This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

I can draft a letter when I get home from work tonight but if anyone can move sooner then that would be great. Is a letter from a group of us the right way?

What would we want from them? I am thinking that we want corporations that can afford Spanish TV/mass newspaper adverts ideally. So we are talking big corporate sponsor here.

ey wait a minute no need to turn this into a row. people do have the right to disagree, and sometimes their reasons can be valid ones so imo it's important to take all comments on board as long as they're not openly nasty ones.

Also I think people should say she's four - she's four this weekend and if I was looking out for a child i do have a different mental picture of 3 and 4 year olds.

Hang on a minute, colleagues of Gerry McCann from Leicester Hospital have already drafted an email with poster, that is doing the rounds now. Can we not just circulate that as much as possible?

Just want to add to the convo about Hills looking at child abuse sites on internet, those type of sites are routinely monitored by Police protection services around the world. I know someone who works at Child protection in the UK police and they are always monitoring those sites, so if she did appear on them, they would spot it. Don't expose yourself to any risk, these people are trained and counselled extensively to that for us. Be thankful they're there for us!

glass slipper - we are helping the family with their poster campaign by sending the poster of Madeleine to as many contacts as we can find in Spain and in turn asking them to spread the word.

They have already designed a poster and translated it into Spanish.

We are adding a spanish title for the email header and then if mumsnetters want to help, they can use the internet to gather email addresses and attach the poster.
