BFP after IVF: any other nervous ladies in need of a handhold?

I've had my BFP after our first FET and in a bit of a state analysing symptoms/lack of symptoms. Had two losses prior to starting IVF so really can't get my head round what might be normal or not. Clinic will scan me at six weeks, but that is two very long weeks away! Anyone else in a similar position? xxx

@Itonlytakesone they didn’t mention a usb to us. But that is such a nice thing to have.
I am seriously considering going to my bed now...

Oh I will look in to that!! We paid £700 for the embryoscope so it might be nice.

@physicskate yes call and enquire it's £50 for the usb at my hospital. I know it's only 22 seconds but figured you can maybe pause it, take pictures maybe print out and keep? I wrote a little diary from start of stimulation through ivf to look back on too

Keep getting cramps on and off. Tempted to call the hospital. I'm quite worried especially as I'm on the danger zone weeks for miscarriage. Nothing but worry these first weeks isn't it ? You wonder if it's normal or a sign of things about to go wrong feeling fed up 😩 @physicskate @Beherenow32 @TheArtfulScreamer @ginandtonicformeplease

@Itonlytakesone definitely phone the Hospital, if you have any worries. Even if it turns out not to be anything!! I’ve not had cramps as such, but very sharp pains every now and again.
The worry is so bad. I completely understand. I’m the same. Just want to be able to enjoy this at some point.
Let us know how you get on. As far as I’m aware, cramps are completely normal, unless you are in lots of pain. Xx

I'm with you on the worrying I've done another digi today in the hope that seeing it had moved on to +3 weeks would reassure me. The last 4 photos on my phone are basically just pictures of things I've peed on .
I've had a few pains but in fairness they've usually turned out to be wind as I am quite bloated on and off.
I've also downloaded the baby centre app and on the forum someone had posted a MC calculator and I came back as 84.something of being fine so that made me feel a little bit better.
I guess this level of anxiety is just part and parcel of the not so wonderful world of infertility.

The cramps have stopped now typical. I do get the sharp stabbing pains on and off too but feels like my ovaries. The pain could be my bowels/hunger/uterus expanding? Un nerving isn't it. Every day that goes by I'm grateful that I'm still in the game.

I called hospital they were lovely and reassuring the nurse told me it could be my body's way of telling me to slow down. Also cramps are normal as my body is adjusting to the pregnancy. If it gets worse or get any blood to go to get seen or call back. I'll just have to take it easy! With paracetamol if i get more cramps. These early weeks are so much fun? My scan seems ages away😞

Glad your cramps have stopped
My scan is next Fri and it can't come quick enough. I'm hoping I'll feel like our baby is real if I see it and it has a heartbeat.

@Itonlytakesone hopefully you can have a relaxing day. Not much going on for me atm. Except I have no energy at all. Was feeling a little sick yesterday and had a 2 hour nap. Hope you’re feeling better now.

@TheArtfulScreamer my scan is also next Friday. I’m nervous! Think I’ll take a pregnancy test just before. Haven’t done one so far... 🙈

You must have nerves of steel there's no way I could have just accepted the docs blood test result (even though it'll be the more accurate) I had to see it in words on the digi to even try to start believing it. Today's was definitely my last though after +3 there's no higher and rationally I might as well pee on a tenner for what difference it makes

Just bought loads of pregnancy vitamins. Prob too expensive, but might make me feel better xx

I've just bought the seven seas pregnancy vitamins after using their TTC vitamins which I really liked as they were small and mimicked a pill packet, I had hoped the pregnancy ones would be the same but no such luck they are like the pregnacare horse tablets.

I can’t believe how tired I am!! Slept 4-5 and haven’t moved off the sofa. My house is such a mess 😖

Yes fatigued definitely i just end up giving in and going up to bed in the day things have settled down I'm much happier tonight that's it from now on taking things easy bed whenever i want & tv. The first trimester is meant to be the toughest i guess?

@Itonlytakesone I’m napping every chance. Back in my bed now 😂 don’t feel so bad if you do that too!

@physicskate sounds like you’re getting it full on! I’ve still not had any proper sickness... really thought I would by now. There’s always a nervous feeling in my tummy though.

Oh no don't feel bad i definitely think rest helps everything so rest at every opportunity!

Iv not had any morning sickness either, slight nausea but not often. Sore boobs though and obviously the cramps that come and go.

Wonder what delights tomorrow will bring 😄...

@Itonlytakesone @Beherenow32 @TheArtfulScreamer I'm paranoid, I really am. I had really sore boobs during 2WW until the day before test day, then they just stopped hurting. I'm having occasional cramps and slight nausea, but the only real change is that I'm just not really hungry anymore - I don't care if I eat or not which is unheard of for me

I try not to read to much into symptoms or lack of them as it's different for everyone, look at all those people who give birth on the bathroom floor thinking they were suffering from a stomach bug. My boobs aren't as sore as they have been but I've had a BFP (well several) and the weeks indicator has gone up on the digi so that'll have to do for me until my scan next Fri and in fairness worrying or not worrying won't change anything. Infertility has already taken a lot from me I don't want it to ruin what should be an exciting and joyous time but then that's easier said than done.

Iv only taken hpts no blood tests yet. Registered by phone the other day at the hospital I'll be going to, in 7-10 days will get a letter with my appointment for an 8 week midwife check. Glad Iv got that ball rolling now it's not that long away really? My scan from my ivf clinic will probably be the same week as my midwife check.

Symptom free today like you @ginandtonicformeplease it's strange how it comes and goes? I am hungry though. I'm going to try to relax more and enjoy being pregnant too, we've come so far already. I can't wait to hear how your scan goes on Friday @TheArtfulScreamer @Beherenow32

@TheArtfulScreamer you’re def right re. The symptoms. I was going to buy a pregnancy test today, but wanted cheap supermarket brand. They didn’t have any left, so I didn’t bother...

Not had my daily nap 😔 - been out all day. also been a bit sicky. It’s just a tiny lingering bit. Couldn’t eat cake earlier, or drink tea. And had a burning feeling after eating.

Symptoms are changing all the time. It’s a lucky dip each hour! 😂 xx

I’m new here and looking for some comfort or advise. I’m 10dp5dt FET it’s my 3rd round of IVF and on day 8 I got my first ever positive test, quite faint but clearly there. The next morning I got pregnant 1-2 weeks on Clear Blue and I’ve been obsessively POAS since sticking to FRER and they’re quite light on a morning and darker as the day goes on. I am freaking out. Does anyone have any success stories of their tests not changing much in colour? I’ve done around 8/10 tests since Friday!

Hi welcome @ICSIWannabeMama it's so nerve racking isn't it. Iv only done 3 hpts and never compared the lines from am to pm. I guess a positive line is positive no matter how faint?

How do you feel? Because i knew i was pregnant before i took the test my stomach/womb area had feelings/pains/cramps I'd never felt before although i obviously didn't want to get my hopes up!

Hey @itonlytakesone thanks for replying. I knew pretty quick with my failed IVF’s and IUI’s that it hadn’t worked, I didn’t have to test. But this time I just felt “different” I got past the point I’d had every other cycle without bleeding. I had ridiculously itchy nipples and really bad lower back pain (not sure if that’s connected) so decided to test in the afternoon on day 8 and I got a positive. But now thanks to the internet im obsessing over the darkness of the tests etc. I’ve never in my life seen two lines before so I don’t know if it’s just all in my head that I can’t quite believe it’s true?! Fertility issues really have a way of making you feel negative. I’m sat here now with 7 positive tests in varying shades of pink and I also had a clear blue digital that’s now gone off. But I’m freaking out with worry that’s it’s chemical!

I have BETA first thing Tuesday morning, don’t know how I’ll come until then!!!

...and the worrying doesn't stop after a bfp! Have you read our conversations 😂 ? aww I'm happy for you, you deserve it after all these attempts no wonder you don't believe it! I would personally put your tests away. Don't do anymore, 8 is more than enough. Try to relax, nap if you need to in the day and enjoy it! Tuesday is so close! Iv got to wait until Second week of August for my first scan to see if it's all real it feels so far away 😩
