MADELEINE news updates - a new positive thread

For those of you who are interested - and don't want any arguing - the news update according to Sky

  • police are now looking for a man seen in a white van
  • they have an e-fit of him
  • also want to interview an american who lives locally who owns a white van and hasn't been seen for the last few days
  • reward of £1.5M has been offered by the News of the World

I think that's a whole new topic - there is some shocking evidence in the US showing that missing black kids barely get a mention - but do we really want to get into that on this thread? It's not going to help the current situation and it's not news updates. It's somewhere up there with the discussion re leaving children on their own. All of that will no doubt be thrashed out in the press and on here once there is some sort of conclusion to Madeleine's situation.

God, I just wish they would find her.

Err quietmouse, she realises that if she talks through the hedge to reporters, then she will get 9 minutes of coverage on Sky News, and then millions of people will be thinking about her missing child rather than the fact that John McDonnell needs 18 more MPs to back him so he can challenge Gordon Brown for the Labour leadership.

She's very sensible

mp - it was a 70 yr old mother talking through the hedge - the mother of the formal suspect not the mother of the abducted child

Jenni Morat's behave could indeed be seen as odd. Bet than again I doubt she knows how to behave in these circumstances.

I am so sorry if anyone mis understood my post. I have asked for it to be deleted. I was following on from someone else's update, which mentioned the suspects mother again talking to Sky News and telling them what had been removed from her house.....

someone earlier put the idea that Jenny Moran may have said something through the hedge to 'warn' others what was happening knowing it will be on the telly

though if you have a crowd of very persisitant journos experienced in getting info out of people who are all shouting direct questions at you it must be pretty hard not to say something. And she is an old lady.
Haven't seen the 'exclusive interview' on sky with the main suspect but it culd be literally a journo tracking him down and catching him dashing from a car to a housr and shouting out pertinent questions and he has responded. I may be wrong and he may have actually took time to speak to a journo
