Aussie how are you hun?

Frank85 · 26/07/2015 09:32

News from me, having the progesterone injections and my levels have rising - had a blood test on friday and Im still pregnant! Really thought after all that bleeding I wouldn't be, but feeling very sick mid morning everyday never thought I would be so happy to retch !
Can book in for my 1st scan after the 12th aug
Not sure when I can stop all the meds..... Currently still on the clexane, cycolest pessaries, progesterone injections and tablets anyone know?
Thanks Smile

chopsface · 26/07/2015 11:02

I'd give your clinic a call tomorrow morning to ask about your meds frank congrats on the retching Hmm !! I have 24 hour nausea, still at 20 weeks, and I'm now anaemic. Oh the joys! But hey ho! I'm getting a baby!!

Frank85 · 26/07/2015 11:14

Got another blood test on weds to see how the levels are going might need the bum injections for another two months Hmm are u on anything still? When did u stop the pessaries after u had a positive result?

Shellster52 · 26/07/2015 12:55

What is Clexane for Frank? And cyclogest is progesterone right? So you are doing progesterone pessaries as well as progesterone injections?

I'm doing progesterone pessaries and 2mg estrogen tablets twice daily. My clinic only gave me enough progesterone for the 2ww and then I was to stop after the pregnancy blood test regardless if it was positive or not. But most others seem to keep on it until 12 weeks and I think my clinic is just being tight, so I brought my own supply to keep me going until then. Must be reassuring to see your numbers rising. Amazing that after all that blood one embryo managed to cling on! I had two transferred and no bleeding at all. I have an ultrasound on 8th August so I shall see then.

Sorry to hear your still nauseous and amaemic chops. Are you taking any prenatal tablet with iron? Not that it will do any good if it's all coming back up!

Frank85 · 26/07/2015 13:02

Clexane is to treat my high NK levels
Yes on the pessaries and injections, yeah was quite shocked when they said I was still pregnant it could be that one embryo was coming away or just could be my hormone drop that caused it also
Clinic said they can survive a bleed bit of a rough start!
Dont know how I will get thou the next 7 weeks! Im a wreck!

aussie82 · 26/07/2015 17:05

hi ladies, im still alive! lol gosh, been at my clinic everyday and its def. kept me busy! i started keeping a track of how much ive spent to date on the treatment but now too scared and will only look after all this is finished lol

this thread seems to be full of happy endings now so hoping it rubs on to me and sammy soon :)

im taking my trigger tonight and EC on tuesday morning ... i'm feeling so anxious already! cant wait to get this all done with!

btw are any medications given for after EC? i know after ET the pessaries come in right?

xxx

loopylou1984 · 26/07/2015 17:17

Eek Aussie, it's getting close!

The pessaries started on the evening of egg collection for me. No other medicines, we'll not until I got the cabergoline for my OHSS anyway.

I hope the good luck carries on for us, I'm not sure how I will cope with a failed round. Xx

frank it's reassuring that you are being treated for NK cells. A 'friend' of mine (online) has had multiple mc's from NK cells. Something ridiculous like 8 mc's. But because she lives in Wales she has waited years for a referral.

Good luck on Tuesday Aussie

shell it's just nausea I've mostly had so I keep everything in :-) it's just quite horrible having the sicky feeling 24/7. Like having an all day hangover for months! Could be a darn sight worse though!

Shellster52 · 27/07/2015 00:50

I started the progesterone pessaries the day after egg collection aussie. Also, my clinic does not prescribe estrogen as standard, but I read a study saying that women who are poor responders to the IVF medication had a much higher success rate when they took estrogen after EC. So I tried that for the last time too when I got my BFP.

I remember that nauseous feeling chops. Almost just preferred to throw up and get it over with rather than the continual sick feeling. Have you been taking any pre natal with iron, or is it just the constant nauseous feeling that is stopping you from eating the right foods to cause your anaemia?

Watching several people around me fall pregnant while I struggled and felt quite jealous and resentful, I feel determined that I am going to have one up on them and have a perfectly healthy baby, so I am eating extremely healthy... might all change when morning sickness kicks in though!

RubySlippers77 · 27/07/2015 06:31

Hi everyone - MN is playing up a bit and I can't read the whole thread, but just wanted to say a big congratulations to Shell and Frank!! You must both be thrilled!

Good luck to Sammy and Aussie as well, we will be thinking of you both Smile

I know the hangover feeling chops, luckily I don't get it so often any more, although I do need to eat really regularly otherwise I get sick and dizzy. Was at a friend's this weekend and everyone else sat around drinking prosecco….. I just looked at the bottle sadly and longingly!

chopsface · 27/07/2015 07:03

It must be hard work brewing twins ruby! Glad you're not feeling so ill now. How many weeks are you now?

shell I've been eating fairly bad, probably causing the anaemia. I had all good intentions to be healthy too but it's impossible whilst feeling sick. I was taking prenatal vits but not every day as they were so big they made me gag! On the days I didn't take them I just took a separate folic acid pill. I've now been prescribed a months worth of iron tablets.

Hope your bloods were good shell x

chopsface · 27/07/2015 19:01

20 week scan went amazingly! All bits present and correct, including boy bits!! Shock I'm having a son!!

loopylou1984 · 27/07/2015 20:47

Chops!! A boy!!! Congratulations SmileSmileSmile
How exciting! Xx

OP posts:
RubySlippers77 · 27/07/2015 22:58

Congratulations on your little boy chops!! Any ideas for names yet?

I'm 27 weeks now with twins and keep getting asked when I'm due. Yep, I'm so big that people think I'm already full term! Which is fine (and apparently normal for twins) but doesn't help me when I'm trying to get dressed, as lots of my (maternity!) clothes don't fit any more...

chopsface · 28/07/2015 06:47

Good luck for EC todayAussie!!

Do you know what sex your twins are ruby? How's the blood pressure too?

No news on shells bloods? Confused

Did you have a scan sammy I forgot when it was Blush

loopylou1984 · 28/07/2015 07:02

Good luck Aussie!!

Ruby - eeek, you must be so uncomfortable! Still, it'll be worth it when you're holding those twins Smile

Yes I have a scan today, I think it's just to check everything has gone back to normal. But fx I should get a bit more of an idea of when we can think about ET! Xx

OP posts:
chopsface · 28/07/2015 07:31

Do you feel well now sammy?

loopylou1984 · 28/07/2015 07:43

Yes, I feel completely fine now, even went back to my exercise class yesterday!
I just hope everything is healed inside :). Xx

Will update properly later, but just had my scan and one ovary is still enlarged with free fluid so they said no to FET next cycle. Now means we're looking at the end of September for drugs with transfer the 1st week of October ????
Feeling very teary now and have to go back to work.

OP posts:
chopsface · 28/07/2015 10:28

Sorry to hear that sammy :-( big hugs x

Shellster52 · 28/07/2015 13:45

Chops, my eyes welded up with tears for you when you said you're having a son. The term 'my son' meaning you are officially a Mum after all the crap you've been through to get there.

I got my blood results today chops. It was 390 at 4 weeks and 2 days. Then yesterdays blood taken at 5 weeks and 2 days was 7506. Trying to work out from that if it is a single pregnancy or twins but getting confused!?!? Scan is 10th August so that will reveal all, but I just wanted to get an idea. Do you have any idea how your levels rose in the early days Ruby? I can imagine you must be expanding rapidly with two instead of one! Keep up the stretch mark cream!!!! So when are you actually due? Is it still 40 weeks as I have it in my head that twins always come early and the due date is earlier?

Shellster52 · 28/07/2015 13:45

sammy, didn't mean to ignore you and your disappointing news. Just replied to you on the other thread. xox

chopsface · 28/07/2015 16:56

Brilliant news on your bloods shell!

My eyes might have leaked a bit at my news too Blush x
