No

Still conference started at 8 so before all this kicked off, so I'm sure he is okay.

Would just be a bit happier to have my optimism confirmed!

CountessDracula · 07/07/2005 11:48

Hi just checking in am fine

Feeling awful as one of my colleagues who was on her last week of maternity leave was on one of the tubes. She is ok but very shaken. Just hope it doesn't have any bad effect.

I am in Plantation Place not far from Aldgate East, lots of helicopters et.c
Hope everyone else is ok xxx

Blu · 07/07/2005 11:48

I am pretty sure MotherInferior is in Normandy.

OP posts:
marthamoo · 07/07/2005 11:51

Of course, I forgot she was in France. Good.

binkie · 07/07/2005 11:52

marthamoo, I think MI is in France atm (holiday in Normandy). Knowing her she'll be desperate to know everyone here is OK - perhaps someone who has a mobile no. for her could call when coverage is back on

binkie · 07/07/2005 11:53

I can't concentrate on work at all.

Marina · 07/07/2005 11:56

We've just heard our colleague is OK
Evacuated to a school in the East End after two hours stuck on a tube. Hoping this turns out to be the case for all the AWOL people on Mumsnet today...

Marina · 07/07/2005 11:56

Neither can I KBear...

HandbagAddiction · 07/07/2005 11:58

I'm having huge problems trying to focus on anything work related right now!

charleepeters · 07/07/2005 12:02

Thinking of everyone who is

munz · 07/07/2005 12:02

not in london but family r, does any one know if hounslow area's effected, and the city records in central london tried textin SIL but no responce - is there any lists yet? is there any named dead?

((hugs)) to everyone.

binkie · 07/07/2005 12:03

Thank goodness about your colleague Marina.

My dear bro (who comes through L'pool St) is fine too.

Has anyone's fingers only just started to shake a bit while typing?

Marina · 07/07/2005 12:05

Hounslow not affected as far as I know, munz. What do you mean by City Records? I am near Corporation of London Records Office and London Metropolitan Archives and they are both fine as far as I know, although transport is at a standstill in the EC area.
National Records Office at Kew is well away from the current hot-spots.

Marina · 07/07/2005 12:07

Binkie, glad your brother is fine. My sis uses the met line but is off work today and even if called in (works for the BBC) could not get there.
I thought I was fine-ish until we finally heard from colleague and then I burst into tears.
He is a six-foot-three Norwegian electronic musician and well able to take care of himself normally

PiccadillyCircus · 07/07/2005 12:07

Me neither (to the being able to work thing).
As I live in Bedfordshire, am resigning myself to not getting home for a long time .

Home is about 45 miles away. But DH is working from home (he normally works in London as well) so DS can be picked up.
