Anyone due to ivf in January!!

Hello! I just booked all my appointments for January and my meds should arrive on Friday.i was wondering if there is someone else that will have ivf in January so we can share our experiences? Thank you!!

In my case I will start the stims(gonal) on Wednesday. They arranged all the appoiments and injections when I had the meeting with the nurse. I started bruselin on 9th and I have to start stims on 17, followed by scan on 22,24 and 26. Probably every clinic is different with their protocols, who knows. By the way I'm from east Sussex.what about you all? Hugs

Hi everyone scan went well today, took my first dose of merional (similar to menopur) and continuing buserelin. I’m on day 15 of buserelin and getting more flushes! Next scan on 22nd

Ahh well you're all a bit ahead of me then as I don't start stims for just over a week. Keep me updated on how you all get on! X

@sjh84 no scan today, it was cancelled as AF still was a no show. But luckily I've finally started bleeding, only 3 weeks of bloody buserelin it took!

Hoping to start stimms next week, which will mean I'll be level with you probs @aly82

About to take my second dose of stims, I’ve been mega bloated today and a weird pulling sensation in my pelvic area but hopefully it means things are just getting moving!

@sjh84 good luck with your second dose. You've pulled! (even if it is yourself)

I've felt bloated too, must be a good sign xx

Hi,all! Some updates: last night I started the global f.i must admit is not so bad as I expected , only now I have 2 injection a day My doze is 112.5 for the moment and I will have a scan on 22..hope all of you are ok . Hugs🤗

I'm so sorry that you were unsuccessful CoolChick. I wish you all the best with the adoption route.

I'm another one feeling all bloated on the stims. My stomach is so puffed out and tender right now. I'm bruising a lot more around injection spots and every needle nips going in and out where before I didn't feel any pain.

I'm in the midst of monitoring scans at the moment. I have a good squad of follicles in each ovary but none at the stage for collection yet. The clinic only measured the big ones so I have about a dozen around the 9-12 mark on their measurement scale though there were lots of smaller ones in there too. Hopefully they will continue to grow over the next week or so.

How long will you have been stimming before your first scan @fabuloustumbleweed - It will be 7 days for me as I have my first scan Monday, it seems like a long time!

Hi.Sjh84 we will have the scan in the same day, for me will be day 6 of stims

@ SJh84 I was stimming for 6 days before my first scan. Next one is tomorrow so hopeful that the big ones have gotten bigger since then.

Wow @FabulousTumbleweed that sounds like a great start! I have premature ovarian failure at the grand old age of 31 so can only dream of follicles in those numbers!! Do you mind me asking what your Antral follicle count was before starting treatment? I have no idea if that directly correlates to how many eggs you may get after stinking? Anyone know?

Hi @hoping2018. I had a count of 14 when I was examined before starting. But that was done a good few months before I actually started this first cycle.

Most of the results from the tests I had done showed most counts were average or thereabouts so I didn't look into them all that much. I've known since I had a laparoscopy that my main issue lay with the fact that the endo wreaked havoc with my tubes and also DH's tests have shown that he has quite a low sperm count/low morphology. We were advised to go straight to IVF on this basis as it would be difficult for us to conceive naturally.

Hi all! I had my second injection of gonal f tonight and I was wondering if anyone else felt like one part(for me is the left one)of the belly is more sensible on injections ? I'm not bruising yet but somehow I feel it is a bit painfully on this side. Or maybe is just me 🙄. Sweet dreams all!!!

Aly82 it’s strange some nights it’s more painful than others! I iced the area for the first time last night and it definitely took the edge off.

How do you all feel on the stims? I feel a lot of sharp twinges getting off to sleep, but I’m also getting a lot of gas so it could be that too! Sometimes I feel really panicky with it all worrying about the side effects but I know it’s probably normal...

Hi ,Sjh84.so far I'm ok ,i have a lot of gas too and sometimes a headache. But i foud it is better when i drink more water.i don't have any pains on my ovary I just feel full somehow.i don't know how to explain. Did you had your scan or how do you presume you have 8 follicle? Hugs to all😊

Ooh I dont know they counted 4 ‘things’ each side on my baseline before I started my stims

It is hard to describe the feeling isnt it! I get the twinges when I go to bed mostly but I do the jabs at 8pm so maybe its just kicking in?!

Okay so that answers that question that I had been pondering: is it the stims making me gassy or just me .

Had a monitoring scan this morning. Follicles are coming along nicely and have all gotten bigger. I'm hoping that some will be ready for collection next week but will have to wait and see. Have another scan booked in for early next week so will probably find out then.

Sounds promising @FabulousTumbleweed. I had 9 follicles on a scan a few months ago which doctor seemed pleased with as my AMH and FSH levels are shit . To quote the consultant he was was "reassured to see a quite good Antral follicle count". I don't think that goes up ever though?!? So can't imagine I'm ever going to get more eggs than that?

Jealous you're all stinking already I'm still buserling away - so many hot sweats last night, slept terribly and just had a complete meltdown on the phone to my parents. This is all so shit!!

I'm also still down regging until Tuesday, hoping! Although I think I started after you. Hopefully the stims will stop some of your side effects and you'll be feeling a bit less shit. (Despite tender or bloated belly after a few days). My stims might start Friday if scan OK, still some more waiting! Hope your scan is quiet & as expected.
