I was recently talking about her on the steiner/waldorf thread and read tonight that she has just split from her husband partly due to the lifestyle change required by steiner schools.
Just wanted to post here, incase anyone knew her and could point her to the thread here

OP posts:
sherby · 16/04/2008 14:24

This thread is bizarre to say the least

Thebee · 16/04/2008 14:24

"Didn't David Gilmour (pink flloyd) send his eldest to a steiner school, until he realised that at the age of 15 she couldn't read?"

Other Waldorf student clearly become Ministers or CEO of American Express. Maybe the parents children have play a role in what their children can and cannot do ...

MrsMattie.

Saturn74 · 16/04/2008 14:26

Bizarre link.

wannaBe · 16/04/2008 14:27

clearly they're all freaks.

Aren't cults supposed to be illegal? or does it cease being a cult once there are x amount of followers?

sparkybabe · 16/04/2008 14:27

It's a mothers forum you pillock, we discuss stuff that is relevant to mothers!

Saturn74 · 16/04/2008 14:31

""got nothing interesting to say?" You mean on diapers and feeding hours? ..."

Oh thebee - I think that's got to be one of the most ill-judged posts I've seen on here for a long time.

ROFL!

Kewcumber · 16/04/2008 14:33

"You mean on diapers and feeding hours? ... " ummm no, actually I think she means on anything. Even your views on your specialist subject are (how do I put this tactfully...) somewhat uninteresting.

Swedes · 16/04/2008 14:35

I think this thread should be given Mumsnet classic status, in a parallel universe.

itsMYmummy · 16/04/2008 14:37

Thebee- sorry but what an ignoramus!

SheikYerbouti · 16/04/2008 14:37

Theebs, you are a farking nutjob.

Thebee · 16/04/2008 14:40

"If you hang around with yanks darling you'll have no concept of irony at all"

You mean If i ruled the world is not a good example of British irony.

"you seem to display precious little of it (humour) in your posts."

My basic nature is very serious. I'm only funny with people I like. Or (ironic with people I) really dislike.

northernrefugee39 · 16/04/2008 14:49

Thebee · 16/04/2008 14:52

"This guy is bonkers. He just keeps repeating what we've all said"

As this thread is so full of prattle, I quote the specific prattle I address at the beginning of what I write to make clear what I comment on.

northernrefugee39 · 16/04/2008 14:53

"Steiners make me really uneasy - like the Tom Cruise cult, whatever they are. "

Sparky, yes, there is that feeling of Scientology madness, Steiner thought humans came from the moon, and Atlantis, and were jelly like beings attatched to the surface of he moon by astral umbilica cords.
And i won'y quote it, @cos cod will come in all bold and funnytypey and cross.

SheikYerbouti · 16/04/2008 14:57

"As this thread is so full of prattle, I quote the specific prattle I address at the beginning of what I write to make clear what I comment on."

I just wanted to quote so that I felt like I belong

itsMYmummy · 16/04/2008 14:57

THEBEE- DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY?
