Anyone due to ivf in January!!

Hello! I just booked all my appointments for January and my meds should arrive on Friday.i was wondering if there is someone else that will have ivf in January so we can share our experiences? Thank you!!

@Sjh84 I think you and I are on the same day of buserelin injections. My baseline scan isn't til the 22nd though which seems forever away?! When is yours?

@Aly82 so sorry to hear about the medication mix ups! What a nightmare. Buserelin is ok - I had the flu when I started it and getting awful hot sweats so I'm relieved to find that was the flu and not the injection!!

Hello! For the moment I am on day 5 of bruselin Injections and my period came yesterday.i called the clinic as I have to start gonal injection next Wednesday and will be 5 day of my cycle.i read somewhere that you have to start them on 2 or 3 day of your period. They said is not a problem they start them after your 2 day to be sure you 're not pregnant ( you can start them from day2 till day 7). I read on other sites that the period is heavier while on injections, but mine is quite low and with cloth. Does anyone had this? . I will have my first scan on 22 the 24 and 26, hope everything is ok.

My period came as normal right on the day it was predicted on the app I use to track it. It was about the same flow as it usually is. I’m usually heavy with clots so there was nothing the buserelin could do to make it any worse for me.

I’m currently on day 3 of gonal and it’s day 12 of my cycle. My treatment is based on me having endometriosis though so I may be on a different path from everybody else. I’m still on buserelin too so twice the daily fun of injections at the moment. Had an absolute belter of a headache after the first injection of gonal but have been fine since so I’m hoping that it was just a headache and unrelated. The buserelin has started to give me hot flushes but as I’m always feeling the cold just now I really only notice the flushes when I’m in bed or wrapped up in a bathrobe or blanket.

ah thank you hoping I hope this will be a lucky thread for us ive been feeling tired sick eating and drinking lots appetite brill so still on track for Monday I haven't had any spotting since the transfer so hopefully that is good news but not getting my hopes up just incase its dashed how is everyone else sorry I haven't been on hear lately I have been trying to keep myself busy and went back to work Wednesday so busy with house work would love to hear about your journeys

Hope you don't mind if I join! I started new years eve.
So relieved to see other people starting around the same time. I'm on my first cycle, two weeks into buserelin. No AF and scans on Monday.
Mood swings, emotions all over the shop and scared about it going wrong. Just relieved there's a place to share this.

Hi @Floofen welcome. I'm on day 12 of buserelin now and the hot sweats are definitely getting worse? I'm clearly on a different protocol to you though as next thing is a scan on 22nd and only after that is more injections. I started my period it was 2 days late which is unheard of - slightly heavier than normal but I have ridiculously light periods so still only needed tampons for a couple of days! We're having ICSI but really hoping my lining isn't an issue...

@hopeing2018 I see you've already had AF, lucky you! I'm a bag of nerves waiting for mine to arrive. Good luck with your scan, that's next Monday? Mine's on 16th, although not sure why as I've still not bled.

im getting nervous about taking a test as I will be beside myself if its another negative but staying positive the consultant is confidient that it has worked so I have to go on what he said and good that I haven't spotted since the transfer on the 4th jan so all is good at the moment this end I will let you know how I get on def yep I'm testing tomorrow hoping big eek

I would like to take opportunitythank you for all your supports it has meant a lot unfortunately it hasnt worked out for me positives out of it is we will keeping the other three eggs and looking into adoption too I would like to still keep in contact with you lot and anyone joining this is by far the best thread to be on you lot have been amazing and thank you from bottom of my heart xx

@Coolchick11 I'm so very sorry to hear that. It must be heartbreaking. Will you get a debrief with the consultant to talk about things? Do you mind me asking why you don't want to use your extra eggs? It must be a very hard decision to move onto the next stage along but you can only do what feels right at the time. Please let us know how you get on x

Financially we can't afford to do it again I personally would love to do it again but money is stopping us doing it it's very heart breaking and haven't had a debrief on what went on well for now I need to focus on something else and think adoption will do that for me i dont really want to but i will drive myself crazy if i carry on this journey we aren't saying never with the eggs xx

So sorry to hear Coolchick11. You was one of the first members and I felt so good to have somebody to talk to. But please don't loose you hope, eventually something good will happen..
Welcome to new members is nice to see that our group is getting bigger 😊.
As for me I don't have new updates. I am on day 7 of bruselin and on Wednesday I will start gonal f . Untill next scan on 22 I will have to assume that everything is ok.

@Aly82 I'll join you with a scan on 22nd. Mines my day 0 though so I think that's just to make sure everything is quiet? Is that what yours is?

Hi ,hoping2018! Sorry but is my first attempt to ivf, what do you mean by day 0?
For me the scan is to measure and see how many follicle are, I think and also they said I have to do some blood test too. Depending of the result they will change or keep the same the doze of gonal f.

Hey @Aly82 I'm not sure what I mean by day 0! Lol (my first try too!!) that's just what they call it on the form I think just to check I'm not going to ovulate myself and my lining is thin etc and then after that they start stimulating?
