IVF in May/JUNE 2017..cycle buddies!

Hi

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

I was 10dp5dt when I first tested I tested again with a more expensive brand the next day and actually it ended up being even more faint with that brand so reverted to the original one. Had my bloods done 12dp5dt and were high enough not to need any retest. Hoping for the best for you.

How are you getting on Karen?

Hi Lily, I’m going to retest tomorrow, I hope it’s a definite yes or no so I can move on. I have no symptoms though so I’m thinking it might have been a chemical. I’m thinking I might have had some symptoms middle of last week but now they’ve gone.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow - let me know how you get on. Is it FRER you have been using? X

I have 1 frer and 1 of the nhs ones left, the nhs one gave a less faint 2nd line but it didn’t come up for a bit? I just don’t know? I’m gonna use both just to make sure but I’m glad we have the frozen one as back up

Haha I know, if this whole process wasn’t stressful enough! I’m a little concerned that if it is a cp that I’ve also had 2 previous miscarriages as well. I just want 1 good egg!!

I’ve just retested and both 2nd lines came up instantly, oh god I’m shaking! I think I just got my bfp I can’t believe it. I was so convinced they would be negative I hadn’t even done my progesterone this morning! Still not sure I believe it

Hello, thought I’d update you all, sadly my bfp didn’t last long and I miscarried earlier this week, I just had a feeling something wasn’t right I didn’t have a single symptom, then last Friday I got really bad localised pain on my right side so was scanned for potential eptopic, thankfully it wasn’t and the scan showed 2 small sacs and was told to see how it goes. Sadly it all ended but strangely I’m feeling ok, I think knowing we’re being cared for now and I have a frostie left is giving me hope.

How is everyone else, Lily have you started yet?

Oh Karen I’m so sorry to hear that. The frostie and the fact that you did get a BFP must give you some comfort but it’s still sad. Hope you are ok. Look after yourself and get ready for that FET.
I’m on stim day 9 today with EC scheduled for Monday so far. I have 7 one side and 6 on the other - all of various sizes. I hope to god we get some eggs out of them. Lining is looking good aswell at 9mm. Back in tomorrow morning for a scan. It’s nerve racking now - I was going ok until now!

Thanks Lily, your numbers are great, is that better than last time? The short protocol goes past so quickly doesn’t it. Hope tomorrow’s scan goes well.

I’m so glad we have our frozen one it’s making this process so much more bearable. I’ve taken rest of week off work and I have a holiday in a few weeks so things to look forward to.

Better than last time but then I know how things can change! It’s not dramatically different but I do feel more tender this time round. I feel different so can only be a good thing x

An update from me - EC was yesterday. They got 10 eggs, 7 were mature and 6 of those fertilised. Pleased with numbers - just hoping tomorrow they are still ok.
We have paid for the embryo scope so they get to stay snug in an incubator being filmed :)

Thanks Ash, this week was tough, Thursday would have been my 7 week scan but instead I got to do another test to double check I’ve totally miscarried, which I have. Tbh the miscarriage was the strangest yet (my third) hardly any bleeding and very little cramps. Usually I cramp terribly during my period I have to be constantly dosed up on pain relief so I was scared it hadn’t happened properly. Looking forward to my follow consultation so see what they suggest next I feel I’m running out of time.

It all went ok. Out of those 6 only 3 were ok at day 2. At day 3 they were going strong so they pushed them to day 5. And I transfer one top quality blasto yesterday. Waiting to hear on my second early blast. The third was lagging behind.
I cannot believe I made it this far. I didn’t think that I would esp after being told I had to use Donor Eggs for this cycle. I know it may not work but for now I’m enjoying being PUPO!

That’s great news Lily, I hope your other blasts can be frozen and the next 10 days or so pass quickly for you.

Looks like my system has sprung back into action, did an ovulation test this morning and got a reasonably strong line not quite a positive yet but not far off. Didn’t think that would happen so quick as I only finished miscarrying about a week ago. Definitely gonna try naturally whilst waiting for the FET.

Didn’t get to freeze any unfortunately.
One made it to blast but not freezable and the other only made it to 9 cell so was lagging behind. It does make it hard focusing on this one inside in case it doesn’t work - but that’s life and I didn’t think I’d get a blastocyst at all!!

It is Friday but I bled out since 8dp5dt with bfn tests so it failed
Beyond sad at the moment x
