Here's the new thread

My phone is playing up. I wrote a FAQ and then it crashed and I lost it all.

I'm also dealing with a child on the spectrum who is bouncing off the walls this evening so I apologise for not being around much.

For the inappropriate sly accusatory posts such as the Fanny character keeps posting, can people just report them instead of quoting bits of them.

Llovecookies · 12/02/2023 19:13

OfWarren. I have an autistic child myself who isn't coping tonight either. It's half term next week and he doesn't cope with change. Ignore the criticism on here. You are doing an amazing job.

I find it distasteful posters are speculating on her partner's involvement because of lack of eye contact in the interview
He was trying hard to stay composed for his girls and looked bewildered to me
I hope some more evidence comes to light this week
My heart aches for all concerned

Totally agree
Poor guy looked broken to me

Thankyou@ofwarren for the new thread and info.

I've just about managed to read the piece from Nicola's neighbor (apparently I'm using an add blocker😁)

I'd hoped her boss would speak out as others close to Nicola have done and he must surely know her well. And he was in a meetings with her on the day and the day before I seem to recall but I may may be wrong about that ? Perhaps he is too shocked and saddened though and wants to keep a low profile.

Lets hope the police can resolve the case soon for the family's sake

Crumpetdisappointment · 12/02/2023 19:15

he did look bewildered,
poor man

Bluekerfuffle · 12/02/2023 19:15

Someone asked if sniffer dogs were used. They were, but looks like a week later:

He's doing the best he can in such an awful situation. I'd be a mess, no doubt he's keeping strong for their two little girls.

I'd really hoped the police would have made progress this weekend, let's hope they do have something more but we're just not privy to it yet.

Hi everyone, we are closing this thread now due to the volume of reports - while we take a look behind the scenes.

HebeMumsnet · 12/02/2023 21:36

Evening, everyone. We've reopened the thread now.

JaneJeffer · 12/02/2023 21:37

Thanks @HebeMumsnet and for dealing with those disrupters

Evening, everyone. We've reopened the thread now.

That’s a shame. If I owned the company that was publicly named on a previous thread, with an alleged link to a crime and van, mumsnet would be receiving a letter from a solicitor tomorrow.

ofwarren · 12/02/2023 21:40

Thank you for reopening

Quite. All this disgusting gossipy speculation and panting with every new post.
Plus the bullying that these people are doing to anybody suggesting their obsession is disrespectful and tasteless.
Oh dear.
I'm a dissenter. I'm not allowed on this thread. Oops.

TrevTro · 12/02/2023 21:42

I don't understand posters complaining about a thread, surely if you don't like a thread, you simply hide it. Everyone seems so eager to be offended.

Anyway, as we were, hopefully.
