BFP after IVF: any other nervous ladies in need of a handhold?

I've had my BFP after our first FET and in a bit of a state analysing symptoms/lack of symptoms. Had two losses prior to starting IVF so really can't get my head round what might be normal or not. Clinic will scan me at six weeks, but that is two very long weeks away! Anyone else in a similar position? xxx

This thread was such a lifesaver for me in the early weeks so thought it might be good to have one for the next stage.

Yes cramps are normal. I had plenty. Occasionally I had fairly strong cramps which worried me at the time.

There's no way around it tho - the early weeks are a super anxious time!

Don't feel like I belong on the pregnancy or antenatal threads yet... lots of women who want their babies desperately, but it's making me a bit jealous they haven't been through infertility... maybe I'm just a terrible person. I guess the emotions are still way too raw...

Had a bit of spotting this morning and nearly freaked out. It was a tiny amount of bright red , tiny and then lighting brown. Thankfully we had out first scan booked for this evening- and all is ok. Sonographer said that she could see where bleed came from and nothing to worry about.... baby measuring exactly as it should 7 weeks and heartbeat lovely and strong. Starting to feel more real now. I'd def recommend having a private reassurance scan before 12 week one of you can. It's such an emotional time

Think I am even annoying myself with symptoms spotting. I’ve had a couple of things here and there... but nothing obvious. Just completely holding out for sickness to start 🙊

Hi lovelies! Feeling pretty nauseated... blegh. I'm 6+1. Scan on Monday and really just want to have it. The blood thinning injections from the very mild ohss are starting to get painful and annoying...

@physicskate hope all goes well with scan and you can get off those injections. You will be fed up of them. I know I’ll regret saying this, but I am wanting to feel sick... 😩 just to make sure there’s something going on. I do feel little symptoms, and am more hungry...

Hi hope you are all well and managing in this hot weather. I'm 9.3 now and have yet to really experience any symptoms, so much so that I keep using hpts to double check! Due to have my booking in appointment in just over a week and hopefully a scan soon after x

Hello all. I am currently 17 weeks 3 days pregnant. My nausea seems to be subsiding and my energy levels are going up again but I still haven’t got my appetite back. I just seem to have gone off enjoying food and am finding it a chore having to think about what I’m going to eat, which has never previously been a problem for me. I’m waiting for my scan now on 31st July 2018. I keep thinking that I’m feeling something going on in there but then keep thinking it’s just my mind playing tricks on me. Glad to hear everyone is doing ok x

Ugh just been sick. 6 +2. I wouldn't mind if it's a regular thing if it means things progressing well!!!

Slight queasiness probably started wednesday/ Thursday? So about 4/5 days ago??

Was pleasantly surprised that actually being sick made me feel a bit better, a bit less nauseous after... so I don't think I'll be so afraid of it next time.

Hi i got a bfp this weekend after ivf was wondering what happens next? Iv emailed my clinic I'm guessing they call me one day to book a scan, do i tell my gp or am i still under the care of my ivf clinic? Any advice appreciated, so happy Smilex

My clinic told me to come in for a scan when I’m 7 weeks. That’s all the told me tbh! I think I will phone the midwife once discharged from the hospital (praying that everything is ok).
I just needed to finish my pack of Chrinone gel, then stopped after that xx

@Beherenow32 How many weeks are you now? And does it count from your last period or fertilisation?Confused
I was only given progesterone until the otd so im nervous being off them..but so far so good. Is the gel you're on similar? My body will just have to take over from the medication now which is a scary thought!

I’m 5+3 weeks. I think you count it from 2 weeks before egg collection/ fertilisation.
The Chrinone was progesterone, yeah. I only had 2 left... I am a nervous wreck! lol. Just trying to stay calm.

@Beherenow32 I'd like to make you feel better about coming off the progesterone but i am also a nervous wreck! Hoping my body just knows what to do!

I'm feeling ok, was very fatigued on second half of tww. Still getting slight ovary twinges they must be having a tough time calming down after the drugs. Still no call from the clinic i don't know what to do with myself today! I'm about 4 and a half weeks then so similar to you.! How are you feeling?

@Itonlytakesone I’m tired! But exhaustion hits all of a sudden too. Sore boobs, and lightheaded when I stand up from sitting/ lying. Have been hungry, but that’s not all the time, and a bad taste in my mouth. And I’m still worrying because I don’t have sickness as a symptom! Haha.

Could you give the clinic a phone? Just say you’re wondering what the next stage is. X

Iv spoken to the nurse at hospital they called me. I'm all booked in for a few weeks time. Iv not had morning sickness either just two or three days with slight nausea but that's passed. Dizzy in tww not now. Feel like normal today like i can't be pregnant?!

Research into what i can and can't eat has sent me in to a meltdown ConfusedThere's so many different rules anyway I'll get there!Smile
