Just heard this on the radio, does anyone have an actual source? Can't see it anywhere yet, I'm sure that is what I heard, assume not 'serious' as in risk to them?

I thought they had expensive private security? Kind of surprising that this situation was allowed to happen and there was no plan for what to do if they were caught off guard or ambushed. The whole thing sounds chaotic. Meghan and Harry should obviously be able to go about their lives without being harassed and the press can be shits, however they are public figures and it sounds like they need a proper security plan for these kinds of events and appearances.

The TMZ video shows hte cops turning right at the intersection and H nad M going left. I don't think those two things are related - but it makes a story since they have cops cars and H and M in the same video shot. If the cops had been there for them, they would have been doing crowd control. This all seems like a nothing burger

Numerous people have already said this and I agree entirely. Surely the best and safest way to not be involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase, is to not participate in a car chase? Especially when your mother died in a car chased by paps. Just… be safe?

I’m not saying it’s OK to be hounded by paps, or that they should allow paps to photograph them inside a car, but bloody hell. They’re acting like they had no choice but to be driven dangerously around NYC for two hours.

You can understand why he is fighting to keep his UK protection if that is the quality l of protection they have in the US. It is laughable that someone thought it was a good idea to squash all three of them into the back of a yellow cab and make their getaway ! It seems like something out of a slapstick comedy.

The daily Mail are not reporting on this online ( yet) which I find odd as they covered the event they all went to yesterday.

The 'three of them'- he's not heir to the throne, neither is Meghan or her Mum, so there is no reason at all why he and M and her mother can't be in a car together.

Because the heir to the throne gets an entirley different level of protection I imagine.

I am sure that P&PoW, if visiting NYC, would have Head of State or some such extremely high status allocated to him and the appropiate protection. NYC are used to that - remember they have the UN there.

I’d be really pissed off if I was one of the pedestrians or other car drivers who were almost killed over the space of two hours while H&M went on a high speed NYC privacy tour.

So nothing catastrophic actually happened, and nobody had apparently noticed the whole thing, seeing as it happened yesterday and is only just being reported - by them - today.

It does sound very over dramatic. Lots of “near”, collisions and catastrophes. Surely they , or him at least, will have had previous instruction on how to deal with situations like this, driving to a police station, calling for assistance etc. Two hours is a long time.

All it does it make Harry & M fall lower and lower in my estimation.

You might even start to wonder if they will create a little 'prang' to prove their point further.

I also think it is odd the mail haven’t run it yet - I suspect people are scouring for video evidence of this “chase”. Also being reported they got out of a black SUV into a yellow cab. Bizarre.

Maybe it's their first step in wanting a return to the UK. 'We're just not safe in the States, we need to live in a secured property and have full security - but most of all we want to move back to help H's beloved Father who is under so much pressure, without any support at present. We need to be sure he is surrounded by the right people'.

Come on, their US security is supposedly costing them millions per year and this is how they arrange for them to get away from 2 or 3 paps. 😁 Imagine if it was something more dangerous, a kidnapping attempt, a terrorist attack. I know nothing about security, but that looks like a total shambles to me or possibly a convenient set up for the 'paps'.
