I attended a police briefing re my work in 2019 where they said they were predicting civil unrest as there’s a cycle and we’re over due… then covid happened and they thought that would be the tipping point, but weirdly it wasn’t. I guess it’s now. It’s horrific and embarrassing.

Who remembers this? A man who murdered a mother and her two daughters by setting fire to their flat has been jailed for life.

Their neighbour Jamie Barrow was convicted of three counts of murder for deliberately starting the fire.

It barely caused a ripple in the national news and there were certainly no riots and people screaming "Protect our kids", It was a hideous and heartbreaking case

And in fact you don't just 'send the army in' , there's a complicated and carefully structured process for military assistance to civil authorities.

Oh the police have attended. One police van and no riot gear. They said and I quote 'it was a small scuffle, and probably looked like something it wasnt' directly into the camera of a guy asking why there's been no police presence.

Yes police are talking to community leaders rather than sending in riot police - don’t want to be seen as racist!
