I actually like Russel brand . And I don't think he's ever hidden what he used to be in his heyday. He's always been very open about his drug use, and promiscuity.

I read his first book . I watch his videos on fb , and while I don't always agree with him, he seems to have totally overhauled his lifestyle, attitudes, is into yoga, self care, seems to be a decent husband and father .

Is this newsworthy ? Young famous comedian in heyday slept with lots and lots of women , consensually he says ?

Hes never hidden it.

On drug misuse I alWays had time for his views that it should be dealt with as a medical issue not a criminal one

What's the news story ?
I always feel like there is much glee and salivating before the media try and knock someone down.
I don't think this is a huw edwards where people would be shocked at him trying to pick up young women behind his wife's back

It seems that brand has settled down , lives a fairly mundane lifestyle and is happy with his choices .

Or am I completely missing something?

Well how about you go and actually read the reports which have been linked here multiple times. These women deserve to be heard - go hear them rather than defend their rapist without even knowing what you're talking about.

If you read the allegations that have been shared today already, I hope you wouldn't still frame them all as consensual events that women (or 16 year old girl in one case) just regretted later. To be clear, he is being accused of rape and sexual assault.

Your main concern is mainly why is it only being reported now? Do you actually know any thing about rape victims or are you just using any defence to help protect the image of someone you adore?

I don't trust it. Why is anyone interested in RBs promiscuous behaviour? They're not as it's not news. However if there's accused criminal activity then why isn't this being dealt with by the police?

I've seen a few videos recently of Brand speaking out on things like the media, banks, big tech, big pharma, Covid and a world that lacks the discipline of religion, all of which make a lot of sense.

Yes, a 16 year old in their first sexual relationship with a 30 year old famous man definitely shouldn't talk about his sexually coercive and assaulting behaviour when she has reached adulthood, because she consented #sarcasm

Get a grip. He's a predator, this behaviour is not OK. It should be criminal but sadly too many people in this country think that men can't be expected to be responsible with their elections. 16 year old girls however definitely should know what they are doing.
