FET Sept/Oct

Hi ladies,
I am due to start an FET in Sept/Oct and wondered if anyone else was too?! Had my first cycle of IVF in August but due to fluid in my uterus and thin lining had to freeze everything. I seem to always have fluid mid cycle, including natural cycles. Very worried that it will always be a problem and will never get to use my embryos. Having a hysteroscopy the week after next to check incase anything in there but doc suspects not. Would be great to have a few buddies! xxx

Usually I'm on my phone so a bit hit and miss with personals but I've just had a chance to catch up.

HelloMist I remember you from other threads as well. So sorry for your loss. How are you doing?

Banana thanks for the advice on the stimming doses, the proof will be the quality of the eggs/embryos this week. Good luck with your test, I hope they provide useful info for your treatment.

Bear milestones are hard aren't they. Hope you've had a gentle day today. I didn't have any pain after my scratch, but then I didn't find the procedure painful at all, and I know many do.

Lolly I'm the same as you with progesterone, bunged up and bloated. However due to my cervix issues I would probably have to take it throughout any pregnancy so I will try not to moan. I can't believe you're getting regular pregnancy updates though, can you make it stop, or are you ok with it? Good luck finding a party outfit. Is that momentous enough to keep you distracted during your 2ww?!

I've got a few dates coming up, EC tomorrow as you know, ET on Thursday or Saturday (hopefully we'll have a 5 day blast so the latter ideally), and it's my baby's due date on 21st, a week tomorrow, so hoping to escape with DH for a few days after ET.

Lolly2803 · 13/11/2016 18:53

Blue my friends and family have no idea we are trying let alone having IVF etc. We told our parents and swore them to secrecy so I can't really make it stop but I don't mind that much really...
That's good you've got some plans to get through the tough dates. A change of scenery i am sure will do you good. Although will be tough regardless. How are you feeling about EC? Let us know how you get on. Do you feel ready to pop?!
I am not having a party thankfully, managed to talk my family out of arranging one. I'm going for a nice meal instead but still want something to wear! I only have till Saturday to wait so work will keep me distracted! Going back tomorrow. xxx

Yep it's tricky but I am v lucky to have our girl, and we've been busy with her all day keeping distracted. Xx

csa26 · 13/11/2016 21:42

Blue - best of luck for tomorrow!

Bear - I hope your lovely little girl and OH have been giving you lots of hugs today, it must be so hard especially with your friends. Hopefully it will go well on Wed and you'll soon have happier things to think about!

Lolly praying for a big fat positive for you on Sat!

Good luck blue!! X

Blueroses99 · 14/11/2016 13:18

There were 16 eggs! I'm not going to get too excited until I know the number that are mature and fertilised. I've had more than 50% being immature before, and I'm really hoping the slower dosage will help improve that. (First cycle 13 eggs, 7 mature, 5 fertilised, no blastocysts. Second cycle 24 eggs (!!), 9 mature, 6 fertilised, 3 blastocysts of which 2 transferred leading to 1 pregnancy, and the other not frozen due to poor quality.)

I've just got home and am ready for a bit of a snooze 😴. Just as well I'm off work so I can have a few restful days.

Hope everyone is doing ok on this drizzly Monday xx

Lolly2803 · 14/11/2016 13:41

Well Done Blue! What a fantastic start! Fingers crossed for the next step! Will they call you today or tomorrow? Get lots of rest and relax now. You really must have been ready to pop! Lots of love xxx

Hi Lolly, any more interesting symptoms? Not long now until OTD!

I'm ok, still having a few weird aches and pains which I'll ask them about on Wednesday at my next scan. I've been excessively Googling (I know, I know) and convincing myself that the pain and the shorter-than-usual periods this last couple of cycles are all connected. If this cycle fails, then I'm going to get an Aquascan at my clinic, and do the Greek tests with Serum in Athens, possibly followed up with a hysteroscopy. I'm suspicious that there is something wrong with my body, after a complicated C-section and a surgically-managed miscarriage. xx

Lolly2803 · 14/11/2016 15:29

Oh no Bear?! Mention it on Weds for def and then see how you feel. A hysteroscopy is always a good idea I think. Good to know what's going on in there to rule anything untoward out.

The progesterone is making me feel shit today. My boobs are super sore. I'm so tired and didn't sleep well last night. My lower back is sore from my progesterone jabs and I feel so groggy and sickly. Had my progesterone blood test today so waiting for the results of that. Expecting them to be ok given how crap I feel! But if by some miracle it's worked then at least it'll all be for something worth while. I'm surprisingly calm this week. I'll probably be a wreck on Saturday but for now I'm sane!! Haha

Bear2014 · 14/11/2016 15:50

Sore boobs has to be a good sign surely? I never had that even when I was pregnant but everyone else I know did.

I'm kicking myself that I've never had a hysteroscopy given everything that's gone down - reading what investigations you guys have all had, I can't actually believe that no one has suggested it. My clinic are fairly hands-off as it were, and I think you do need to push for these things. Hey ho.

Lolly2803 · 14/11/2016 17:29

Def push for it next time if this cycle doesn't go to plan. I think it's worth it just to rule anything out which was why I had mine.

My sore boobs is from the progesterone. I had it last time I did IVF and I'm on a higher dose this time so that's most likely why they feel more sore and are super veiny!

All the symptoms I have are most likely from the progesterone to be honest so I'm just ticking the days off till Sat and not reading into anything. Trying to mentally prepare for the worst while hoping for the best xx

Lolly2803 · 15/11/2016 07:46

Morning ladies! How are you all doing today? My bloods came back fine. Progesterone has gone up a bit since ET from 312 to 386. Dr seemed ok and just said carry on with meds as is.

It's tomorrow your scan isn't it Bear? You feeling ok?
How you doing today Blue? Hope you got some rest last night and aren't feeling too sore today. xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 15/11/2016 08:25

Morning Lolly - that's good about your progesterone. And I agree with your sensible approach, you never know you might be pleasantly surprised.

Blue - really hope you got lots of good fertilisation overnight!

I still have weird niggly pains in my pelvis, kind of like what you get right at the tail end of your period. It's not bothering me in the pain sense, I'm just reading far too much into it. I'm not on any meds at all so it is literally just natural, mid-cycle, nothing-going-on time. My ovulation stick was negative, unsurprising for day 9.
xx

Lolly2803 · 15/11/2016 08:41

Maybe it's just things warming up ready for ovulation? I'm sure they'll have a good look around tomorrow and let you know. ET will be getting close though surely?! Are you getting excited? How is DP doing with it all?

To be honest I don't know how to feel! I had a bit of a wimper last night (not a full on cry as think my tears have all dried up from last week!). I'd just done my clexane jab which stings like a wasp and my back was sore from the bruising from my progesterone jabs and I was moaning about being sore for potentially nothing!!
I'm really trying to mentally prepare but where's there's hope it's hard to fully let go IYKWIM.

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 15/11/2016 09:35

Maybe so. OH reckons I just don't know my body any more as there's been so much going on this year and potentially this is the first natural cycle in my body for a few months. I don't know what to think so just trying to distract myself most of the time. Transfer will probably be about 9-10 days from now I reckon.

At least you will know soon one way or the other. It's natural to have a wobble! It's such a crazy time xx

Blueroses99 · 15/11/2016 09:47

I've got 6 mature eggs, of which 5 fertilised. Less than I was hoping, and v nervous about whether any will get to blast. They will call me again tomorrow.

Lolly preparing for the worst but hoping for the best is I think a sensible way to approach this rollercoaster. Thinking sticky thoughts for you for Saturday xx

Bear good luck with the scan today. I wouldn't be surprised if your body is a bit confused xx

Lolly2803 · 15/11/2016 10:39

Well done Blue! That's amazing!! Fingers crossed they carry on! Hope you're not too sore today.

Bear, your DP is probably right. You're body probably doesn't even know what it is up to! 9/10 days isn't long to wait! How exciting!

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 15/11/2016 11:41

Blue - I know it's less than you were hoping but I'd be totally ecstatic with that. I only had one fertilise in my fresh cycle. I'm sure there are a couple of hardy ones in there xx
