Just heard this on the radio, does anyone have an actual source? Can't see it anywhere yet, I'm sure that is what I heard, assume not 'serious' as in risk to them?

Aside from the fact that there is conveniently somehow never any footage of them being hounded by the press (or credible witnesses), I find it interesting that you refer to the Duchess of Edinburgh as plain Sophie yet Meghan (a non working royal who was only ever entitled to the DoS title, or Princess Henry) is 'Princess Meghan'. 😂😂

😂

Harry needs therapy. Proper bereavement therapy.

He really does. People need to stop comparing Meghan to Diana, they and the situations are nothing alike. It's not helping Harry one bit.

How sad that people lack the sense to figure out how it could have ended in a catastrophic event. I mean if you look at Sophie nobody is interested in her she isn't even heir to the throne literally nobody cares (no paps chasing her they literally couldnt care less if she disappeared for a decade) and yet enroute to Scotland her entourage still managed to knock the lady over no paps chasing. Compare her to prince Harry and Princess Meghan being chased by the prazzi at every given opportunity just to catch a glimpse and get a pic for her 2nd fanbase( the crazies that hate her and yet always want to catch a glimpse, literally cant start their day without a glimpse of Meghan). It doesn't take a PhD to see how that could have ended catastrophically

She's not a princess.

Wiseflower · 17/05/2023 21:06

Everyone in the media world is so judgemental and it cascades to the public. The couple got into trouble with the paparazzi mob and now in the main news everywhere, media vultures pick at it, splice it, split hairs and then tell us all. Who actually believes this type of media?

Harry needs therapy. Proper bereavement therapy.

But he's had therapy and it just seems to have entrenched the issue. Goodness knows what it was or with who but it def hasn't helped him.

Twatalert · 17/05/2023 21:08

I wonder why they felt the need to make an 'announcement'. It's ridiculous that the press is falling for it. I don't buy their paparazzi bullshit. Nobody is that interested in them.

Twatalert · 17/05/2023 21:10

So, they pulled into a police station and when they left the POLICE the paps still followed them 😂

The poor lady who was knocked down in London stepped into traffic on what has been described as a blind corner, with vision obscured by an electricity box- the locals have reported other events in the location @Ellaelle

It's got nothing to do with who was being escorted. It's connected to the road layout, lack of vision on a blind corner, and not speed of a motorbike.

The road is in central London and the escort vehicles were not speeding.

Ellaelle · 17/05/2023 21:12

Ah OK princess Sophie then. If you look in Wikipedia they refer to Meghan as a princess and Sophie not (a Princess) so....but I was just trying to show that literally nobody cares what princess Sophie is doing but even princess Meghans detractors are constantly on the look out for any pretty pics of Meghan, tabloids like dm know this and the fact that she brings in the revenue for them, so whilst princess Sophie may be a working royal princess Meghan generates more interest and adulation

Seriously. Neither of them are fricking princesses. 🙄

Twatalert · 17/05/2023 21:14

And isn't the spokesperson the same that claimed to know Meghan was to travel to the queen's deathbed and that the queen would be transferred back to London by train 😂these two have no credibility. If they really got chased for two hours, even to and from a police station, they should hand the case to police and let them do their investigation. I'd assume they took footage with their phones the police could use. This announcement just feeds her narcissism. No doubt this story is gonna be in their next book and we will hear all about how terrified they were.

gotta keep the Worldwide Privacy Tour in the news somehow.

Meghan is the Duchess of Sussex and Princess Henry (Harry)

Sophie is the Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Edward

Both usually referred as the Duchess of Sussex/Edinburgh as that is the senior title.

Neither are a princess

Yes exactly so not even a high speed car chase and the lady was still severely injured, now factor in a car chase by deranged prazzi and it could have been catastrophic! Anyway thank God nobody was injured and hopefully.

Hopefully the lady who was knocked down by princess Sophie entourage does make a speedy recovery soon

Diorinthecountry · 17/05/2023 21:17

@Twatalert oh I would think minimum two chapters at least 😁

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 17/05/2023 21:19

What are 'prazzi'?

it could have been catastrophic!

Yes. But it wasn't, was it? it seems to have been rather different from what was first reported.

The actual police did not say it didn't happen.

The actual police did in fact say it didn’t happen.

This.

stop releasing books, stories, press releases.

Stop accusing people of racism.

Stop doing interviews with your friends who are just using you to validate themselves.

but she’s not like that. She will milk it all and divorce him in the end. Then he will be portrayed as the bad guy.

They're as bad as each other.

They both seem to be eaten up with envy and greed IMO - I can't get my head around their determination to do everything they can to hurt their families and promote themselves at any cost.

They have "misremembered" so often that I don't know why anyone listens to a word that comes out of their mouths.

PicturesOfDogs · 17/05/2023 21:25

The fact that all the papers are quoting ‘near catastrophic’ (with the quote marks) shows that this is what they have been told. By Omid Scobie presumably, as he’s the one who ‘broke’ the story. I wonder why he worded it like that.

Them driving so erratically, mounting pavements etc. multiple ‘near collisions’ yet not a single arrest?

Police there and tried to reprimand paps, but couldn’t as they ‘sped off’, yet somehow ‘chase’ continued for two hours?

Sorry, nope, not buying it.

The paps were taking pics, and so they had to take a detour. That’s literally it.

And the cab drivers statements aren’t helping to sway me

notangelinajolie · 17/05/2023 21:27

Nobody was hurt. The taxi driver said he wasn’t driving fast. The mayor looked bemused. The police didn’t arrest anyone and from the sounds of it it was pretty much a non event. The press hadn’t even reported it. Not a single second of phone footage of this chase posted by a member of the public anywhere.

So why did H&M feel the need to announce this?
Oh wait …

If I had a nearly catastrophic event in New York I would be off home on the next plane. Writing a press statement would be the last thing on my mind. After what appears to be such a traumatic event for the couple my mind is blown that they even had headspace to do this.

This is New York. The citizens of New York know all too well what a real catastrophe looks like.
