Harry and Meghan and Doria car accident?

Just heard this on the radio, does anyone have an actual source? Can't see it anywhere yet, I'm sure that is what I heard, assume not 'serious' as in risk to them?

Plenty of footage on Twitter showing the stuck in the usual NY traffic. cCtv operators have tweeted too that they’ve reviewed foirsge and have found no evidence 🙄

Paparazzi are scum and will never be anything other than scum. Why chase them for two hours, why torment and terrify them like that especially after what happened Harry's poor mother. I hope they're ok and don't see the nasty victim blaming comments everywhere.

The abuse they've had from day one has been ridiculous. From the very start The Palace, The Queen, Charles and William have steadfastly ignored the harassment and dreadful treatment Harry and Meghan have been subjected to. The non stop harassment from Meghan's own father, brother and sister has never been addressed byt hem either. Maybe if they had condemned the behaviour and made it clear they wanted it to stop, Harry and Meghan wouldn't have done any tell alls or written a book.

It's all well and good the Royal family striding around with big smiles plastered on their faces announcing they are serious supporters of mental health, bullying and anti racist charities and groups while at the same time completely ignoring the terrible treatment Harry and Meghan got. Charles has basically shown the world he couldn't give a toss about Harry. The media are only encouraged further every day to harass and bully Harry and Meghan.

I wish them well and hope that they recover from this terrible incident.

Well said.

That photo from the front of the driver and bodyguard is really quite chilling. Genuinely does remind me of those last Diana car chase pap photos.

Yes, I think that shot was definitely set up to evoke memories. Whether set up by the press or someone else is open to question. The security guy in the video seemed to give the photographers enough time to get some photos.

AutumnCrow · 17/05/2023 17:15

Were they really not wearing seat belts?

GreekDogRescue · 17/05/2023 17:15

Will this be confirmed by anyone else except the Archwell spin department?

What a coincidence this ‘terrifying’ event happened the week that Harold is suing the government for not allowing him to buy the services of the met police when he visits London.

But surely that would be too obvious, even for the ‘dumb Prince and his wife’.

Maybe not such a great idea to be trundling around New York with a flashy motorcade so huge it can be seen from space. Nothing like drawing attention to yourself.

Awaits aggressive responses from said Archwell Spin Dept actively monitoring this thread. Good evening Roussos.

I know there is a lot of information about this online and some of it may be wrong, but I’m sure I read they were in a black SUV and then switched to a yellow cab to try and get away from the paps. If true this seems very silly. Surely it would be safer in the SUV rather than changing to a smaller, less secure vehicle? Drama does seem to follow them around doesn’t it?

Also this makes their security look inept and I agree with a previous poster who said it was quite stupid to advertise this loudly and publicly.

Hippyhippybake · 17/05/2023 17:16

King Charles chose to hold his coronation on his grandson’s 4th birthday? Anyone who can view the staging of an event involving thousands of members of the armed forces, the largest collection of heads of state ever etc etc through the lens of a 4 year old’s birthday is to put it mildly solipsistic.

frankgu · 17/05/2023 17:17

Just been on Sky news that the NYPD are saying it was not near catastrophic! They said it was chaotic but not near catastrophic

So it did actually happen then cause lots of the posters on this thread thought the whole thing was BS?

Whaeanui · 17/05/2023 17:17

PhyllisFogg · 17/05/2023 16:57

All it does it make Harry & M fall lower and lower in my estimation.

You might even start to wonder if they will create a little 'prang' to prove their point further.

What a fucking gross thing to say

whomoon · 17/05/2023 17:03

Very point, particularly about the male situation.

I take it fully onboard.

Thank you Whomoon. 😘Too much?

Were they really not wearing seat belts?

No photo so far shows any of them wearing seat belts.

berksandbeyond · 17/05/2023 17:18

So there wasn’t actually a collision? Weird, you’d think if you were in a car chase for 2 hours you’d think to stop the vehicle and go into the safety of a building wouldn’t you? Must have been a 2 hour journey in New York that didn’t involve going past a single hotel, restaurant, theatre, government building or police station

AVoiceofSense · 17/05/2023 17:18

H&M will be living for this🤣

Lavenderheys · 17/05/2023 17:18

With these two you can never be sure it even happened, either at all or the way they said it did. Forever the victims.

AutumnCrow · 17/05/2023 17:18

That was me.

It goes against all professional security advice to advertise your security vulnerabilities like this, unless you're playing a game.

Apparently the NYPD put them in a yellow cab to put the paps off the scent. Why would they put them in an identical black SUV?

Agree with you on the security though..

frankgu · 17/05/2023 17:19

Isn't that want some on this thread were saying H should have done?

They’re not very bright are they? Can’t be that concerned about their safety

4plusthehound · 17/05/2023 17:19

MsWhitworth · 17/05/2023 17:05

How interesting that despite all we know about illegal press activity (phone hacking etc.) and the dangerous behaviour of paparazzi (Diana), people still don’t blame the press for anything. Almost no one on this thread has called out the disgusting behaviour of the people actually following them.

Absof&^%glutely.

SHOCKING

fajitaaa · 17/05/2023 17:19

4plusthehound · 17/05/2023 17:01

I noticed that.

The cynical interpretation is yours.

A more generous one could be that people will go over every movement she makes in minute detail, she is damed no matter what - to me she has gone full on detach, yoga, stay still.

Look at what they say about the PoW if caught with anything other than a massive grin.

We all need to stop lambasting women who are trying to manage a male situation.
Because there is no doubt in my mind that all those paps are male.

Fully agree.

Saucemonkey · 17/05/2023 17:19

They got chased in America ? How odd, I thought it was just the uk press that Harry deemed evil.

BlowseNSkirt · 17/05/2023 17:19

@frankgu Yes, it was the sensible thing to do, but it doesn't seem to have worked as the paps didn't back off once they had done that.

berksandbeyond · 17/05/2023 17:20

Notonthestairs · 17/05/2023 17:19

So they didn't stop at 2 police stations then?

How was it a 2 hour ‘catastrophic’ chase then?

CreepyVine · 17/05/2023 17:20

Sky spoke to NYPD who dispute the length of the chase, dispute the number of paparazzi apparently it last 1hr 15mins and then H &M swooped cards and arrived at their friends house without being followed.
mid you take a photo on a car and take it pointing the camera at the windscreen of course you'll get a similar picture of Diana!
