I think that's the LMA.

If you can give me her name (CAT me if you want) we share the same e-mail server and I can find out if she is OK?

FrumpyGrumpy · 07/07/2005 12:11

Don't usually post here (usually on multiples) but feeling sick. My DP works in Liverpool St. (We live in Scotland) He called me to say he's ok at 10am after a mad, shaky, panicky, tearful half hour. He can't get home tonight. I have a four year old and 11 month old baby twins. This has put me so on edge I can't concentrate. He is in his office and my mind is doing overttime about further explosions. Tell me I'm been silly and overreacting and to pull myself together.

We're in Switzerland as you know but dh's eldest daughters live in Earl's Court. both are fine, just spoke to the younger dd, although elder dd is at work in Zone 2. She is planning to take the bus home after work. Very worried. Please MNers, all of you, let us know you're okay!

whymummy · 07/07/2005 12:14

hope you're all safe
xxxx

binkie · 07/07/2005 12:14

frumpy, if he is in his office he is very likely completely safe. I am in my office (near Barbican, so not far from L'pool St) and it is peaceful and almost ordinary. We are being told not to leave our offices, so it's not clear yet what we should do about going home, but while he is at work your dh should be fine. Hope that helps.

Blu · 07/07/2005 12:15

FG you are not at all being silly.
But now that the emergency services, and the army, have taken over Central and E alondon, your DH will be ABSOLUTELY fine if he stays put until the all clear is given. Hold tight, look after your darling babies, and don't expect to hear much from your DH as mobiles and lanslines are petty much down. But e mail seems to be working.

still waiting to hear from sisters husband. Mobile not working and now have sent email. he would have been on Victoria line train this morning. sister is terrified.

FrumpyGrumpy · 07/07/2005 12:19

Thanks girls. We lost a friend some years ago in similar circumstances and its brought it all back. Just feeling shaky. Trying not to watch TV! Think you should give up hope of getting anything done and meet up together for wine and a blether. Company always better eh. Can't get to pc much with kids everywhere but will pop in and out. Aren't you a lovely bunch, pulling together to share walks and collect kids. So glad most of the world loves the rest.

munz · 07/07/2005 12:19

marinada - it's kirsty brown she's 24 I'm so worried,

thanks if you can get hold of her for me, i'll try to ring on my lunch break but thank you so much.

FrumpyGrumpy · 07/07/2005 12:21

Gona get positive vibes out and send them all your way.

cutekids · 07/07/2005 12:21

not in London myself but hubbie works in there quite frequently. he's actually due to go back next week. hope you are all ok.

Marina · 07/07/2005 12:24

munz, it must be Kew (NRO) as she is not listed on my e-mail directory for the other two records offices. I am sure she is fine if she lives/works in Central London.

Marina · 07/07/2005 12:25

WEST London, sorry. Badly panicked by stuff on other threads about anyone still stuck in central London a sitting duck for "phase two". Not helpful.

munz · 07/07/2005 12:30

jesus christ, she's not new she's been there for about 2 years, i'm gonna try to call her house later on to see if her mum's heard anything, to cap it off my cousin works in one of the big banks up there not sure which one of where just know it's central.

MIL's just said FIL is on his way to canarey walfe (sp) but he's ok.

((((hugs to all))))

munz · 07/07/2005 12:31

thanks anyways for ur help.

Lizzylou · 07/07/2005 12:31

LisaLisa, my brother lives in Balham, he's home now (I know thats nowhere near you) but his friends who are stuck in the city are walking home, in the hope that they can pick up a cab en route...Could you try this? Do you have anyone who could walk with you?
Please try and keep calm, am thinking of you and everyone in London xxx

Senior partner has just sent a note round saying provisions are being made for us to stay in the office tonight if we need to - blankets and food are being brought on site.

Still no contact from DH

Robson Rhodes - based right next to Moorfields eye hospital.

Have also been told that those of us who can make it home on foot should not leave until they are advised that it is safe to do so?????????????

And those that do eventually make it home, should not attempt to come into the office tomorrow!
