 01/11/2018 19:47

Fingers crossed for you @tryingtobemum

LopeyLopez · 01/11/2018 20:12

Welcome to the tww @Trying2bemum . Everything crossed this is it for you. I'm on second cycle and I can imagine it only gets more difficult and desperate with each one.... best of luck 🍀

Trying2bemum · 01/11/2018 20:26

Thanks girls x x it definitely gets harder the longer this goes on x
