BFP after IVF: any other nervous ladies in need of a handhold?

I've had my BFP after our first FET and in a bit of a state analysing symptoms/lack of symptoms. Had two losses prior to starting IVF so really can't get my head round what might be normal or not. Clinic will scan me at six weeks, but that is two very long weeks away! Anyone else in a similar position? xxx

@itonlytakesone I’ve just had my OH hide my last test, he’s away for work from tomorrow and I think he’s pleased to see the back of me 😂 this weekend has been a rollercoaster, we were elated on Friday and I’ve just made us freak out ever since from comparing test photos in Instagram. I’ve spent a small fortune on first response 😭

Ahh thanks, I’ll have to try keep my mind busy tomorrow and just chill out. It’s nothing but worry!!! Fingers crossed for your scan!! 🙏🏼

A lines a line no matter how faint or dark, there to many variables such as what you've had to drink, when you last peed, the speed your kidneys are working at, how much dye is in the test, what kind of test etc for colour to really matter. You've got your BFP now come and join the rest of us crazy anxious fools

@ICSIWannabeMama I can’t give any advice... haven’t done a home pregnancy test (yet!). When is your OTD? I think all those positives is a good sign though! 😊

Have such a funny feeling in my stomach, but I think it’s because I want to feel sick- that I am. Ha ha! Xx

@ICSIWannabeMama Welcome to the club! As far as I'm aware a positive is a positive, there's no in between. I was so convinced that mine was going to be negative that I'd gone out and bought some tampax expecting AF! Hopefully won't need them for a while now

Suffering pretty badly from constipation. I just hope this doesn't last the whole time

@ICSIWannabeMama it's weird, because you think doing more tests is reassuring, but the opposite is probably through. You'll probably feel a bit better when you put the tests to one side.

You're pregnant right now, that's all the tests can tell you - not that you'll get a baby or have a smooth pregnancy, which is the only thing any of us want... but a piece of plastic can't tell us that.

Chin up - the tests say you're still in with a chance!! And a chance is better than any of us have had in this miserable journey...

@physicskate thank you! You’re the voice of reason ☺️ I’m so used to it being bad news I’m panicking that it’s more. I’m going to try be calm and remember that right now I am pregnant!! Hopefully it sticks!!!

I only worked 5 hours today, and I struggled! Sooo tired! Also, noticed that I don’t start feeling hungry- just straight away feel sick.
Not much else going on really except struggling with the heat!

Iv felt rubbish today so tired 😑 bloated and gassy feel so lethargic. The odd cramp nothing major and oh yes got some lovely nausea today, still at least it makes me feel like I'm still pregnant! Comes to something when you don't mind feeling nauseous 😂

I'm absolutely exhausted. Woke up at 5.30am feeling really sick and haven't felt well at all today. I'm now lying on the sofa wondering whether I even have the energy to move and get into my pjs.

Yay! We’re starting to feel sick! 🤗🤗 mines isn’t so bad, unless I need to eat. And I wake up at 2am feeling reeeally sick.

Don't be scared. You would certainly know if All wasn't ok, your body would tell you. I'm not very nauseous either it's rare i feel sick so i know how you feel. Not sure how you've not done a single test though! Not long until Friday how many weeks will you be on Friday? I'm almost 6! Still grateful of every single day ...

@Itonlytakesone I will be 7 weeks on Friday. So, 6+4 today.
Really wish I took Friday off work. I’m due to go in the afternoon.
I don’t want to stress, but keep imaging the worst. I just really think I would be sick by now. (My Mum had really bad sickness).

Hi Beherenow32 I am 10+6 today and have not been sick! Similarly to you, I am concerned, but perhaps we are the lucky ones. As Itonlytakesone said surely our bodies would let us know if something wasn't right?
First midwife appointment tomorrow and hopefully a scan soon to ease my mind. Wishing you all the best for Friday. Hang on in there! x

@Yorkshirelass27 thank you! Tbh, I think I could also be majorly hormonal and having mood swings. I have quite a sore stomach today, although not sick. But that’s ok.

I've felt fine today, no nausea at all. Very tired though, already in my pjs watching midsomer murders!

I'm 5+6, a week tomorrow is my first scan at the clinic. I'm wondering whether to ask them about progesterone injections - I'm on 6 pessaries a day and I just can't do it for much longer. I also have thrush but apparently have to wait until second trimester before can use a cream. I don't think it's helped by having pessaries shoved up there.

I also saw my neurologist today and he's referring me into his colleague who specialises in epilepsy and pregnancy to see if there are any ways of minimising the risks any more. I just feel really lucky that I can afford to go and see experts.

@ginandtonicformeplease hope you get some answers/ guidance regarding the progesterone. An injection would get things over in one shot. Hopefully more comfortable for you. And also with your epilepsy.

Are you feeling ok just now? How is it with the 6 pesseries? ☹️

I am calmer tonight. Feel guilty for going on and on about this! Really hope it’s hormones and now me being crazy!

@ginandtonicformeplease I forgot you were still on your pessaries me and @Beherenow32 have been off them since test day. The fear of having a period having stopped them has at least passed by now. Do you have to insert up there? Can you not insert them the other way?💩🙊i mean you're having bad side effects! Do you have epilepsy? Hope you get seen quickly. Iv felt fine also today, funny how it varies so much day to day? Sore armpits though 🙄I'm blaming pregnancy 🤰

@Beherenow32 @Itonlytakesone For fear of TMI, I have to insert two three times a day so both front and back are sore! The main side effect has been constipation - prunes are doing nothing

Yes, I have epilepsy. Prior to TTC it was well-controlled, but back then I was on 5 different drugs (apparently I'm a tough case). They've cut me down to three - got rid of the two potentially most harmful to a baby - but there's still a lot of risks to me and to the baby. We couldn't start TTC for a year after we'd decided to while my drugs got settled, and of course we never thought it would take us so long. My epilepsy isn't as well controlled anymore but it's a small price to pay

Neurology is yet another area which is severely under-resourced, let alone obstetric neurology. Major cities only. I live in the sticks.

@ginandtonicformeplease I'm sorry you have such a bad time with your epilepsy hopefully the new specialist can help you with it more but at least you are pregnant now!

Constipation is common because the body naturally slows digestion down in pregnancy so that the baby has time to take the nutrients it needs from foods you are eating so I'm wary of taking anything and leave my body to it but make an effort to get lots of good food inside me (even though it's hard I'm not too hungry) and drinking 3ltrs per day which i think helps.

While i was on my pessaries i took Fybogel sachets as they are 'natural' and fine in pregnancy to relieve constipation. You can buy them in boots/ all chemists @ginandtonicformeplease

Had to go to be at 7:30 till 7:20 last night. Was so ill after the heat! (And 10 hour working day) tbh, don’t think I drank or ate enough.

I'm feeling scared and petrified today the constant worry of miscarriage is getting me down 😔 I have lower back pain, it's not too bad but it's there & it's worrying me. I'm only 6 weeks today 2 weeks until my scan. Feeling worried 😟

I'm booked in with the midwife!! Call your GP and do the same...
