How entertaining this is. I should be putting washing away but weighing up the options (eg housework or taking the piss out of the Daily Fail), it doesn't feel like there is much of a choice.

Do think that the ghost of Dail Mail Readers past may have inhabited my body when writing that post though as it is spookily close to the sort of thing you'd see there anyway. .

UnquietDad · 20/08/2009 13:32

The changing of the names changes nothing, surely. What people are worried about, as far as I can tell, is the rehashing of situations with friends or aged parents etc. which they can be confident wouldn't be read about here, but they don't want in a national newspaper as someone might say "OMG that's so-and-so, moaning about ME, I said that to her just last week." Nobody will recognise the pseudonym, but they will recognise the situation.

Katisha · 20/08/2009 13:38

I think I see what you did with the cut n'paste there xesmub...

fishflange · 20/08/2009 13:39

I laughed so hard I was glad I was wearing my tena lady

Just been through the rigmarole of adding a comment, after all that box ticking they better put it in!

Washersaurus · 20/08/2009 13:39

Oh my message was moderated - they took off how bread and butter sandwiches at school led my brother to a life of crime and drug abuse.

fishflange · 20/08/2009 13:41

I bet there's a badly paid student in the DM office wetting himself though...

squeaver · 20/08/2009 13:45

some of the comments are brilliant.

This is what will get the column stopped. Direct action! Up the workers!

OrmIrian · 20/08/2009 13:46

According to Helen from London's comment "Sausage rolls and fruit shoots seems to be the most popular these educated chatty mums are giving their kids." Now come on.... she must be a secret MNer taking the p*.

OrmIrian · 20/08/2009 13:47

Ha! It ws you midnight express!

fishflange · 20/08/2009 13:51

I am going to print it out and stick it on the fridge. When I am really sad I can read the billy bear meat comment and rofl
Good work mners!

Ninks · 20/08/2009 13:52

Oh I put the Mr N comment up. I didn't think it'd get through, it's so bleeding obvious.

And I feel really dirty having a DM registration...

The other ones are great though - nice ham work

OrmIrian · 20/08/2009 13:52

"so-called mothers" tee hee..... That has made my day

sherazade · 20/08/2009 13:56

i'm actually pml over the article. it's so mild it's so cringeworty its so .. shit.
And the names... she may as well have used x,y and z she was that unimaginitive.
And lunchbox contents? how about an article dedicated to a discussion what colour underpants we put our dcs in. so boring and irrelevent and so nicey nicey. what a pile of crap if i haven't already said that 3000 times. why don't they just give up?

midnightexpress · 20/08/2009 13:57

No, mine was different, OrmIrian. I said something about cold scotch pancakes as well. Unless one of their useless journalists has edited me, of course .

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 20/08/2009 14:01

My comment hasn't gone up yet! Wonder why??

Chunkamatic · 20/08/2009 14:04

ROFL. This is why I love MN!

KeepPassingTheOpenWindows · 20/08/2009 14:06

Katisha, I couldn't be bothered to actually think of something to write so I just borrowed the author's thoughts!

Katisha · 20/08/2009 14:08

Subtle!

fishflange · 20/08/2009 14:10

they haven't printed my comments by Eileen Dover.
Do you think they guessed?

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 20/08/2009 14:11

I LOVE the Mrs B Gruff name!!

Katisha · 20/08/2009 14:13

Shock - isn't that a man making the tomato sandwich in the picture? Cant be bothered to register to troll myself, but surely there's some mileage in that for someone?

BlehdyDM · 20/08/2009 14:13

Good work on the comments. They're HILARIOUS (though I did spend some time thinking, are these real DM comments, or fake MN DM comments?) It is hard to tell.

Cluckadoodledoo · 20/08/2009 14:16

ooooh trip trap trip trap I didn't think they would publish that!

midnightexpress · 20/08/2009 14:20

They don't seem to want my comments , but I'm waiting for someone to wax hysterical about HOW HAM CAUSES CANCER in reponse to the 'nice ham' ones.

NonGratisAnusDailyMail · 20/08/2009 14:27

Tis very funny. They published my rant comment about us taxpayers having to fund all this fussiness , but last week they did not publish my remark about lazy journalismn. I wonder why?
