Is this true? because the Daily Mail reported it so obviously I need something more reliable than that

Last year Guardian reported 'there were no plans' for a state funeral.

Anyone heard this from anywhere other than the DM?

Seriously... if they do this there will be a big backlash, which would be frankly distasteful on the day of someone't fuenral. Whereas if they don't do it, people might just about let her go to her grave before the hand-rubbing begins. I really think it's an awful idea (and not just because I think she was a heartless fucker).

Sorry - but love her/hate her I think it is very distasteful to be discussing her funeral arrangements in the paper when she is not even dead yet - imagine if that was your grandma! How would she feel to see such a thing!

Lots of people plan their funerals.
State funerals take years of planning.
