Large amount of Madeleine's hair 'found in boot of parents' hire car'

www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in...

I really can't believe this, but...

OP posts:
maisym · 11/09/2007 19:36

just read this on skynews - wonder what will happen, wonder what it all means.

the untouchables might have to answer some difficult questions - perhaps they might have their parenting called into question in the uk.

maisym, just clicked on this...are you taking the piss?

TellusMater · 11/09/2007 19:40

Sorry, but LOL at this: "perhaps they might have their parenting called into question in the uk."

Um.....

maisym · 11/09/2007 19:40

wildwomen - don't understand you? I just answered the op

wildwoman · 11/09/2007 19:41

You have given them the nickname the untouchables??????

wildwoman · 11/09/2007 19:42

and there is only one of me.

maisym · 11/09/2007 19:42

should I copyright that?

maisym · 11/09/2007 19:42
  • sorry wildwoman
morningpaper · 11/09/2007 19:43

MaisyM, they are not untouchables, they are the prime suspects in a potential murder enquiry. The parents always always always are.

Nonetheless, the OP is nonsense, so please don't take her post and the thread title as being meaningful or "true".

wildwoman · 11/09/2007 19:45

you are joking surely?

maisym · 11/09/2007 19:46

mp - they seem untouchable to me as if anyone makes a critism of them it's seen as unacceptable.

tellus - yes I really think something should be done about them leaving their kids and about the allegation of them being drugged to make them sleep.

wildwoman · 11/09/2007 19:47

have you heard of nnocent until proven guilty? Or if that's too tricky...compassion?

bobbysmum07 · 11/09/2007 19:47

I tell you what, my opinion may not be popular on these boards, but I bet most people in the world would find the idea of any parent using money from a fund set up to help find their missing child to bankroll their own legal defence utterly reprehensible.

And all you people stating otherwise on the grounds of your "utter distaste" should just think how that makes you look in the eyes of the watching world (or whoever you think looks at this site).

wildwoman · 11/09/2007 19:47

innocent

TellusMater · 11/09/2007 19:48

No, what I meant was...I have seens oodles of criticism of them as parents. And not just on here (although plenty on here). So the idea of it starting made me

Hulababy · 11/09/2007 19:48

maisym - what exactly sdo you want to happen to the twins and SS in the uk?

morningpaper · 11/09/2007 19:48

perhaps the "something" that should be done about "allegations" is that you should stop repeating them ad nauseum when they have no basis in verified fact?

perhaps it is a little unecessary to criticise and judge parents who are grieving the loss of their child?

What are you getting OUT OF IT? It's been four months FGS!

beansprout · 11/09/2007 19:49

Oh bobbysmum, you really are the truthsayer and we are so lucky to have you

TellusMater · 11/09/2007 19:49

And if you mean officially, well I believe they are seeing social services this week, although I read this in a newspaper, and reports do seem to be changing hourly, so God knows the truth...

SSSandy2 · 11/09/2007 19:50

they may well say they have found loads of hair but they've been saying this and saying that, refuting it the next day, saying conflicting things, swinging back and forth

I wouldn't believe them if they told me my name was SSSandy2, really I wouldn't.

Wait and see what happens. Bet you this all turns out to be nothing, like every other great advance in the case we had before. In any case I'm not baiting my breath on account of the hair.

LittleBella · 11/09/2007 19:50

Bobbysmum can you give us proof that the McCann's are using the funds to hire a lawyer?

No?

Thought not. Imagine my suprise.

Hulababy · 11/09/2007 19:51

bobbysmum07 - I gather you do not believe in the whole INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY line???

TellusMater · 11/09/2007 19:51

I don't think anyone would think this was a good use of the money bobbysmum. But maybe other people are waiting to see if it actually true before they start condemning it.
