Would you be my Infertility/Clomid/Follicle tracking friend please?!

Hi there ladies

I’m really looking for a ‘clomid friend’ or ‘infertility pal’!

I’m 30, DH is 38. I came off the pill July 2013 to regulate my cycles and ended 15yrs of antidepressants in March 2014 as I’d read that was the best plan if possible.

I’d been having regular 27/30day cycles since I came off the pill but after no positive tests, buying OPKs and the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor, plus charting temps and monitoring my cervix and mucus it quickly became apparent that I wasn’t ovulating. After all the blood tests, sperm analysis, trans-vaginal scans and the HSG it showed that he was fine but I wasn’t ovulating, but there was not obvious reason why.

Fast forward to now, 2yrs since coming off the pill, I have been prescribed clomid and have taken my first 5 tablets. I’m day 12 today and have been having follicle tracking to check if the drugs have worked. My largest follicle was 16.4mm today and have to go back on Wednesday to check it again.

Do any of you know if that’s a good size? Or have any experiences of being further down the clomid path? Or are you in a similar position? I just feel like I’m going out of my mind and could really use a buddy!

Banana - As I've said a hundred times over the past 24 hours, I am so unbelievably sorry for what has happened. Everyone on this thread (and everyone on the other threads I'm sure) is here to listen and talk and do whatever we can. As Lily said, life is so cruel .

Lily - Although I hope you instadiff this month, it's good that you have an appointment this week and you can hopefully start planning 'next steps'. I know IVF is bloody awful, but at least you'd feel like you were doing SOMETHING a bit different. Let us know how you get on.

I don't know where I stand at all after being in surgery for a potential ectopic pregnancy 2 days ago. Out of hospital with no ectopic found but there's a sac in my uterus which looks empty. Scan in two weeks to find out what's going on and repeat preggo hormone bloods later. Either way I won't be getting amother ERPC for this one. Three operations in 4 months is enough for me!

science 3 ops on months is enough for a lifetime for most people! But I hope it won't come to that...!

Banana hope you are ok. Oh science.. You poor thing.. I hope you are ok? Keep faith that there will be a little flicker in the sack in your next scan.. I have my fingers and toes crossed for u!

I went for some swabs at GP yesterday, told her my period was 22 day cycle last month and 20 day this month. She said it's scientifically unlikely I'll get pregnant with this cycle length. I've started my clomide tablets today so keeping my fingers crossed that it makes them abit longer. Feel extremely deflated.

I'm ok thanks guys. No bleeding and my wounds are healing now, I'm supposed to be 5+6 today. I think my ovary must be deflating as that's a lot less painful now and I can move about again. Back to work on Wednesday, thought I'd better show up for the last two days of term!

Just got to wait until the scan on the 1st now....April Fools' Day!

Try not to feel deflated Honey, you're getting help and that's fab. You're on the road to a baby!

I had my second scan yesterday on cd16 there was only one follicle 13mm and I normally ovulate on day 19-20 so I'm not holding up for it. Hoping I can now go back to my GP and say up my dose!!

Aw u poor thing, keep hydrated, I've heard ginger helps?? Try yo drink surgery drinks like ribena, will help keep ur energy levels up and lots of rest. 💐💐

I'm ok, have my blood today, so depending on the results in going to plead to put the dose up. What dose were u on?

I was just on 50mg, days 2-6. Had tracking first month and ovulated all five months I took it. Got my BFPs month 3 and 5 with my MMC in between. I only made the EWCM on month 3 and used preseed for month 5. I felt that was really important, otherwise the sperm can die in the acidic environment of the vagina. We DTD every day for 4-5 days over the fertile period and knew when I ovulated by using my Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor.

Thanks 😀😀 that's great you ovulated and te cbfm picked it up, the problem in having is, i used to ovulate most months, since on the clomide (on the 4th cycle) I've only ovulated once which was detected by the cbfm and confirmed with the blood tests. Don't really know what to do as my follicle was only 1.3 on cd16 this month too. In hoping she'll put me up to achieve ovulation, but only two months left 👎🏼

We'd been try #1 12mths last sept then ref to hosp had full battery of tests hycosy etc no reason found. Given 3 cycles clomid just started cycle 3 now as particularly vicious af arrived yesterday.
Don't want to make a scene over it so only told mum and bestie. How do you all go on with work etc for hosp appts when you don't want ppl 2 no where you're going? (Have to take a whole day as nearest hosp 2hrs away)
Married to dh for 2yr and seems like everyone who got married after us has a bump/baby now!!!

Mandymoodoutoftheblue. It's my first tablet today on 100 so none yet but I'm on metfirmin this month.. I was on 500mg for 1 week and now up to 1000 mg. I feel sooooooooooo sick! I really don't know if I can cope with this all day :< what side effects have you experienced on 100mg?
