FET Sept/Oct

Hi ladies,
I am due to start an FET in Sept/Oct and wondered if anyone else was too?! Had my first cycle of IVF in August but due to fluid in my uterus and thin lining had to freeze everything. I seem to always have fluid mid cycle, including natural cycles. Very worried that it will always be a problem and will never get to use my embryos. Having a hysteroscopy the week after next to check incase anything in there but doc suspects not. Would be great to have a few buddies! xxx

I still don't fully see the point of full on down regulation for FET as apparently the Progynova stops it all anyway. But plenty of people do still do it.

Good luck with the fluid!! X

Bear that's so cute! She looks adorable.

DH and I along with DSS went to ComicCon this morning. It was hilarious seeing everyone in their costumes, especially the tiny kids.

SO... I couldn't help myself and poas just now. I had a feeling it would be BFN as it's way way too early to test and it's my afternoon wee. I did it because I think it just helps me pass the time. But I got a squinter!!!! An ever so so so so so faint BFP. To the untrained eye it would look like a BFN but it was there, and it wasn't an evaporation line as it was less than 5 min.

You ladies are the first to know! I'm not even going to tell DH till a proper test is done as I don't want him to get excited... especially after my CP last month.

So while I feel a little relieved, it's not for certain that it's a proper BFP yet..!

Lolly2803 · 30/10/2016 15:35

Omg!!!! That's absolutely amazing! Eeeekkkk!!!! I'm so so so so so thrilled for you! Fantastic news!! Keep us posted as the peeing on sticks continues. Sending you a big over excited hug xxxx

Wooohoo Again, that is amazeballs!! Let's hope it continues to get darker and darker Smile xx

csa26 · 30/10/2016 19:56

Hello guys, may I join the thread? I had my first embryo transfer on Friday 21st Oct (egg collection on Tue 18th). So I'm now 9 days post-transfer.

Again: massive congratulations on your positive! Smile

I cracked at only 7dpo4dpt and bought a twin-pack of tests - BFN so I tried again the next day with first morning pee - still BFN. Tried again today and the same Sad

My clinic told me to do the test on Thurs, but I'm kind of resigning myself to the fact our little embryo must have failed. What do you guys think? I agree with an earlier post, it really doesn't help when the progesterone is giving me pregnancy symptoms, friends with babies say "you must be pregnant, you have sore boobs etc" but I know it's just the progesterone Sad

It's really hard not to get obsessive about it isn't it? I've been so desperate I spent the last 3 days digging our garden over to take my mind off it Hmm

P.S. I'm SE London...

AgainPlease · 30/10/2016 20:15

Hi csa! Another Londoner - can't believe we are all so close to each other.

Try not to fret about testing before OTD and getting BFNs. In my first pregnancy (also IVF) I tested a few times before OTD and was still getting very solid BFNs even up till the second last day. I finally got a faint positive on the day before OTD.

My clinic also says not to be too upset if you get BFN on OTD as hcg levels could still be too low to be picked up on HPT.

If it helps, we conceived naturally last month resulting in a chem pregnancy but my early symptoms were pretty much bang-on what they were like in my first pregnancy, so it can't all be down to progesterone :)

AgainPlease · 30/10/2016 21:15

So I've been googling and i think my faint positive may be the result of leftover hcg from my trigger shot??

Urgh. The wait is killing me.

csa26 · 30/10/2016 21:46

Oh no Again, that must be gutting after getting all excited Sad.

Thanks for your message, I'm trying not to worry about it too much. Especially because I've been drinking a lot of water so my wee must be pretty dilute (tmi: go before I go to bed, wake up at 5-6am needing to go, go again when I get up properly a couple of hours later...)

The wait is driving me a bit bananas. Thing with IVF is by the time you get to this stage you've been waiting a blimmin long time already!

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 09:44

Hang in there ladies! It's still early so your BFPs could still be yet to come. You're right the waiting is an absolute killer! I found the time between my IVF cycle and FET absolute torture! Haven't experienced a tww yet from IVF so I'm sure that will drive me crazy as well!

I'm back at the clinic later this afternoon for s lining check after a week on increased meds. I'm SO nervous!! Desperately hoping for no fluid and my lining to be nice and thick. Might also have the Neupogen wash today but who knows. I'll have been on the meds for 14 days now - any idea what my lining should be at? Won't be getting much work done today that's for sure! xxx

Bear2014 · 31/10/2016 10:31

Hi ladies, aargh Again hang in there. It's impossible to tell and that's why they have an OTD but I won't harp on about early testing as I'm the worst offender there is.

CSA - welcome! hope you're feeling a bit calmer today. It really is the worst. Have you done a fresh cycle? Is it your first one? They say 9 days past 5 day transfer for an accurate result but I would take any result with a pinch of salt until your OTD. Do you have any frosties left over?

I'm gearing up for my scratch this afternoon, weirdly looking forward to it as I hate the waiting between tries. Clearly, I am a glutton for punishment.

Lolly - I would hope for 8.5 but I'm sure they'll be able to advise you how you are getting on. Fingers crossed no fluid!

xx

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 12:21

Good Luck Bear! It'll be fine don't worry, I was excited for mine too as it was like the start of treatment! I bled a bit after so bring a pad with you. Let us know how you get on!

I'll keep you all posted on lining and fluid - think thick!! xxxx

Hello ladies, thanks for the welcome - wish I'd joined this thread weeks ago! It's been so hard as hubby doesn't talk about these things AT ALL so for ages no-one even knew we were having problems... My parents figured it out a few months ago and I cracked recently and told 2 friends but that's it.

ANYWAY. I decided to try with non-FMU today as I've been drinking a lot of water in the evenings (probably to compensate for not being able to drink gin Wink) so my morning wee is pretty dilute. I wanted to add a photo for confirmation before I tell hubby but it looks like a faint positive...

Bear, good luck for this afternoon xx

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 13:01

Oh csa that's amazing news!!! I can't see your pic but feel free to upload. So pleased for you! I know what it's like to feel alone at these times as my parents and OH are the only ones who know what we are going through. Haven't told a soul and I'm super close to my siblings so it's difficult. Although nobody understands apart from people on here so I'm not sure telling anyone else would have benefited me in any way! We have a lovely thread on here and are here when you need us xxxx

csa26 · 31/10/2016 13:10

I can't figure out how to upload! I sent the pic to hubby and in his office lighting he couldn't see the line! Then when I spoke to him he said "but it's early right, so there's still a chance it could be wrong?" Clearly he hasn't been obsessively googling info like I have ;-)

I keep looking at the picture on my phone again to make sure it's real - the line is faint but I am positive it's there...

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 13:39

When you reply there should be a safety pin icon I think you use that to upload pics? I'm sure you're not imagining it! xx

Aha! It shows up on a phone but not on a computer! Pleeeeease tell me I'm not imagining things...

Hooray csa! Definitely a BFP!!

csa26 · 31/10/2016 16:51

Blush guys... thank you so much. I really had convinced myself that we'd lost this one - took a test yesterday first thing which was negative, tummy had been cramping since yesterday which I thought must be getting ready to shed the lining since it seemed way too late for anything else. Then this am boobs weren't sore anymore so I decided that must be it. So I'm still wrapping my head around it, I don't think I would have believed the result without you guys telling me it was real!

csa26 · 31/10/2016 16:53

Bear, how did it go for you this afternoon?

Bear2014 · 31/10/2016 17:21

Ouchy ouch! Wasn't nice but i'm fine now, thanks. Lolly how was your appointment?

Lolly2803 · 31/10/2016 18:46

Yer it's a bit uncomfortable.
My appointment didn't go well. Guess that's what happens when you get your hopes up a bit!
The fluid was back and my lining went from 5.9mm to 6.1mm despite the increased meds. She did the Neupogen wash tonight and drained the fluid that was there. Have to go back on Thursday for another Neupogen wash and scan to see my lining.
If this doesn't work there isn't anything else they can do for me apparently. It's either try again every cycle and hope and pray the fluid isn't there and my lining thickens or they'll be no getting pregnant for me.

Bear2014 · 31/10/2016 18:56

Oh I'm sorry Lolly - how disappointing and frustrating :o( I really hope this wash works for you. It's all very unfair isn't it xxxx

Bear2014 · 31/10/2016 18:56

That was supposed to be a sad face!
