@HJ82 be careful with those vials! There's a contraption that you can clip on to the top of the vial that helps you to open it without shredding your fingers! Ask your clinic if they have any. Otherwise grab a bit of gauze and apply pressure at the line. I'm gonna do some exercise tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday just to get it out of my system. I'm addicted!

@happyhedgehog so glad downreg finally coming to end. Stims hopefully from tomorrow. Not overly enthusiastic about having a scan during my period! Bleugh. But hoping it's okay and that I can finally start! What day off stims are you?

Hey all..

Lots going on as usual. Just did my egg collection and since and my DH condition is very bad in terms of quality we went from

11 follies to 9 eggs and only 4 ok eggs which are granular (don;t know what that means). But DH sperm bad quality as well so we have 3 embryo but not sure where we going to be at Day 5. We have been advised for FET with chromosomal testing..

If this cycle fails.. not sure there is any point in doing further IVF on the basis that the quality of our egg and sperm will probably not improve as I hit 39 and DH is 38..

Should have told our RE not give us any news until Day 5.. instead of dwelling on it..

@tikha don’t give up just yet. You have embryos this cycle, fx one of them will make it! How many times you tried IVF? There are also sperm/egg/embryo donation option if things get really desperate. Otherwise you still have a chance, people get pregnant in their 40s xxx

@Viletta Thank you for your kind words. Its actually my first cycle but its underlying causes that has me worried..

It was a positive! In total shock. My DH phoned while I wasn’t there. Then came and told me, and I didn’t even believe him at first.

Had my baseline scan today and got the go ahead to start stimms on Sunday night.

@behere that's bloody fantastic now let's see if it is a girl. I had another faint positive this morning but it's a one step test and the reviews on Amazon say about false positives so I'm going to try a FRER on Sun and then hopefully a digital on Wed depending on the result. I know I should be more patient but I can't be I'm to nosey

@tikha , don't worry I am also 38 and dh has shit sperm. We only got 7 eggs ( so less than you....) and only 3 embryos. Out of those two were no good; only one made it til day five and didn't reach the stage it should have. I still had a transfer. Don't lose hope, you have done well so far.

We had our ec this morning. Been dozing all afternoon. We got 6 so find out 10am tomorrow how we are developing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Gavinmaxine1 I was uncomfortable the first time. Try drinking lots of water... do you like hot water and lemon? That could help.

@HJ82 @Beherenow32 thanks girls.. peppermint tea seemed to help .. thankfully not as bad, was just wondering if was normal as didn't have it last time but I wasn't fully sedated that time. My hubby said when I came round I thought I was going to work! 😭 I can't remember lol
