With my Garmin, my activity data is all stored live. I only have to sync it to trasfeer the data to my phone App.

Her Fitbit data will all be available to the police, every step and activity, and depending on her Fitbit type, then perhaps GPS.

But knowing her Fitbit was perhaps in the water (I'm completely assuming this is the evidence police have but aren't telling us) doesn't necessarily mean Nicola was in the water.

The fact they haven't found her body-- just seems much more likely she's been murdered than she somehow fell into the river and drowned.

-no body has been found in the river

  • no evidence of a slip/fall
-lone woman, 5'3 -isolated area -known route that she took regularly -other exit points of area not covered by CCTV -dog reportedly running between bench and gate

I know that guy is an expert but experts can get it wrong and he is not the only
Expert on the case - with other experts having opposing views.

dawngreen · 09/02/2023 07:33

Also true.

I wonder how long it takes to get fitbit data?
Fingers crossed that has some answers

They need to check past the weir towards the other areas. I was asked why I knew their business address was at the park. I do not make stuff up!!!

Just been revealed the Caravan park near where #NicolaBulley disappeared was owned by Ansell engineering and Paul Bulley was a Director of the company. Maybe some one had an issue with them? who knows.

His name is NOT Paul Bulley. His name is Paul Ansell.

Crumpetdisappointment · 09/02/2023 07:37

i am sure that is has been establishd as a different caravan site

The business address was miles away, at a house next to a completely different caravan park. It would have taken you two minutes to check that.

It's interesting to note that in PF's tweet yesterday evening he stated that all tangible leads suggest the river.

Wyre and I confirm that Nicola has not been found. Although all tangible leads suggest the river, her whereabouts still remain unknown.

That's because the only bit of 'evidence' they have is the phone.
On a podcast before that tweet, he still reiterates that he doesn't think she's in the water.
It's also why I think he's had cross words with the police.

"Data automatically syncs to the Fitbit app throughout the day. Each time you open the Fitbit app, your device syncs automatically when it's nearby."

For data to sync, as far as I'm aware, a Bluetooth connection needs to be established and the Fitbit needs to be nearby.

But with their tech team I'm sure there must be another way of seeing the data?

Oaktree55 · 09/02/2023 07:41

Most bodies that end up in tidal waters aren’t found immediately I don’t find it surprising at all that she hasn’t been located yet.

melonraspberry · 09/02/2023 07:41

I don’t think PF’s language is particularly precise, so I don’t think too much should be read into that .

What would be the reason it hasn't synced since Tuesday if she had her phone with her? Not charged?

I think you need to understand further, about where it’s tidal. The depth on going in, the timelines, what searches have been done. What ir was when she went in etc, then you’d be as surprised as the experts.

ginsparkles · 09/02/2023 07:43

@ofwarren all tangible leads sort of implies more than one lead? Which kind of makes me think it's not just the phone/harness thing.

I don't believe she's in the water, but something is making the police very certain she is.

I hope she's safe somewhere. I hope she's found soon.

The alternative doesn't bear thinking about really

What would be the reason it hasn't synced since Tuesday if she had her phone with her? Not charged?

She may simply not have enabled Bluetooth on her phone to sync it since Tuesday - I know I turn my Bluetooth off permenantly as it drains my battery.

I turn it on manually to sync my fitness tracker about once a week, sometimes every 2 weeks, and I do a lot of activity. I know it's all stored so I'm never in a rush to sync it over.

GoldenTicketForMummy · 09/02/2023 07:46

If it auto synchs maybe bluetooth was on and she did enter the water near her phone wherever the phone was at the time (not necessarily near the bench).

Scenario: phone drops on the ground for some reason she enters the water for some reason (voluntarily or involuntarily) she swims or tries to swim and phone logs swimming hence the police know she entered the water.

This could be the evidence they don't want to share with the public. Maybe it's not true that the FB didn't synch since Tuesday.

Activelyannoyed · 09/02/2023 07:48

I find it really disturbing now as I am starting to think the most likely scenario is someone has hurt her. And they are getting away with it.

RubyPip · 09/02/2023 07:48

I think the tangible leads are:

  1. witness places her in area
  2. dog found in area
  3. dog harness found in area
  4. phone found in area
  5. absence of any evidence of criminal activity
  6. absence of CCTV she left the area
  7. absence of any sightings that she left the area

Not that I'm convinced now that there isn't third party involvement. They just haven't found anything to go on.

PictureConsequences · 09/02/2023 07:49

A PP mentioned that the weir wasn't there when the boy fell in all that time ago. What difference does the weir make, would it slow the current?

justalittlebit3 · 09/02/2023 07:50

It would be almost impossible for a body to go over the weir. I have canoed over the weir many times and if the water is low, as it was on the day NB went missing, it is difficult to get over in a canoe, a body wouldn't go over it. The river at this point is quite docile unless flooded, that's why canoeists use it.

However, looking at the path taken it is possible NB fell in after the weir. The river after the weir is tidal, tides push up all the way to the weir. I have had BBQ's on the little beach just past the weir and sometimes the river changes direction when the tide comes in on the Fylde Coast as it pushes back towards the weir, but not past it.

This thread is so distasteful and the people on it so aggressive. Ugh.

Is someone forcing you to read it?

ginsparkles · 09/02/2023 07:52

@RubyPip that makes sense. The absence of evidence being a lead in itself.
