150 seriously injured over all according to itv

Springchicken · 07/07/2005 13:16

Client just called our offices - their offices are where the Bus Bomb was. she saw the exploded bus out of their office windows. She said it was horrific, the scariest things she has ever witnessed.

God, the nightmares these people will have

NomDePlume · 07/07/2005 13:16

Blu, that is great .

Sadly, I suspect you're right Hercules... In fact I was dropping DD off at nursery about an hour ago (prior to hearing that DH was on his way to Oxford, safely), and me and the other parents were queueing in the corridor waiting to get into nursery. One of the people in the queue was a grandmother dropping her GS off, the nursery manager came out and was talking about how awful all this is, when the grandmother pipes up.... "Oh well, if they will keep letting these asylum seekers in, what do they expect ?!' . I nearly bit my tongue off in a bid to stop myself from biting the old baggage's head clean off.....

hercules · 07/07/2005 13:17

They suspect it's people either born here or been here a long time.

Fimbo · 07/07/2005 13:18

Do you think we should start a new thread entitled - UPDATES or something for people who need info and don't have access to TV's etc, as this thread is getting longer and longer?

jayzmummy · 07/07/2005 13:18

Number of fatalities and injuries at Edgware station. No numbers yet released. circle train heading south.

NomDePlume · 07/07/2005 13:18

That won't stop the likes of her pointing the finger though.

jayzmummy · 07/07/2005 13:19

St Marys hospital for all major injuries.
Hilton Hotel for minor injuries.

foxinsocks · 07/07/2005 13:19

it's just so cowardly isn't it? bombing innocent people.....that's all I can think really, what cowards they are

dizzymama · 07/07/2005 13:19

Blair returning to lOndon now

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 13:19

have just texted friend who has been in croydon and she says it is being evacuated

Ladymuck · 07/07/2005 13:20

I spoke too soon about Croydon - apprently all public trasnport (tram/bus/train) has been suspended. Shops still open but you have to get in on foot.

FlounceyFlossam · 07/07/2005 13:20

Where in Croyden?

RTKangaMummy · 07/07/2005 13:20

Yes but even primary children who therefore have more understanding

DS is now 10 and his best friend's MUM goes on the train to London

Have no idea which station though but he will know

I just don't think there is any need to tell the children while they are at school

And what about all of thiose on here whose mums and dads work in the city

The primary children will understand where their parents work and what train they go on etc.

Senior children may havre more understsanding and ALSO have mobiles with them at school

I just don't think it ios the schools place to tell the children

can anyone reassure me that the MUMSNETTERS meeting up today at the Royal Accademy are no where near this.?

mafalda1 · 07/07/2005 13:21

For those of you that donn't know the city, it is always on the go, people going to and fro. But now it looks like no one is around completly deserted, everyone that is there is staying inside. They have managed to cause as much Chaos as possible. No underground, no buses in in zone one and only waterloo train station running a service. Trains being sent back with pasangers from where they came.
We must all remember not to let violence stop the good work that is being done out there.

yingers74 · 07/07/2005 13:21

the whole thing about a suicide bomber is terrifiying. I just cannot believe it has happened. i have been checking up on friends/fam who I know work in central london. Thankfully they are all fine.

almostanangel · 07/07/2005 13:23

ohh they have said congestion charge is cancelled today....................how thoughtful of them!!!!!!!!!!

NomDePlume · 07/07/2005 13:23

RTKM, I also agree that there is no need to inform kids at school. Unnecessarily distressing, especially when we don't know the facts re who is safe and who isn't and when people are likely to be allowed to make their way home to their families.

crumpet · 07/07/2005 13:24

In case anyone is looking at transport options there are still at least some trains out of Waterloo - fil is on one from Waterloo to Reading

NomDePlume · 07/07/2005 13:25

Yes crumpet, my DH got on one from Paddington to Oxford, so they are still running

kid · 07/07/2005 13:26

Does anyone know how people can get from Tottenham Court road to East London?

jayzmummy · 07/07/2005 13:26

Springchicken · 07/07/2005 13:26
