Oh and this morning a colleague excitedly showed me a 4d scan of her ivf grandchild. I'm made up for the girl as shes had numerous miscarriages before they diagnosed sticky blood and it was her very last try. But still finding my colleagues excitement hard to deal with at the moment with everything going on.

PennyBC26 · 22/07/2019 20:15

@crisps88 I'm doing ok thanks! The flushes keep coming, quite intense but it must be doing something!! No more anxiety so hope that stays away!!!! Got my scan booked in for Tuesday so hopefully will know more then bit the nurse said after that the transfer should be in 21 days. @wanab sounds like it's been hectic for you!! I feel your frustrations with the scan as there is a colleague at work who is pregnant with twins following her third IVF...BUT...it is proof that it works!!! I've just got back from acupuncture and a deep tissue massage, it was amazing so I'm feeling chilled, for now! What is sticky blood? How is that diagnosed? Hope you are both ok xxx

crisps88 · 23/07/2019 14:03

@wanab wow that’s a lot you have going on!!!!! You’re dealing with so much right now. I hope all your friends are ok and their children, thoughts are prayers are with them. Oh gosh it sounds like more than a fresh transfer everything you do for your frozens especially the break for a bleed etc. It’s really hard to deal with I was in the exact same situation in my work with a colleague and I was happy for them but it sometimes it feels everywhere you turn it was baby news it’s really hard isn’t it. X x

crisps88 · 23/07/2019 14:14

@PennyBC26 today or next Tuesday? Good luck for either! Oooh that sounds nice and relaxing glad you’re chilling out and glad you feel them working it actually relieves you when you get side effects in some way I think! I felt wellllll more this time and it made me feel better in a way. 2ww is killing me in only 3dp5dt!!!! Eeek xx

wanab · 23/07/2019 18:32

Hi @crisps88. Things are looking up for my friend’s newborn. Feel so relieved! I think I may have been ovulating so hormonal on top of everything. Sorry about the rant.

The bleed is while on meds. It’s a natural bleed to then check the lining is thin enough to start building it up from scratch for transfer. Sounds odd but if too thick then it won’t support life.

It’s ok about my colleague. I guess having been through it all with her daughter I thought she would be a bit more sensitive. I know she is just super excited though. Her son is also having a baby. I think it was just the icing on the cake with everything else going on and my hormones!

I have everything crossed for you.
X

PennyBC26 · 23/07/2019 20:33

@crisps88 Thank you, it is next Tuesday. Hoping I can ask a few more questions about my frozen embryos as all they said was that they are 'lovely'. Having said that, my work colleague who is having the twins said her embryos were the poorest grade but they did the trick and stuck around!! @wanab Glad your friends new born is doing ok. Hope you are both enjoying this sunny weather, I have two more days to go in work then I've finished for summer! Hoping the break will make all the difference to this cycle!xxx

crisps88 · 24/07/2019 10:49

@wanab you’re more than entitled! Honestly you’ve got so much in your plate and you’ve got loads That’s going on at the moment. It’s so strange all the things for frozen transfer I thought it was less than a fresh one. Yeah definitely some people can be quite self obsessed though I find when it comes to this topic. The people in work (bar my boss) don’t know, they’re just oblivious and they’re so judgemental about whether or not you had kids and pregnancies, it doesn’t enter their heads their feelings of anyone else. X x x

crisps88 · 24/07/2019 10:53

@PennyBC26 that’s good that you’ve got some questions ready and you know in your head what you want to ask. Wow that’s amazing that’s good for her, brilliant news. For you two @wanab would you ever think about transferring two? How many do you have left @wanab? Woooo brill news, you’ll be able to chill then. I can’t sit in the sun because I can’t overheat during transfer so its rubbish I’m sitting here driving myself insane XX

wanab · 24/07/2019 18:40

Thanks @crisps88.
Mr Haddad said before I’d even had the last transfer that we would do two next time, but then mr wood says there’s no point putting two in at this stage and hoping it works. I still have 15 left. He suggested we try a few more, especially now I’ve switched to medicated and am on the probiotics.
If they fail he then said we could either consider trying two, or thaw the rest PGS test then use just the remaining good ones. He said in an ideal world where money is no object we would test all before freezing which would save time and emotions etc on using non viable embryos, but it’s not realistic.

crisps88 · 24/07/2019 19:19

@wanab are you thinking of doing 2 this time or no? That’s confusing advice isn’t it. You prefer Mr Haddad though didn’t you mention. Ahh ok that’s a good idea isn’t it but as you as no realistic. I hope you are feeling better and everything is settling down xx

wanab · 24/07/2019 19:49

No, just one, I trust mr wood more than mr haddad, and I think he explains his reasoning more. He just makes more sense.

PennyBC26 · 28/07/2019 09:11

Hi ladies, I'm on day 14 of buserelin now and yesterday I started spotting. AF finished on Thursday so not sure what is going on?! I've got some mild period like cramps. Do you think this is normal?xxx

wanab · 28/07/2019 11:32

I imagine it's just clearing out the last little bit from your period. X

PennyBC26 · 28/07/2019 14:44

Thanks, I've been to Dr.Google and it is normal. I've emailed the nurse too just incase! I've just bought some 'Pom' juice, apparently that's meant to be good prep for the transfer!! The things we do hey!!xxx

crisps88 · 28/07/2019 21:24

Hope your meeting goes well Tuesday @PennyBC26, do you have everything prepped questions etc you want to ask? That’s good isn’t it, least you have a good idea of what’s going on. Ah ok @wanab how are your friends now and their little ones? X x x

wanab · 28/07/2019 22:24

Doing well thanks. They are home, and they posted on facebook about their arrival this morning.

I started injections today, one down, many of go 🙃

PennyBC26 · 30/07/2019 08:47

Thanks @crisps88 Appointment is today, having a scan so praying all is as it should be!! I'm hoping they can tell me more info about the embryo that will be put in, having said that many people say it doesn't matter. I just feel like everything is out of my hands. The only think I can do is try to relax and eat healthy...easier said than done!xxx

PennyBC26 · 30/07/2019 15:32

Hi ladies, appointment went well today. The lining is nice and thin, phew! The nurse said I'll get a call tomorrow to let me know when to start taking the oestrogen and to let me know the dates of the scan and transfer. I asked about the embryos I have frozen. One is a 4BB and the other a 2BB. The nurse said they were both good and told me not to get too hung up on the grading as sometimes there isn't much in it. How are you both getting on?xx

crisps88 · 31/07/2019 05:49

Morning ladies, I tried to wait until a “reasonable hour” to update lol. My OFD today and it’s a BFP!!! Words can’t describe how overwhelmed and happy and made up and ecstatic we are.

I did start testing from 2 and 3 days pt to test out my trigger (negative) and then started to test from 5dp5dt and had a faint positive so I’ve gone through 16 tests and tested everyday until today!

It’s really dark and amaZing to see those two lines! I know there’s soooo many hurdles and situations to overcome but I am just enjoying this moment! Yay xxxxx

wanab · 31/07/2019 08:08

That’s amazing! Well done @crisps88! Will pray it continues to stick and grow for the next 9 months! Xxxxx ❤️❤️🎉🎉🙏🏻🙏🏻

PennyBC26 · 31/07/2019 10:04

@crisps88 Yesssssss!!!!! Wonderful news!!! So happy for you!!! Absolutely brilliant!!! Congratulations!! You must be over the moon!! Do you think you did anything different this time? xxx

Kdee52 · 31/07/2019 17:12

Hi Ladies,

So its been more than a year since i last posted on here. I had a failed IVF frozen transfer late last year and really needed a long break away from IVF for a while. I was so heartbroken as we only had the one embryo. I'm back on my feet now, and ready to start a fresh round of IVF now.

Hopefully from next month i will be starting a new round, and feeling quite apprehensive about the medications. i'm trying to stay positive and feel like i'm in a much better position this time round.

reading all your posts on the thread has made me feel like there is support and hope out there as you are all going through your own journey's.

crisps88 · 31/07/2019 20:10

Thank you soooo much @PennyBC26 and @wanab such amazing news, I am made up. So overwhelmed I can’t believe yet! I know roll on, I am terrified already of wishing everyday to be ok. Yes @PennyBC26 I had quite a lot different this Time. I’ll try and PM you if I can work it out lol. X x x x

crisps88 · 31/07/2019 20:14

It was mainly my increased Meriofert and 39943993 supplements 😂 my diet is still hideous and not healthy, alcohol intake was still excessive and I stopped the weekend before egg transfer. I didn’t do acupuncture this time, and had 19 days off and just ate what I wanted and relaxed totally and opposed to a week the first cycle. X x
