BFP after IVF: any other nervous ladies in need of a handhold?

I've had my BFP after our first FET and in a bit of a state analysing symptoms/lack of symptoms. Had two losses prior to starting IVF so really can't get my head round what might be normal or not. Clinic will scan me at six weeks, but that is two very long weeks away! Anyone else in a similar position? xxx

Iv had pains in my left side lately like a sharp pain but not too bad it's worrying me a little I'm petrified of an eptopic pregnancy so keeping a very close eye on any symptoms. Not sure if twinges like this are normal so was wondering if anyone else has them?

Can't really help with the left side twinges as mine seem to be twinges up my bum tonight 🤔 however when I had my scan she mentioned I had some follicles on my right ovary so might feel some twinges because of that so may be you've follicles on your left ovary.

My left ovary was the one that worked the hardest during ivf so yes you're right it's probably just that. I can relax, watch tv, sleep and I'm not in real pain just twinges so unless something dramatic happens I'm guessing I'm ok. It's just so hard waiting around isn't it? Hope your twinges ease also!

They aren't to bad and I'm sure it's just cyclogest pessary and toilet trouble related just another glamorous side to IVF

We don't have it easy really us ivf's at least we all can relate to each other!

I haven’t been getting any pains recently, but have heard that it’s normal. I was getting shooting pains below a couple of weeks ago, but it’s stopped. I just feel sick, tired all the time. (Happy tho obv lol).

@Itonlytakesone you must be wanting your scan so bad. How many weeks are you now?

@Beherenow32 @Itonlytakesone I'm very glad to be home! Although when I got home last night the PILs were already here for a long weekend- I usually cope with MIL by drinking copious amounts of gin, so it'll be interesting to see if I can manage 3 days stone cold sober 

I had acupuncture yesterday evening before I left London, and it really does relax me. Last week when I was suffering really badly from constipation she gave me a needle to ease it and I've been fine ever since, yesterday she did the treatment to help growth and uterine blood flow, so I'm hopeful. I've no idea whether there's any scientific basis for it, but I'm putting my faith in it!

@Itonlytakesone I've had some twinges every now and then, the clinic said they're to be expected and nothing to worry about.

And I've no idea why that all went bold!

I will be 8 weeks on Wednesday / Thursday i stimulated for an extra day so wasn't sure whether to work Edd out off last period or count back from egg collection it's a day out 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I'm sure some pains are ok i just don't want any...although I'd probably worry even then, you can't win. Is the scan I'm going to a full or an empty bladder one? (Please be an empty 😫)

In the most part I feel fine a bit quesy here and there and my appetite is a bit hit and miss. I also like to be in bed no later than 9pm and keep waking for a wee through the night but other than that everything is as usual. I had my booking in appt yesterday so now have a little notes folder set up and apparently I'll be consultant led as it's IVF but I'm not really sure what that will entail.

@Itonlytakesone you’re just a few days different to us then! Empty bladder for an internal scan ☺️ I went to the toilet right before the scan, but bladder filled up already by the time I got in! Lol the hospital told me my due date when I was last there after the scan.

@TheArtfulScreamer oh really? I thought we were just treated like any other pregnant woman now! My app is on Monday.

Thinking about telling a few more friends today... so many people know! But everyone knew we were going for through ivf.. so seemed the right thing to tell them. X

Oh that's good news about the empty bladder, embryo transfer was a nightmare i was so uncomfortable, although i was frozen to the bed petrified of ruining it!😂.

Yes I'm very close to you guys in weeks, a little behind only by days.Just want my scan!

Glad you are doing ok and doing acupuncture keep thinking positive, you're embryo will be doing just fine!

Iv not told any of my friends/family about anything, wanting a baby, ivf or the fact that I'm pregnant 😳and considering i get married in only 4 months let's just say it's going to be a little bit of a shock!🤷🏼‍♀️

When she mentioned consultant led she said maybe some extra appts and scans and the fact they likely wouldn't let me go to much over EDD but I half expect that this will change and unless there's something else going on I'll revert to standard care.

Loads of people know with me. One person at my work actually guessed! And I couldn’t lie about it 🙊

I'm excited to tell people although I'll have to wait until 12 weeks i think (if i get that far) one step at a time though and need my scan first on Wednesday before anything else 😑still can't get excited just yet but we've all come a long way to even get this far I'm so grateful

First midwife appointment tomorrow 😯 it’s getting real! Still want another scan to double check tho 😂

I survived the weekend with PILs - neither of them suspects

Oops, meant to start a new paragraph but posted instead!

I woke up this morning feeling rather sick, not sure if it's the start of morning sickness or something else. Also feeling exhausted today.

I've been trying to put the second scan out of my head - it's on Tuesday and I'm really worried. DH says it's nothing to worry about, but the man never worries about anything!

Oh i wondered what you meant when you said pils! The 'in laws'😂 yes alcohol will certainly have helped but oh dear none of that for you! Iv had two family meals out with in laws this weekend ordering black currant sodas where i would always get prosecco! No one battered an eyelid luckily.

Tuesday is so soon for that second scan i really hope it's all good for you, you dh is right it will be fine 😊

Are you waiting until 12 week scan to tell your parents too? Feel like I’m weird for telling people already.. couldn’t imagine them not knowing tho.

Was out for a meal with family last night, and could barely eat anything. Just felt so sick.

No won't wait that long. If I'd have had a scan yet I'd probably have told a few people but Iv not seem how everything is yet so can't yet. Tell people if you want to it's a big secret to keep and an exciting one.

Iv decided i can't eat too much in one go after this weekend, No more over indulging. Felt too full, bloated ect need to start walking more and exercising a little, feeling pretty lousy lately 😑

@Beherenow32 @Itonlytakesone we'll tell my parents at the 12 week mark. DH has told his best friend but I haven't told anyone. Neither of us are sharers at the best of times.

My DM knew that we were going through ivf (and had told my dad, but we've never spoken of it, he's supportive from afar ) but after I was quite ill after EC I told her we were taking a break before FET and just never told her we'd done the transfer.

Dh's mother is rather more complicated. DH wants to leave it and just put a photo in her birthday card - in November - she's hard work and is inclined to put everything on Facebook. She brings quite a bit of drama with her and I'm glad we live quite a way away! At the same time, I think she'd be incredibly hurt not to be told until November, but ultimately it's up to DH.
