For those of you who are interested - and don't want any arguing - the news update according to Sky

  • police are now looking for a man seen in a white van
  • they have an e-fit of him
  • also want to interview an american who lives locally who owns a white van and hasn't been seen for the last few days
  • reward of £1.5M has been offered by the News of the World

QM, the descriptions Do fit, but where is she?..it all seemed as if it was coming to a conclusion, then nothing?, im sure they is more going on like ive said before, i mean who of us knew there wwere 4 more properties being searched??.am praying all the time she IS found safe and unharmed

and if it was just reporter thinking murat was 'odd' why were his girlfriend and exh found and brought in?..too much stacking up against them for me i think??

how's about you all go over to portugal and ask him what he's done with her? seeing as how he's been found guilty already?

HAve the police confirmed his girlfriend was questioned? I think not - in fact they said they had questioned two people, one of whom was considered a suspect, so that doesn't tie in with what the media claim they know already does it...

the police confirmed they had questioned two other people. did they confirm that it was the girlfriend and the ex? or was that just sky/the daily mail? Come to think of it, the parents were questioned on thursday night, until 3 in the morning apparently, so maybe they should be viewed as suspects as well?

QM - but it's press reports so not exactly "hard evidence" is it now?

I still don't 100% think robert morat is telling the truth but until more "hard evidence" is supplied by the portugese police leading this investigation i don't think we can all sit here speculating & saying he has done this.

I agree with wanna. I think we should all reserve judgement until the facts are apparent. Innocent until proven guilty is an important foundation to any case imo.

If he is guilty then hopefully due process will find this to be so.

Quietmouse because he hasn?t been charged with a crime. Because everything that is written about him has come from the media and none of it has been officially confirmed by the police. We live in a society where people are tried in court, based on evidence gathered during official investigations, not by the public based on what the media have printed about them. And until he has been arrested and charged with a crime, and taken to court, he is innocent until proven guilty.

So the press say he had child porn on his computer. Do you not think that If that was true, the police would have arrested him on that charge alone? Just because it?s written in the media, doesn?t mean it?s true.

And in the meantime he?s been named and his wife and child have had to be taken to safety, and what if he?s innocent? What if he really was just an over enthusiastic bloke in the wrong place at the wrong time? His life, and that of his ex wife, and 4 year old daughter, who had absolutely nothing to do with this, will have been ruined for ever, and for what? So that the journalists could get their fix and print their story.

I certainly don't-sadly,innocent or not he is an adult,not a shild separated from her parents and undergoing God knows what.

THe important thing is to re-unite MAdeleine with her parents-hanging the sick bastard who took her (whoever that may be) Must come later.

As an asided-Wannabe-having child porn on your computer may not be an offence in Portugal shichmay be why they couldn't arrest him for it,if indeed it has been found....jsut a thought.
