Missing Woman Nicola Bulley 8

Here's the new thread

My phone is playing up. I wrote a FAQ and then it crashed and I lost it all.

I'm also dealing with a child on the spectrum who is bouncing off the walls this evening so I apologise for not being around much.

I hate to say it but I don't know if she fits the demographics for being kidnapped by a trafficker. She is beautiful but still a 45yo mum - she would not make a lot of money for a sex trafficker who would typically target teenagers.

A stalker within the area with a longstanding obsession with her is a possibility. It would be hard to identify when every other person probably commented on how pretty she was but still, perhaps she shared something with a friend about a worrying one.

Peverellshire · 13/02/2023 16:53

@VanGoghsDog there is no source for the string, it appears to be someone's surmise that has become fact over time. NB: articles on dog discovery.

Re: abduction by a stalker.

Stalker abduction feels vanishingly unlikely to me, given they'd almost certainly have to the used the same pathway the woman witness used, and effectively crossed paths with this person, either walking down the same path at 9:25-9:30am or passing Nicola being abducted on this path and it feels unlikely they'd not have noticed anything off or unusual (?)

Then we have to factor in there were at least 6 (?) dog walkers or passers-by congregating around the bench at 9:33am plus. Not the time to choose re: a stalker. Too people many around.

Any planned stalker abduction would be likely done in a quieter spot and not at dog walking 'rush hour', I feel.

Renoir56 · 13/02/2023 16:54

@ImprobablePuffin there is no need to be so rude. I certainly have not been 'tipped over the edge'. But I have no intention of watching a YouTube video which has a title with an exclamation mark on it when it's about the recent disappearance of a real person.

melonraspberry · 13/02/2023 16:55

@Peverellshire in which case we’re down to accident. But I don’t think it involved the river .

Peverellshire · 13/02/2023 16:56

@plitvice you're sadly, possibly right BUT any obsessed stalker or anyone smart with a plan would not pick dog walking rush hour I feel.

At least six around the bench minutes later and a witness walking down the path, so close in time as to cross paths. It would seem that path was the only viable exit out, so...they have a few minutes to act.

Peverellshire · 13/02/2023 16:56

@melonraspberry not necessarily. Let's hope the police keep a very open mind.

Bluebellwood129 · 13/02/2023 16:57

Interesting comment on websleuths re. the pumping station (obviously pure speculation):

"The reason I think it might be connected to the Old House is because there is a small mark on a very old map showing something in that location.
Again it is IMO but not implausible there is a tunnel there for crossing the river. Yes a bridge would make more sense but a bridge may impede boat traffic (if there was any) on the river."

We know there are no boats now of course but could a tunnel have been built years ago?

Plitvice · 13/02/2023 16:58

Or, if she was being properly stalked by an obsessed person confident enough to do this in a tiny window of opportunity then they would have to be local and maybe observing her from a property backing onto the site over a long period of time while observing the others who frequented it at the same time. Like Paul said, it was always the same faces out dog walking, never anyone new which sounds easier to survey.

pigsinoodies · 13/02/2023 17:00

Someone's been watching too much Scooby Doo.

Fine, but why then state with certainty what it contains, when in fact it didn't do what you surmised.

Peverellshire · 13/02/2023 17:07

@plitvice it comes down to occam's razor which IMO doesn't point to an obsessed stalker watching for the tiniest window of opportunity from a nearby property.

Any invested and obsessed stalker could have picked a better place and time, as horrid as that is to write.

Renoir56 · 13/02/2023 17:07

@Goldpaw I didn't State with certainty what it contained. But given there was a picture of Nicola Bulley and a dramatic title it wasn't something I wanted to watch.

Where is the source for 6 people at the bench at 9.33? The caravan park owner has claimed to be there around 9.33 tying the dog up then left to go to an appointment. From other reports the DIL returned later, much closer to 10.50 as that is when the school were phoned and asked to contact PA. When PA arrived he said there were a few people there.

There is mention of a male dog walker in the vicinity at 9.33 who then walked towards Rowanwater. The caravan park owner didn't need to use that path, there is a gate directly from the caravan park into the fields close by the bench.

The details of the reporting around the sighting at 9.33 and what happened next is very sketchy and you seem to keep coming back to one particular story from the Mirror that is a second hand account of an annonymous friend - which may not be the best factually correct (If there is such a thing) article to be focussed on?

A potential abductor could have been there much earlier possibly? Not necessarily sitting at the bench - they could have walked over the style into the other field, or been hiding in amongst the trees somewhere, if it was pre-planned based on being aware of NB's normal route.

Peverellshire · 13/02/2023 17:09

@Bluebellwood129 hopefully they have those on the ground, with strong local knowledge etc so when PF and police search they factor everything in.

This is what you said:

That 'Trapped by the Gate!' Video is just unnecessary speculation.

You were incorrect.

Speculating in fact!

Apologies for the exclamation mark. I understood people find them triggering.

Well in fact everything on here is speculation. I'm trying to avoid it but by speculating that the video wasn't something I wanted to watch I'm doing exactly the same!

Sorry, I didn't read that because of the exclamation mark!!!

Renoir56 · 13/02/2023 17:20

@ofwarren if that is also aimed at me then it's petty and unnecessary. We are allowed to disagree with each other.

Emlouisehbaae · 13/02/2023 17:25

I knew this was coming - I just wanted to come on and thank those who have controlled the trolling on this site….. but I get trolled and called some weirdo and that’s fine….. I know the truth - enjoy being horrid to those who only wanted to thank you for protecting Nik!
carry on with your speculation on who I am, or who I’m not…. I don’t care, I’ve enough on my plate without being called a weirdo - PS IM NOT ON FB 🤷🏻‍♀️

all this because I wanted to say thank you - Shocking
