I hope they get help and support. I hope other children learn from this.

12 year olds probably think they aren't even old enough to make babies yet.

I do think it's good that they have gone public in a way. It will be a lesson to other children who might be considering it.

This should never have been in the paper. He is only 13 (looks about 7, weird?) and will be bullied over this.

It is odd that she fancied him. He looks very childlike. When I was 15 we only seemed to fancy the older boys.

I find it very unlikely that this boy will be around for his child in a years time. The mum and her family will be doing all the hard work.

Even if he personally said that, I don't believe it. Any 12 year old of normal intelligence knows how babies are made.

He may not have realised the life-long implcations of parenthood, but he knows that sex makes babies.

Teenagers are very good at damage limitation. They get their stories straight so their parents don't throttle them

He is only 13 but he would have known sex leads to babies. My DS1 (7yrs) knows that and I find it impossible to believe that a 12 year old boy didn't. He is lying.

However 12 year old boys are not very good at cause and effect. He was caught up in the moment, I guess.

15 yr old girls do know how babies are made and she would have known about contraception.
