I really can't believe this, but...

I've no idea what they thought it would go on, not being one of them. But I'm pretty sure defence against manslaughter did not cross most people's minds at the time.

Accomodation in Portugal probably.

These legal costs?

Did anyone actually contribute? What do you reckon?

McEdam · 11/09/2007 20:22

Oh for heaven's sake, no-one has shown that there is any danger at all of them using the funds for that purpose. It's just the figment of someone's lurid imagination. And as has been very patiently pointed out, it would probably be impossible under the relevant regulations and laws anyway.

Why get so het up over something that isn't happening, anyway?

I expect that will get deleted but I feel better.

Off to wash my brain out with bleach and do something normal

TellusMater · 11/09/2007 20:26

I apologise.

I was just struck by MP's view that's all. I disagreed with it. And said so. No unpleasantness (I hope).

please just stop this, it is getting redicolous, the police cant release info so anything apart from official statements is rubbish

the dna could be important or it could be irrelevant but presumerably this will be decided by someone who has trained in forensic sciences not a poster on here who saw a dvd box set of csi once and became an expert

and as for hair, do you not have a hairbrush for your child, might you not then use it for a sibling? or found a hair on a blanket/toy etc.?there are a million possible explanations for there being a hair only one of which is sinister so maybe we should let the people trained to do this job do it

Aitch · 11/09/2007 20:27

popsycal · 11/09/2007 20:27

morningpaper · 11/09/2007 20:34

Shall I set up a nice simple Madeleine McCann thread title a la Netmums and ask everyone to post there and scream at anyone who starts new lurid thread titles?

BBBee · 11/09/2007 20:36

YES!

ScoobyDooooo · 11/09/2007 20:37

I do think the title is awful.

lionheart · 11/09/2007 20:40

Come away, Franny.

It's gruesome around here.

maisym · 11/09/2007 21:13

hulababy - the twins imho should be treated like any other kids in a family with such allegations against them.

plus read the thunderer column in the times today - makes alot of sense.

LittleBella · 11/09/2007 21:18

bobbysmum, it is not up to a victim of an allegation to prove that they didn't do what is alleged.

It is up to the accuser to prove his/ her allegation.

As the daughter of a member of the police force, you ought to know that.

maisym · 11/09/2007 21:33

.

ayashasky · 11/09/2007 21:36

I really dont know what is worse; to be accused of murdering your own child and be innocent or to murder your own child. However this tragic story ends my heart goes out to all the innocent people caught up in it.
