Goodness me, he's tiny. He looks about 8!

ssd · 13/02/2009 07:58

what an awful story, he looks as young as my boys

Lizzylou · 13/02/2009 07:59

I know, he is so baby faced, he doesn't look much older than my almost 5 DS1.

He does, so so young.

lottiejenkins · 13/02/2009 08:02

The same age as my ds.....

SoupDragon · 13/02/2009 08:02

I think that is utterly appalling.

Lizzylou · 13/02/2009 08:03

It scares the life out of me tbh
He looks like he should be playing Power rangers and Ben 10, not changing nappies.

he is so tiny I would have thought he was about 7!
I hope they get alot of support poor kids

LoveMyLapTop · 13/02/2009 08:10

He looks like DS1 who is aged 8.
The girlfriend looks like his mother, this is appalling.
And why are there parents allowing them to be paraded in fornt of the media ( well the Sun) like a freakshow?

SoupDragon · 13/02/2009 08:12

Why are they allowing them to be paraded in front of the media as if they are proud of the situation??

sweetkitty · 13/02/2009 08:16

OMG he looks like the 6 year old big brother

wastingmyeducation · 13/02/2009 08:16

To get money to pay for the baby?

Nemoandthefishes · 13/02/2009 08:16

blimey they are both very naive and he doesnt look much older than ds who is 5.

LoveMyLapTop · 13/02/2009 08:16

Money?
I expect they will be on Jeremy Kyle this morning.

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 13/02/2009 08:24

oh my god

He's just a baby. His girlfriend looks MASSIVE at the side of him. I'd have thought she was his mum, too.

Very sad.

ok, leaving aside my personal feelings about children having sex - the contraception message is just not getting heard and UNDERSTOOD, is it?

I saw an article in the express the other day about a 17yr old expecting triplets (already a mother at 15) she said that the pregnancies were a shock. Then went on to say that they weren't using contraception.

WHAT is it going to take for people to understand? It's not rocket science for fucks sake.

twinmam · 13/02/2009 08:24

OMG this is awful and so utterly depressing

cory · 13/02/2009 08:25

The two young boys mentioned in the article both impregnated girls who were several years older. So why is noone hinting at a word of criticism of those girls who seduced such young boys? If that had been my 15-year-old daughter, I would have been horrified at her lack of responsibility. Imagine if it had been the other way round.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 13/02/2009 08:26

"Alfie?s family told only those closest to them for fear he would be ?demonised? at school."

...but putting them in the papers is ok...

southeastastra · 13/02/2009 08:27

freaks

fishie · 13/02/2009 08:27

he is one of 9 himself. she is one of 6. nobody seems to be using contraception in their lives.

psychomum5 · 13/02/2009 08:29

and and very at the parents of both teens for allowing them to be in the papers and set up for ridicule.......which they will be!

how dreadfully sad.

and what is that girl doing with a small child like that boy, cos that is what he is........a small child!!! (yes, he says 13, he looks 8!)

and if the backgrounds to both chldren are right, tis another generation follwing on from the mistakes of their own parents.........what chance does this baby stnad??

FAQinglovely · 13/02/2009 08:34

that is very = such a baby face - my DS1 (8) looks older than him!

I agree why us no-one questioning the actions of the 15yr old girl in the whole thing. We had a "sex scandal" at my boarding school - at 12yr old girl slept with 3 different boys, 2 of those boys, and the girl got suspended for a short time, the other boy - who was a little older at 15yrs old was expelled from the school. Reasons were that as he was older he should have been more "responsible" - totally NOT taking into account that it was mostly definitely the 12yr old girl who had initiatied all of the sexual encounters with all 3 boys.

Lets just hope they get the support they need, and that he does stick around and play a part in his DD's life in the long term.

SammyK · 13/02/2009 08:37

He looks tiny and scared sat next to his 'girlfriend'. What was she doing having sex with him? What a huge pressure to put on him at his age.

SoupDragon · 13/02/2009 09:05

AT 15 she is below the age of consent herself so I guess can not be blamed.

wastingmyeducation · 13/02/2009 09:08

I presumed she couldn't get a lad her own age cos she's a munter and clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but that's me being both very horrid and giving her the benefit of the doubt. He really is very, very little.
