New thread to discuss the developments from the news for Madeleine Mccann

I know the other thread got a bit out of hand but lets keep this one nice if possible.

I think it is good to discuss all that is happening in the news & also good to see peoples views on what is happening in the news.

The lastest i can see so far is that Madeleins parents want to keep focused on the finding of there daughter & want to keep this in the news they don't want things to turn on the police investigation & how it is being handled.

Mr & Mrs Mccann have also decided they want an E poster which they are going to be sending out through email to spread the news so that everyone, everywhere can look out for beautiful Madeleine.

A Mumsnetter has just found out her baby is disabled with a nasty skin condition (do you remember that Johnny documentary?)

perhaps we oculd leave this, pop here and give some support instead fo fighting?

I have just asked for my thread which unintentionslly went the same judgmental way to be deleted.

I just heard that the police are now focussing on two men and a woman sighted in a car with (possibly) Madeleine.

people have a rigt to express them of course, and people have a right to be offended and say so.

You seem nippy about people being offended. maybe you should look for a country where everyomne can say what they want and no one can be ever offended or call people judgemantal

Perhaps expat was making the point that a person doesnt have the right to censor other people's opinion by requesting deletion, because the discussion didnt go the way they wanted it to?

Glad the fighting seems to have eased off for now... you know what, all of us who say 'I have never nor will do similar to what the McCann's did' if you look back and memory serves you well, you probably have, in different circumstances, in a different way perhaps. My Sister has two boys, she's neurotic at the best of times, and especially where her kids are concerned. She was speaking to me yesterday and realised that she'd left her eldest (before no. 2 was born) in a hotel room with a baby listening service provided by the hotel while she partied downstairs. So she said "I've done it too." I tried to reassure her that she was in the same building, but she said "yes, but someone could have broken into the room. Baby listening service or not, if these people are going to take a child they will find a way. They are very cunning and devious.

I've been on family breaks to holiday complexes where we've let the DC run around and entertain themselves then come back to where we are. Some of them little more than toddlers.

The McCanns may not have made the wisest decision, but now of course they know that. Nobody will blame them more than they will be blaming themselves right now.

No its not layman, there are a few but in the main those who stay around are not

Now I know that what I?m going to say now is going to sound like wild speculation, but to me the fact that police are apparently ?investigating links to paedophile rings? and are ?investigating a car with two men and a woman? don?t seem to say the same thing.

Generally, and obviously I know there are exceptions to every rule, but generally, paedophiles are not women. Now obviously there are some vile women out there who have committed some horrific crimes, so women are by no means all lovely cuddly child-friendly people, but as a rule, I would be less inclined to think that if a woman was involved, it would lead to something as horrible as has been suggested above.

Has there been any talk of someone who knew or was known to the family or had a grievence against them?
