Here's the new thread

My phone is playing up. I wrote a FAQ and then it crashed and I lost it all.

I'm also dealing with a child on the spectrum who is bouncing off the walls this evening so I apologise for not being around much.

And another thread in active. I shall continue to comment and report until mnhq do the right thing and stop this.

I so wish they would, sad people trading in on others misery

Goldpaw · 12/02/2023 19:01

And this is the press conference from a few days ago.

The threads are ending up like Swiss cheese anyway, since the main posters seem to enjoy making nasty personal attacks on others. I've reported too, though, and suggested to MNHQ that they might want to consider the necessity of protecting themselves as well as the fact that it's not very responsible to allow/encourage distasteful rampant speculation about a missing person and their friends and relatives.

I wonder if anyone has seen any details of any future police conference planned?

Also thinking about the Facebook Post RE the helicopter in the area and if this had any credibility.

AbsolutelyFuckingSick · 12/02/2023 19:04

@Daffodilis it's become a game to them. So much they are now practicing toddler speak of la la la la we can't hear you we can't see you

I made notes of what was said in the press conference in case anyone found them helpful.

Conference begins.

*Received hundreds of pieces of info and now about 500 lines of enquiry
*40 officers now working on it
*Enquiry team fully open minded as to what has happened to Nicola
*House to house, CCTV, dashcam footage, identifying witnesses and speaking to them
*Digital examinations - fitbit, phone
*700 vehicles identified as driving through the village, all being spoken to re: witnessing anything or dashcam footage
*Coastgurad, Lancashire Fire and Rescue, Lancaster and Bowland Mountain Rescue, SGI (free of charge), other agencies and people
*Continuing to search riverbank and river (fast flowing and tidal in parts making it complex)- drones, sonar, dogs, etc. Some areas discounted, but re-searched as lots of river is tidal
*Six specially trained officers systematically searching riverbank and open ground every day
*Divers from underwater search unit working with SGI
*Reiterate they remain fully open to all credible possibilities - however they believe Nicola did fall into the river
*All enquiries have not found anything of note
*Worked with National Crime Agency who have not advised any further enquiries, nor has anything been missed in this investigation.

Please can people not speculate about what may have happened. Particularly hurtful to Nicola's family and friends, and is distracting to the police enquiry.

Not helpful for anyone to take the law into their own hands. Do not break into empty properties.

Online abuse will not be tolerated. Nor will criminal damage.

*8.26 left home with children
*8.40 dropped children off
*8.43 Seen in upper field
*8.47 Seen in lower field
*8.53 Email to boss
*8.57 Playdate
*9.01 Conference call
*9.10ish seen in upper field
*9.20 phone was on the bench
*9.33 phone found on bench by someone who doesn't know her
*Nicola last seen at 9.10 in upper field. Knee length jacket. Black jeans. Long green walking socks. Green ankle length wellies. Pale blue fitbit
*Nicola did not leave Allotment Lane or Rowanwater Caravan site, not any of the other locked areas
*This only leaves path to Garstang Lane with no CCTV
*Dashcam footage on the lane needed
*Extending search of riverbank to the sea and from Knott End to Morecambe

Questions by press.

Oh come on. I’m not objecting to these threads existing and posted on an earlier one, but “Autistic or Guilty” is going a bit too far. Along with all the other crap being flung at the family.

On the last thread I posted about the police helicopters landing on someone's field in possibly over wyre.
I've just seen on the Knott End and Preesall Facebook page that they definitely did land and were searching outbuildings.

FFS that’s out of order.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 12/02/2023 19:10

I find it distasteful posters are speculating on her partner's involvement because of lack of eye contact in the interview
He was trying hard to stay composed for his girls and looked bewildered to me
I hope some more evidence comes to light this week
My heart aches for all concerned

That's reassuring the police are conducting land searches as well as the river now; I know if it was someone I loved, I'd want the whole planet searched.

Shewasnthere · 12/02/2023 19:11

Ok ive bitten already.

@Jourdain11 you were the only one attacking anyone 😳
@Daffodilis if you were autistic yourself or had 3 ASD children you will know full well that not everything can be controlled, mainly meltdowns. I know full well, when I try to involve myself in my sons meltdown it makes it 1000000 times worsee And you would always be supportive not critical. ASD adults have just as a hard time as ASD children. Maybe you need to get off here and educate yourself
