Negative again for me this morning . Onwards and upwards... going to push for medicated next time I think.

crisps88 · 21/03/2019 08:09

Hi @wanab I am so so sorry for your negative result. I really am , wish it wasn’t but this way for you. What is the medicated route you’re thinking of? You’re doing amazing to think of steps in the future well done. Lots of thoughts to you and your other half and sorry to hear this again. Xx

wanab · 21/03/2019 08:42

A medicated FET with the down reg etc. Not entirely sure what it entails but injections and pessaries. In my head they have more control that way and perhaps can help if it starts to go wrong.

crisps88 · 21/03/2019 13:46

Aw I am sorry for you. You’re very strong. Oh right ok, as opposed to your frozen cycles or? That’s what I had the FET, I still am not ivf informationed up lol. I had northisterone for a while then two different sets of injections starting at different times then the egg collection then the transfer. Definitely medicated up, the hormones were unreal. I hope it is all worth it for us all. sorry again and hope you can have time to relax and recover xx

PennyBC26 · 21/03/2019 20:17

@wanab I am so sorry to hear this. I really hope you are ok and trying to stay even just a little bit positive as difficult as it might be x

wanab · 21/03/2019 22:15

@crisps88 yours was a fresh transfer. It's a medicated FET (frozen embryos transfer) I am talking about. No ec just down regging and pessaries etc with a frozen.

crisps88 · 25/03/2019 13:01

@wanab ah ok. As I say I’m not sure on these terms. How are you doing now xx

crisps88 · 25/03/2019 13:03

@PennyBC26 how you doing any heads on your cyst removal xx

wanab · 25/03/2019 15:41

That's ok. I'm in a fb group that uses them all so I soon picked them up. Doing ok. Just waiting for appointment to come through. Have requested mr wood this time.

PennyBC26 · 25/03/2019 19:13

@crisps88 Hi, hope you are doing ok. I've got an appointment on 2nd April for it to be looked at and removed there and then if needed, although AF is due on 31st but they said that wouldn't matter. I've got to make the phone call to the nurse on the first day of my period and then on day 16 I think everything will start, hopefully!xx

crisps88 · 25/03/2019 20:29

@PennyBC26 that’s brilliant news, eek it will all move just so fast from there!! And it’s not long at all, plus they’re taking action when you’re there that’s all good. Have they spoken to you about any medicines or anything that you’ll be using?

We have our review appointment a week today so I’m quite looking forward to having some feedback on what went wrong so to speak. And hopefully provide a little bit of closure. Although I did cancel my counselling last week as I just felt like I didn’t want to talk about it again, and kind of rehash everything. I don’t know, them some days I did really feel it. Glad to hear that things are progressing with you! X x

crisps88 · 25/03/2019 20:32

@wanab are you requesting a different consultant ? Hopefully things will move forward for you in a different direction and a more positive light. Hope things aren’t too bad for you at the Moment , you seem to really be moving forward and so determined that’s really admirable. X

PennyBC26 · 25/03/2019 20:50

@crisps88 They mentioned lots of medications but I was so overwhelmed by it all I didn't really take it in! I know if is going to be the maximum dosage of everything though!! I went to the fertility show in Manchester, it was actually really comforting to hear people's stories and speak to different fertility clinics. I bet you can't wait for your review, it's a step in the right direction. You must still feel sad, I'm sure you could always go back for a counselling session but I totally agree with you not wanting to rehash it again. Stay positive!!xx

wanab · 25/03/2019 21:44

I see different docs every time but my last follow up was with mr haddad. I just felt rushed and wasn't really asked how I felt. I don't feel he has much bedside manner so to speak. So I've specifically requested mr wood. Waiting for follow up to come through post still. X

Hi everyone I'm feeling extremely anxious about the thawing process.
Due to have our embryo transfer this Friday but we only have the one.
Been given a 85 percent chance that it will survive but still feel sick to my stomach.
This is my first medicated transfer.
Had two fresh previously.
With the last one ending in miscarriage a 6 weeks my emotions are all over the place.
Was referred for counselling in December but still have not heard anything about it.

crisps88 · 26/03/2019 07:50

Hey @SarahC16 sorry to hear your experiences, maybe give Ivi a call at Chester and explain as they refer you to the counselling? Mine was pretty much instantaneous so maybe they’ve not put you on the list?

It must be so hard for you With your precious emotions. Easier said than done but maybe treat this one as a brand new experience and just feel totally positive and excited. But so much harder to do in real life I know. Fingers crossed your little emby survives and I hate this saying but it only takes one. Keep us updated. Xx

wanab · 26/03/2019 08:05

Hi @SarahC16. I have everything crossed for you. It’s so hard to try again after a loss, no matter how early. I would chase up about the counselling! I’ve had three thawed now. One of them didn’t full recover, but none have not survived the thaw. I understand your worry with no back ups though. Will be praying for you! Xxx

SarahC16 · 26/03/2019 12:17

Thank you so much for the support ladies it means a lot and nice to chat with others that are going through the same experiences.
Did you find the counselling useful?I did wonder if we had been forgotten about.
I got told our names were on the list after the miscarriage in December.
I'm trying to stay positive and booked myself 10 days off work which will help.
It's just awful as we have no control of what happens as you all know.

wanab · 26/03/2019 13:20

Never had counselling so can't help I'm afraid. X

crisps88 · 26/03/2019 20:04

@SarahC16 we were referred to counselling when I originally called and told her the transfer had failed. I was very matter of fact and wasn’t upset as I was going through so many different emotions every hour it depended on when I was either extremely emotional or empty. She offered counselling straight away and I got a call that week for a session the next week, as I say I counselled it as I didn’t feel ready to rehash it emotionally. Which is good and bad, but down days are lessening but the yearn to have a baby is just crushing.

I am really so hopeful for you that your little frozen one is ok and that it makes it and blooms in your womb.

Thinking of you! Xx

PennyBC26 · 26/03/2019 20:08

@SarahC16 hope you are ok Sarah, stay positive xx

SarahC16 · 27/03/2019 12:13

Thank you ladies.
Just trying to make it through to Friday at work it's hard work as it's all I can think about.
Just got to try and stay positive and hope it all works out.
It's my partners birthday Friday too so hopefully it's a good sign xxx

PennyBC26 · 27/03/2019 18:50

I've not told work yet, think I might do nearer the time as I don't know how I will react to the medication. Have you all told work?xx

wanab · 27/03/2019 19:32

I did..I figured it was a lot easier than trying to get time off at short notice. They can be funny about that. It turned out a few people at work have experience of infertility treatments...

I have my follow up on 9th April.

PennyBC26 · 27/03/2019 20:16

@wanab yes, I think I will tell them. I think it might actually stop me stressing a bit and maybe even give me a bit less pressure. Did you take off a long period of time? The nurse told me she could sign me off for two weeks if I think I needed it. April 9th will be here in no time!xx
