@PennyBC26 thank you so much I am super pleased with that, it’s not mounds but it’s milestone for me. Thanks for your thoughtful messages and support means a lot. I’m sure we would all say it but my husband is the absolute best I’m so lucky to have him he is not letting me lift a literal finger xxxx

wanab · 15/07/2019 23:30

That’s amazing! So pleased for you hun! I have my drugs appointment tomorrow. X

crisps88 · 17/07/2019 09:31

@wanab how did your drugs appointment go ? Good I hope xxx

wanab · 17/07/2019 11:02

Yes drugs are ordered. Start 28th. X

crisps88 · 18/07/2019 10:32

@wanab brilliant, so what’s your plan from there? The schedule ? Do you need to start the drugs like a normal transfer?

@PennyBC26 how are you doing? Any news?

I got a call from the embryologist today. She said all 8 have gone through still, with the grading (our clinic is good/medium/poor) and 5 of them are good and 3 are medium!! So so excited and happy.

My transfer scheduled for Saturday 10am and then they will discuss whether or not anything is suitable for freezing. X x x x x x

wanab · 18/07/2019 10:46

Excellent! Yes I start buserelin injections on 28th. Will have a bleed as normal then after a scan to check lining is thin I will start the eostrogren (progynova) tablets then Lubion injections. All alongside the probiotics.

crisps88 · 18/07/2019 14:20

@wanab wow that’s so much. Is that the same every time for frozen transfers? Gosh so much isn’t it. I know made up especially considering last time. Just fingers crossed for Saturday so much can change. X x x

wanab · 18/07/2019 15:20

That's the basic for a medicated FET excluding the probiotics and also the metformin I'm still on. The FET drugs are now all prescription prices if nhs funded but I have a nhs prepayment certificate. Everything crossed for you for Saturday. X

PennyBC26 · 18/07/2019 22:27

@crisps88 wow!! You have done absolutely amazing!! So happy for you! That must be such a weight off your mind that you got lots of eggs and nice ones too! Hope you are resting up now. I am four days in to the buserelin. This afternoon I started feeling hot in the face like it was going flush. Then tonight out of nowhere I got a really intense panic feeling and had a panic attack. I had to stand outside to catch my breath. Not sure if that's the buserelin messing with my emotions?! Other then that I've just been really thirsty. Still waiting for AF to arrive then hopefully will have a scan after that to check the lining. @wanab My schedule sounds similar to yours apart from the probiotics. Do you think I should be taking those too?xx

wanab · 18/07/2019 22:53

Hi @PennyBC26 I am only on them as the Emma test showed mine was ultra low. You shouldn’t need them. I think it’s generally the same protocol for everyone on a medicated FET. The hot flushes etc will be from the buserelin as it effectively puts you in menopause temporarily. I found I got headaches last time but if I felt one coming on and I drank a cup of water it generally kept it at bay. I won’t be far behind you. X

crisps88 · 19/07/2019 11:48

@PennyBC26 that sounds terrible!!! I’m so sorry for you. It sounds dreadful and scary. How are you coping? Is that the main side effect you’re getting?

PennyBC26 · 19/07/2019 17:17

Thanks @crisps88 @wanab I'm ok, just been tired today. I keep getting warm face throughout the day, it comes and goes. Think the panic yesterday might have been my body working it all out, it's exhausting isn't it!! I have summer drinks with my work team tomorrow, only a couple know so I'm waiting for everybody else to question me as to why I'm not drinking! I've not had a drink since March!! How are you both?xx

wanab · 19/07/2019 18:07

I just want to get going now. The waiting is the worst part in some ways.

crisps88 · 19/07/2019 19:51

@PennyBC26 you’ve done amazing not to drink since March! Especially during social events it’s sooo hard isn’t it because people always jump to the wrong (and so much wanted!!) conclusion. We have occasions nearly every weekend and only our parents and one friend each know about our ivf so it’s so hard to pretend. Yeh definitely could Be all the anxiety and hormonal changes just expressing itself. But so hard for you. Hopefully you’ve had a nice relaxing time today, you deserve it xxxx

crisps88 · 19/07/2019 19:52

Ps im ok, so nervous for tomorrow! It’s my birthday today and first year I’ve not celebrated it really, I’m still so sore from egg collection and can’t drink so just had a chilled one. Transfer tomorrow at 10am and find out how the embryos are and if still
There and / or any to freeze 😬 xx

PennyBC26 · 19/07/2019 20:29

@crisps88 Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have managed to have a lovely day!! I will be thinking of you tomorrow at 10am, such an anxious time but also full of hope and future possibilities! You have done so well on this rollercoaster of a journey! Try to get an early night and think positive thoughts!xxx

wanab · 19/07/2019 21:33

Good luck @crisps88 and happy birthday. My friend has just had a baby this eve but she was rushed to hozzy with preeclampsia. She attempted a natural birth with instruments but ended up with emergency c section. I was so worried for them. I’m relieved now he’s here safe. She had started tests for infertility when she fell naturally.

PennyBC26 · 20/07/2019 10:18

@wanab Gosh, hope she is ok. How long was she trying naturally for?xx

PennyBC26 · 20/07/2019 10:19

@wanab Good luck for today!!!!!xxxx

wanab · 20/07/2019 14:30

I didn't realise but apparently in labour from Thursday morning. Hea arrived safely and hes very cute :)

How has today gone @crisps88

crisps88 · 20/07/2019 16:07

@wanab congratulations to your friend! What an amazing but worrying time for you, are you feeling alright? I envy random strangers and feel like why can’t it Ben me but my family and friends I feel so super happy for them genuinely. It’s so hard isn’t it.

Today went brilliant thank you girls, @PennyBC26 the embryologist told us we have 3 top quality embryos - the best was transferred today and 2 are going into the freezer. She will call us tomorrow with an update on 2 others that are doing well but they will see tomorrow if they are good enough for the freezer. The other 1 has stopped developing.

So excited we have 2 to freeze , my last cycle was such a failed attempt. Yay! Now OMG the wait 😩😩😬😬🤞🤞 31st July is my official test date! How long did you guys wait to test? I crumbed about 6 days in last time!!!

Xxx

PennyBC26 · 20/07/2019 22:33

@crisps88 That's brilliant news!! Sounds like it's going positively!! Long may it continue for you! I waited to the OTD to test, I started spotting a week before and tried to convince myself it was implantation but I knew it wasn't. I'd prepared for a BFN. Hoping it's different this time! Just got back from works drinks. Conversations generally revolved around everyone's kids (I'm the only one without) tough gig!!xx

crisps88 · 20/07/2019 22:56

@PennyBC26 😞😞😞 it’s so sad isn’t it, when you think especially you go out to try and kind of take your mind off it and escape the ivf constant torture and mind games but it never seems to end. - dramatic but true! But then I get it, if I had kids I probably wouldn’t stop talking abut them. It’s hard isn’t it. Hope you managed to hopefully enjoy yourself. You did so well OTD wowzers, I wish I had that self control! X x x

crisps88 · 22/07/2019 10:23

Hey @wanab only 6 days til you start your meds. What’s your regime after that? Is it injections scans and transfer?

Hey @PennyBC26 did you have a good weekend? How are your side effects from the drugs any more flushes/anxiety or getting better ? Xxx

wanab · 22/07/2019 13:33

Yes @crisps88 that's right. Injections, bleed, scan, pills, more injections, scan then transfer.

Having a nightmare with friends at the moment so a bit stressed. One friends newborn is really ill and had to have a lumbar puncture at 2do. Another has her 7 week scan on her last embryo of ivf, and is worried as she has had one natural miscarriage, and a missed one diagnosed at the 7 week last time. My other friends' toddler fell off a chair and hit his head on the corner of the wall yesterday. Bled a lot, but thankfully hes ok but it was a shock at the time. And one friend had an op friday for second throat cancer. I was in a good place myself but feeling it all for everyone around me. Also impatient to start. Other than all that it's been a good weekend!!!
