grrrrrrr cheapo journalism at it's best.

CMOTdibbler · 20/08/2009 08:35

Glad to see that Leah has substituted in fake usernames and reworded. I don't object to this one at all

lepirate · 20/08/2009 08:37

thought i didn't recognise any names.

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 20/08/2009 08:38

actually I'm very very happy with that

harleyd · 20/08/2009 08:40

what?
mn in the dm?
omg

LesbianCommunistImmigrantPaedo · 20/08/2009 08:43

Well they've shortened poster's names so they're not recognisable - must have taken a whole minute longer to write than last week's. And doesn't the thread as 'reported' seem to fall neatly into the dm's 'nanny state gorn mad' agenda? I remain disgusted by this whole thing.

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 20/08/2009 08:44

As long as the names aren't recognisable (which they're not unless somehow she managed to pick a thread full of posters I happen not to have heard of) and she sticks to lucnhboxes / style / topics like that then I don't have a problem with it. I know it's the DM but advertising is advertising and it's not exactly the BNP newsletter.

KeepPassingTheOpenWindows · 20/08/2009 08:45

She's not very imaginative with the names though, is she? Hands up who is Snooky?

KeepPassingTheOpenWindows · 20/08/2009 08:47

It makes Mumsnet seem very dull though, that all we get worked up about is sandwich fillings....

GibbonInARibbon · 20/08/2009 08:49

Not so bad. I wonder if this column will attract more DM readers to MN?

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 20/08/2009 08:51

I wish I could land an easy job like that!

BumperliciousVsTheDailyHate · 20/08/2009 08:57

What an anodyne representation of mumsnet. Hope it was worth it.

LevitatingCopy · 20/08/2009 09:12

Truly meh-worthy, almost impressively so actually.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/08/2009 09:34

It is just incredibly boring - how on earth can she justify getting paid for lifting other people's words? Bizarre.

If she is going to change names though then I've got no issue with it - although it sticks in my throat to think that MN are associated with a paper as bad as the DM.

LoveBeingAMummy · 20/08/2009 09:39

Shame the posts had nothing to do with the headline though!

letsgostrawberrypicking · 20/08/2009 09:39

Wow how many years at Uni did she do to learn to cut and paste other people's words? What a boring article!

msrisotto · 20/08/2009 09:39

dull, barely worth a blah

JackBauer · 20/08/2009 09:52

The best bit about the whole thing is the comment from 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells'

DailyMailCanLickMyBalls · 20/08/2009 09:53

I like how Stella from Tunbridge Wells has decided from that thread that your children will turn into benefits cheats, although come to think of it, it seems such an extreme reaction, it might be a MN troll playing devil's advocate. Hmmm...I might sign up to DM comments and play too.

LuluMaman · 20/08/2009 09:57

meh

JackBauer · 20/08/2009 09:58

Trolling on DM comment page? Damn fine idea!

SoupDragon · 20/08/2009 09:59

Clearly it's a sweetener. There is no way such dire drivel would have been passed as fit for publication otherwise.

shootfromthehip · 20/08/2009 10:00

DMCLMB, I actually LOL at Stella's comment. Hysterical. Literally.

I had no idea that my DD would end up in jail (paraphrasing) for having a cheese sandwich everyday. May as well go out and spend the Uni fund on silly shoes then as my pandering to her makes the need for it defunct. Jimmy Choo here I come

shootfromthehip · 20/08/2009 10:01

Are we going to troll enmasse?

Barbara from Edinburgh?

Katisha · 20/08/2009 10:01

Stella has brilliantly done a DM send-up. It's definitely superior trollage!

Come on - which of you was it?
